Was my second favorite strain I got right below Durban poison. Wasnt a huge fan of the other strains but at $50 an ounce those two strains where absolute steals!
Not entirely sure on the genetics behind this Humboldt Pie as there seems to be conflicting crosses. If im going by the terp profile, I'm guessing this is Humboldt Kush x Cherry Pie. Super dense and plump in structure, showcasing pastel like... colours of light greens and purples. Finely cured and tightly trimmed, allowing this one to show off it's greasy, long stalked trichomes. Sticky as well, specifically when ground up, making joints a breaze to roll.
A profile that produces aromas and flavours of sweet herbs, earth, and pine, followed by subtle floral accents. There's also some hints of mild kush that seep through, specifically on exhale. Although not my most favourite of profiles, this one does manage to provide a smooth and clean smoke, leaving behind a light grey ash.
A hybrid leaning strain that promotes evenly balanced effects, beginning with a mood lifting and spacey high. It soon morphs into more of a mellow and calming couch lock but one that's easy to bounce back from. Great for winding down or kicking off the evening as it's not too heavy and won't put a halt to your plans.
My first round of reviews with QuadSquad and WeedPrime were some of my favourites I've done as of late and this round is proving to be the exact same. Starting with this lovely cut of Platinum Kush and probably the best bag appeal I've s...een on this strain. Super sticky, resinous buds, packed with copious amounts of trichomes and dark orange hairs. Displaying an impressive combination of photogenic colours that range from different shades of greens to light and dark purples. All complimented by a neat trim and flawless cure.
A pungent, pink dominant profile that slaps the nostrils with it's intoxicating aromas of sweet fuel and earth, followed by those customary pink kush floral/perfume accents on the back end. The taste is strikingly similar, replicating those same terpenes found in the aromas in the form of a thick and heavy smoke. It's smooth but has a little bit of a raspyness to it as I've noticed many Platinum strains to have. The burn is nice and greasy, producing a thick oil ring that's followed by a light salt and pepper ash.
The high on this plat pink is a very potent one, only taking a small amount to feel medicated. Beginning with a flurry of cerebral and euphoric effects that shroud the mind with cloudy, spaced out thoughts, making it easy to get lost in whatever you're doing all while grinning from ear to ear. It's not long where the physical qualities kick in, encouraging total relaxation with unavoidable lazy, couch locked tendencies. Definitely a good choice for a night time indica.
I feel like a really good cut of Black Diamond can match or even surpass the looks and even terps of some high end exotics when done right. This is definitely one of those times. Beautiful, dark purple and green buds that are caked to the brim, ...literally looking like they've been left out under a snowfall. The buds are dense even though the extra sugar leaf on the surface gives them a fluffy appearance, containing a semi sticky texture in and out. Terrifically cured as well.
Super pungent profile on this Black Diamond right out of the bag, getting even stronger upon cracking a bud open. A lovely concoction of sweet berries and grapes mixed with roasted nuts and pine. There's also a very sharp touch of fuel in there. The taste is a little different but still carries over a subtle berry sweetness that's backed by flavours of earth and musky pine, almost leaving a hashy kind of taste on the tongue. Relatively smooth smoking, burning with a salt and pepper ash a small oil ring.
A very mellow, easy going, hybrid high with a moderate potency. More of a jack of all trades kind of buzz as it offers a bit of everything. Mentally and physically relaxing with euphoric, uplifted tendencies. Even being quite the social and giggly high given the right circumstances. Overall a great rendition of an underated strain.
Decided to start off this round of reviews from Monkey Budz with a strain that I haven't had a whole lot nor have been hugely impressed by in the past. This organic batch of King Louis by Abbots...ford Organics definitely changed my mind however. Nothing too fancy about the looks but it definitely made up for it in other areas as a book can't always be judged by it's cover. A mix of light and dark green nugs that are topped off with a decent layer of crystals and thin orange hairs. Greasy and extremely sticky, undoubtedly needing a grinder to efficiently chop up. A few out of place leaves here and there and a cure that is on point.
Now this is a super nostalgic profile that immediately took me back a good few years. Heavily pungent and dank, emanating strong odours of sweet diesel-gas and pine, accented by hints of rich earth. Impossible for being discreet as it instantly drowns the room in it's powerful-almost noxious fumes. It seamlessly translates to exhale providing thick and savoury hits of sweet pine and diesel. Full flavoured and incredibly smooth for how milky the smoke is. Clean burning as well leaving behind a light ash paired with a hefty oil ring.
Relaxing and very mellow in effects, providing a strong euphoric head buzz accompanied by couch locking tendencies. An indica leaning high that I find ideal for lumbering around the house when not much needs to be done as it's very lazy and narcotic feeling. It can also promote some drowsiness which is a welcomed treat if you are looking for a sleep aid.
Just like the Brownie I previously reviewed, this Lemon Blueberry Streusel Muffin was absolutely delicious. Not even in a ”delicious for an edible type way” but just delicious. Super fresh and soft too with a moist bite and next to zero weed... flavour. The only thing is that it arrived a little squished.
I found the potency and effects to be minor however and I'm not sure I would consider it to be a 250mg dosing. I ate the entire muffin after eating the brownie in two separate halves and wanted to see if it would hit harder but the results were similar. A light to medium euphoric high that sticks around for a solid 30 minutes before plateauing and dissipating. Definitely a tasty treat but not much more than that.
An old-school pairing of God Bud x OG Kush, bringing together these majestic looking buds that glisten from head to toe with their heavy blanket of full headed trichomes. A beautiful structure as well, with semi dense, slightly fox tailed buds that... display vibrant shades of greens and purples. Very photogenic and impressive bag appeal with a cure that is equally as great, leaving them with just the right amount of stickiness. A little extra sugar leaf on certain nugs but overall the trim is decent.
An aroma profile that borrows traits from each parent as it offers notes of sweet, earthy kush, followed by nutty, herbal undertones. Reminiscent of certain herbal tea's in ways. The terpenes carry over to flavour, providing the same sweet, kushy nuances and ending with an earthy, herbal exhale. An effortlessly smooth smoke, burning to a fluffy white ash that's followed by a quick building resin ring.
The high is somewhat of a creeper-not in the sense of delayed effects, but rather the potency as time progresses. Real heady and euphoric, provoking wandering thoughts, making it difficult to offer your attention to multiple things at once. Very relaxing as well, which only attributes to the calming body buzz it eventually delivers. Would definitely recommend this indica hybrid for afternoon or evening use as it leaves you happily lazy and not too functional at all.
This frosted brownie was a deliciously scrumptious treat that arrived extremely fresh and moist with a very subtle cannabis aftertaste. Definitely needs some discipline to not immediately devour straight away.
The effects were rather light however after c...onsuming half, with the other half following a short while after. I did feel a euphoric and elated buzz kicking in minutes into eating the first 175mg but it plateaued after 20-30 min and resurfaced upon eating the second half for another short while. Perhaps more suited towards lower tolerance individuals or those not looking to get completely obliterated.
This UBC Chemo is a select pheno of Remo Chemo and another one of Onyx Phenos staple strains. Possibly even their golden child as it ended up being my favourite of the three strains I tried. Beautiful, greasy appearance to these forest green buds, equipped with a heavy amount of resinous trichomes a...nd light coloured pistils. Dense and sticky to the touch, basically rolling itself in a joint. Decent trim and cure to round it all up minus the extra foliage.
The profile of this UBC Chemo is very reminiscent of Bubba which I believe is in it's genetics. Very earthy and sour, accented by dank notes of pine and kush. I like to refer to this terp profile as ”sweaty kush”, as it's so pungent and musky, especially on exhale where it's met with hints of sour pine. Definitely an acquired taste as it really does sting the senses. Clean burning and smooth smoking, resulting in a light ash and oily resin ring.
This one offers a slow building, yet potent high, excelling in physical effects and providing full body relaxation. It's also paired with calming and sedating qualities that can offer some pain relief in larger amounts. Cerebrally uplifting as well, allowing you to peacefully drift off while glued to the couch. Definitely a strain to save for evenings as it can put one in a physically lazy state.
