I'll always have a soft spot for Romulan as it's one of the most memorable experiences I've had with a strain back in the day. This very well trimmed nug of Romulan sports a pale olive green complexion with slight hues of yellow to i...t, followed by a decent amount of milky trichomes along a plethora of tan coloured pistils. Chunk and dense in structure with a sticky texture and great cure to match.
Haven't had this strain in quite some time but it's trademark Romulan aromas instantly brought me back. Pungent and robust, producing funky fruity notes that are met with scents of pine needles and herbs. Instantly fills up the vicinity with it's noxious fumes. Translates accurately to taste with that fruity funk taking the forefront, followed by undertones of pine, herbs and spices. So smooth for how thick the smoke is, burning with a salt and pepper ash and paired with a greasy oil ring.
Pardon my Rihan but this Romulan is potent as f*ck, producing a trippy, dreamy, in your head type of stone that can be overwhelming to some as it's very scattered and spacey. It gets even stronger with time, especially when adding in it's body buzzing, indica leaning qualities. It's relaxing tendencies make it great for melting away into the couch and getting lost in a show or movie. Not an instant KO as it's more of a marathon vs a short sprint type ordeal with it's long lasting effects that can eventually lead to some sedation.
Can't go wrong with a sticky, greasy Death Bubba and that's exactly what this jagged, slightly fox tailed one is. Very resinous looking with it's heavy trichome coverage, followed by an olive green appearance that's met with hint...s of purple and a fair amount of pale orange hairs. Very well trimmed with only some of the sugar sticky leaf left behind paired with a great cure.
Exactly the profile I would expect with this pungent strain. Familiar and welcoming aromas of fuel, pine, and earth that tickle the nostrils when going in for a smell. The flavour is identical. Silky smooth gas with undertones of dank earth and pine. Initially very easy on the exhale but can weigh a little heavy on the lungs moments later. Joints burn slow and oily, leaving behind light salt and pepper ash.
Classic Death Bubba high producing heavy bouts of relaxation accompanied by dreamy, euphoric effects. Can easily feel your whole demeanor begin to change and mellow out after the initial toke. Just like any good ole DB, the sedative side soon follows up, providing you with a tingly, heavy limbed body buzz and heavy eyelids. Perfect for a late evening smoke session.
This Pura Breath is along the same lines as the Tuna Kush I previously reviewed. It has a lovely bag appeal and decent nose but burns completely dark and arrived a little on the dry side. Also found a bunch of very tiny premature seeds that are e...asy to miss if not looking for them.
Interesting nose to this strain despite it's issues. Very funky and almost repulsive as it's a combination of body odor, fuel, and pine with a little rubbery garlic kind of thing going on. The taste however is impacted by the quality of the burn as the cherry never wants to fully get going. It's mostly a flavour of dank earth and pine but it's hard to get much more than that, especially when factoring in the harshness.
I didn't smoke much of this one and outed the joint less than halfway through as it's ash is completely black and smudges and stains the fingers. I can only comment on it's effects to a certain degree but it seems like it packs a good potency and would have some potential as it left me with a stoney head high from the little I smoked.
Gave this Tuna Kush a little longer jar time with an integra before reviewing in hopes of pumping some life back in to it as it arrived feeling pretty crisp. The humidity pack definitely did it's job in bringing back the moisture and it's actually quite sticky now. Sadly, it didn't help ...at all with the very dark black ash and unpleasant throat raspyness, especially in a bong.
The nose has a decent gassy tuna aroma to it and the flavours are there as well but it's not something you want to keep smoking as your throat continues to feel irritated. It's one saving grace are it's potent effects that hit like a tuna should but overall it's just not enjoyable to put it in the simplest terms.
More pics. Can even spot a seed or seed pod in one : https://imgur.com/a/FPhN3rP
This Blue Monkey has some great visuals and smells terrific. Like a blend of tropical berries and pine. Unfortunately it stops there.
It arrived very dry and crisp, leaving behind flakes when tryin...g to take a picture as it was that crumbly. Four days with an Integra has done it wonders texture wise but the taste is extremely muted. One of those times where joints just taste like smoke with no distinguishable or stand out terpenes and it wants to burn fast and super hot.
I also found a couple seeds which weren't fully premature but also didn't look viable.
The smoke was a little sharp and burned with a darker grey ash and not very enjoyable at all. Put it out half way and I felt minor sativa effects come on that were more heady and focused than anything. Definitely should be under a budget category with all it's flaws.
(can't find this one on the site anymore. Not sure if it's been removed or sold out)
Apparently this batch burned bad and while it wasn't my experience (several factors included) I'll remove my review. I acknowledged and mentioned the seeds which are definitely a nuisance and suggested to them that the price of this Congo should have reflected this batch a few days ago in a ...discord server.
Another new one for me. This Secret Recipe is a cross of Chemdawg X Abusive OG X Diesel. A super plump, chunky unit of a bud that boasts a rock solid density. Prying it apart reveals a very sticky texture, leaving my fingers clinging together af...ter breaking it down for the grinder. Displaying some lovely colours as well that are a mix of soft purples and light greens with a healthy serving of crystals and peach-orange hairs. Very well trimmed and cured too.
This one reminds me of some Sour Tahoe which is no stretch considering they both have Sour Diesel ancestors. A classic nose on her, ranging from sour, earthy OG to nutty, citrusy diesel. Translates efficiently over to the taste with the diesel taking the forefront backed by undertones of wet earth and subtle hints of fruity citrus. Clean burning with a salt and pepper ash though maybe a little heavy on exhale as the smoke is quite thick and lung expanding.
A completely care free and easy going hybrid high that begins with a strong, headband like, mind stone, feeling a building pressure behind the eyes and forehead. It doesn't take long before the relaxing side kicks in too, and paired with the euphoric effects-can easily make for a happy and blissful high. Not sedating but surely can have you in a bit of a lazy state with it's soothing and relaxing qualities.
Not the craziest looking Gelato compared to some cuts I've had but this Gelato still has quite a decent bag appeal. Dense and conical in structure, with the buds sporting an olive green appearance that is met by numerous amounts of thin brown hairs. Also equipped with a healthy amount of full he...aded trichomes. A tad crispy on the exterior but still fairly sticky when broken up and there's some excess foliage towards the base of the buds.
The profile of this gelato is a very peppery dominated one. Aromas and flavours of spicy earth and a touch of sweetness. Unfortunately, It really lacks those creamy gelato terps that the strain is known for. Burns decently clean and smooth on the bright side, providing a medium sized resin ring and light ash.
I found the high to be slightly uplifting and very cerebral in nature, great for mornings or afternoons. Leaves you mentally engaged and focused while delivering a clear headed stone. Perhaps more sativa leaning in nature as this gelato provides enough motivation and energy to stay busy and remain functional.
This Blue Moonshine is a DJ Short bred strain with deeply rooted Blueberry qualities and a lineage that is quite impressive, involving some old school pioneers. The buds are heavy, dense, and sticky, sporting a healthy light green complexion wit...h many thin orange hairs. Heavy trichome coverage, displaying many resinous heads that are still intact and visible, followed by an overall decent trim and great cure.
Extremely pleasant nose on this flower, smelling of sweet blueberries and flowers with subtle hints of herbs and spices. Even giving off that baked goods vibe from time to time. These aromas accurately translate over to the smoke, bringing forth a tasty blueberry inspired smoke that's followed by gentle flavours of peppered earth and sweet pine. The most impressive part is the burn, providing a completely white ash and a hefty oil ringer from start to finish.
Listed as indica dominant but I found it to be more hybrid like in nature with it's even Steven qualities. A mellow combination of heady and body effects that work in tandem together to provide a euphoric and relaxed high. Nothing that's going to break any THC records as I never found Blueberry strains to be super potent but more of an uplifted, mood enhancing type buzz that's fit for any time of day.
