Up next from Cookies & Gas, Apple Sherbmints. An enticing cross between Apple Fritter x Sherb Mints bred and cultivated by Cookies & Gas. ...Arriving mainly as one robust cola, super greasy and sticky to the touch and covered in an absurd amount of full heads. Certainly a beautiful specimen of a flower as the visuals are striking. Her colours are a mix of forest and pale mint greens that delicately intertwine with specks of purple and a lush forest of thick orange pistils.
This one just keeps getting better with time as it continues to cure. It initially smelled very fresh and a little muted out of the bag but after having it a few weeks the aromas developed into a fruity goodness that reminds me of a tropical ”blue” strain profile. I get this lovely cherry apple kind of thing going on, hard to say exactly, with an added herbal sweetness. Closest strain I could compare it to is forbidden fruit. The flavours could be a little tame in comparison to the nose as the terps aren't as fruity, delivering more of a herbal, kushy, slightly earthy taste with a subtle sweetness. Burns great, producing a heavy amount of resin and clean light ash.
The high provided by this strain felt to be around the 50/50 hybrid mark to me as it's really balanced and offers a bit of everything. Definitely more of a daytime smoke overall I'd say, beginning with a potent stimulating cerebral stone that's great for being creative or vibing out to music. It tapers off into more of a relaxing high further down the road but nothing of the sedative nature, just very calming, all while retaining it's mood boosting, upbeat qualities.
No need for an introduction when it comes to the remarkable fan favourite that is Khalifa Mints aka Baby Yoda. I see why people are constantly hyping it. It's because the hyp...e is 100% warranted. I've had two seperate batches now and I've fallen in love twice. I do feel like this current LSO batch outshines the last which is crazy to think that something could get tastier and prettier but it certainly does. And these are only the smalls.
Nose and taste are off the charts. No lack of terps whatsoever and I notice this most when I don't smoke any for a few days. Explosive. Just as I remember the prior batch but louder and more defined. So many different layers and nuances. Creamy, piney, spicy, kushy, minty, with a delicate lemon accent, all coming together to deliver a thick pallet smothering smoke that is smooth as silk. So rich and incense like in the way it fills my entire house with it's scent and everyone that has came over has commented on it. Once again, the burn is nothing short of excellent, producing a clean light ash and fat oil ring.
Might as well just use my description from the last time around as I feel the effects were uncanny with this current one : This stuff gets me pretty darn baked, especially the first couple of times I smoked it or when not getting overly familiar with it. It's flexible enough to enjoy as a daytime smoke if you have a higher tolerance but just make sure to wisely keep the schedule clear beforehand. Found it to be extremely heady and euphoric in a very spaced out, unfocused, day-dreamy fashion. Maybe even a little overwhelming for some. It's also super relaxing in nature with couch locking capabilities that can lead to sedation in the long run. HC killed it once again and these smalls are a terrific value.
First off, a shout out to Classics for coming through with the lightning speed local delivery after the holiday...s when I nearly ran out! No stranger to this lovely strain and it looks stellar as usual. Comprised of deep dark purples that pictures sometimes don't even pick up on, followed by shades of forest green and a plethora of pale orange pistils and white trichs. Arrived on the drier side but the introduction of a humidity pack brought some life back. Still a little crisp but with a bit of stickiness within, allowing it to easily be broken up by hand but not to a point of dust.
Amazing nose on this strain and it definitely does the name justice. Literally smells like a mix of fresh orange juice and orange peels. Sweet, bitter, zesty citrus deliciousness. The taste comes through nicely although it's not the most terpiest representations of this strain but flavourful nonetheless. The burn is absolutely perfect with a clean white ash and medium sized resin ring, a true OG Higher Beings trademark with the cleanliness.
One of the best sativa dominant buzzes I could ask for when it comes to a wake and bake/daytime smoke. Mainly heady and focused with creative/productive properties that are also super uplifting and social in nature. Average potency with no burnout whatsoever. Definitely would love to try the new batch!
This would be my first time ever trying a Cookies & Gas product and boy was I excited to dive in. Have three di...fferent strains to review in total, starting first with the Kush Mints. The buds arrived looking fresh and healthy, sporting a forest green appearance with darker green foliage throughout and a heavy coating of greasy trichomes, followed by hints of purple and assortment of bright peach orange pistils. Dense but with some give to them, feeling sticky inside and out and breaking up to a tacky kinetic sand like texture perfect for rolling.
Love the way this flower smells and it does a stellar job of representing both parents. Kushy, woody, herbal, and earthy with a sweet minty background. It becomes even more pungent as you're breaking into a bud. Translates accurately to the smoke with flavours of spicy kush, earth, and herbs with a delicate minty fresh taste that leaves the mouth feeling cool after exhaling. Burns perfectly with a greasy resin ring and clean light ash.
Potency is on point with a powerfully balanced high that offers a bit of everything ranging from a stoney cerebral high to a heavily relaxing body buzz. Found myself easily falling victim to a munchie fueled couch lock that rendered me pretty useless for the time being. Definitely catered to more of a late afternoon/evening smoke as it can have a significant burnt out effect in larger amounts.
Heralded as one of the most limonene rich strains. A cross between Lemon G x Face Off OG bx1, arriving feeling dense and crisp on the outside with an aver...age stickiness/moisture within. Very narrow in structure, tapering to an arrow head shape. Tons of long stalky trichs followed by a moss green, purple, and orange colour scheme.
The nose on this Lemon Heads reminds me a lemon peel infused mimosa. Sweet, zesty, and loud. The flavours are identical with a very citrusy mimosa tasting smoke that is just as defined as the smell. Didn't get a chance to smoke this one in a J but it burned nice and clean through the bong.
A slightly indica dominant hybrid with a solid potency to boot. Anything with Face Off OG isn't going to disappoint on that front. A good mix of heady and physical effects that left me feeling relaxed and zoned out without a care in the world. Great ”chilling” weed that can be enjoyed anytime of the day really.
One of three West Coast Exclusive indicas I'll be covering this time around, beginning with these fiesty little Rockstar smalls. Also available in mediums and large buds. Tiny in statur...e but more than make up for it in character. A nice vibrant mix of greens and purples with good trichome coverage. No larf and very little extra stem or foliage as they are pretty neatly trimmed. Decently sticky for such little popcorn nugs and they are very well cured too.
Nose is a classic sweet Rockstar gas with undertones of earth and spicy kush with the exact same going for the taste, resulting in a flavourful and super smooth smoke with zero heaviness on the lungs. Slow and greasy burning, producing a clean white ash in the process.
Equipped with a super calming heady and physical high that is very chill and laid back but not heavily sedating. Something I've always enjoyed about Rockstar. All the properties of a potent, euphoric, body buzzing, feel-good indica without the instant KO as it's more of slow builder. Great value overall for a clean and tasty gas.
Genetics : Cherry Pie x Alien Kush F2 X Cherry Pie x Alien Kush F2

I completely forgot about posting this delicious looking batch of The Real Gas Mask by BBF. (my bench was soaked from the snow that... day lol) Good news is I've managed to hold on to the pictures but the bad news is that I must have unknowingly deleted my review notes. I'll try to recollect my experience with this one as accurately as I can however. I'll keep it simple with a point form format this time around. buds were sticky and perfectly cured aromas and flavours of sweet intoxicating gas with cherry and earthy undertones The first time I've been able to distinguish the cherry pie genetics in a gas mask potent indica based high, lasted a considerable amount of time (Batch from early December. There is currently a new one on the menu)
(Title should read January 2022 not December 2021)
Strawberry Diesel

I've heard good things about this Strawberry Diesel from BBF and certainly would agree after testing it. Scooped this one up for a friend who is... a lighter/casual smoker and she's been very happy with it. I tried some of it as well in order to give it a quick write up and I'll say for a budget option it definitely checks out.
Buds are medium to large in size with a squishy, sticky texture and good moisture level. Nose reminds me of a violator kush in ways. Woody and spicy with an added burst of diesel and hint of strawberry in the background. Taste is woody, earthy, and diesel with a subtle strawberry sweetness. Smooth for the most part, just can't take a huge rip as the smoke is expansive like a haze and can trigger a cough. Burns to a salt and pepper ash, a little heavier on the pepper.
Light to medium potency with effects that are very much sativa hybrid like in nature. Perfect for a functional daytime smoke that won't slow you down mentally or physically. Upbeat and energizing, encouraging you to stay active and busy throughout it's average length course.
Glistening in trichomes from head to toe, these lovely GMO smalls arrived sporting a great visual appeal. They actually seem more like mediums! Only slight concern may be the moisture level as they in...itially felt very crisp to the touch and broke up with ease but a couple of days with an Integra perked them right up. The choice to be shipped with an Integra is also an option. Probably a wise decision with this freezing cold weather as of late.
Classic GMO nose that I've come to know and love. I really got an onion soup stock kind of vibe from this one paired with a bad breath funk and spicy fuel backing. The flavours were slightly toned down in comparison but still there, tasting of funky herbs, earth, and spice. The ash produced was on the darker grey side with a medium sized resin ring to boot. Mainly smooth but also left the throat feeling a little ticklish.
Effects seem to be of a decent potency overall. Beginning with a very cerebrally driven high that feels focused yet spaced out. One of my favorites for pairing with an exciting movie/show or video game as you feel completely engaged. It packs a relaxing side too but nothing substantial enough to call it sedating. Certainly fits the bill for a multi purpose smoke with uplifting and euphoric tendencies.
Dripping in full headed trichomes that fill every nook and cranny, this gorgeous batch of SC x KM is certainly a looker. A gorgeous mix of dark forest greens and soft viol...et purples, enveloped in entanglements of lush orange pistils as well as some of the white/pale green variety. I've had this strain a couple of times with the same look so it could be genetics or an slightly earlier harvest. Cure is on point. Sticky, greasy, dense, and snappy.
The nose on this one seemed to be a tad dormant until broken up where it produces a combination of cookie and earthy aromas with some tart notes and a familiar playdoh kind of smell as well as a delicate mintiness. There is also this fresh fruity type of aroma that I can relate to unripened fruit. The flavours are a mix of both parents with nuances of sweet woodsy pine and rich spicy earth. Didn't get any mint but it's still super enjoyable and smooth as you'd like, burning to a fluffy salt and pepper ash and a thick resin ring.
The high might be my favourite thing about this Sc x Km as it packs a wicked punch that I did not see coming. One of the more potent hybrids I've had in a while and a little goes a long way. Found it to be extremely heady and focused at first but gradually intensifies into more of a thought scattering, forgetful, 'what was I just saying or doing?' stone. Might be too much for the lower to average smoker to handle. It's also met by a very soothing physical high down the road that can easily develop into a low functioning, nap inducing couch lock. Really enjoyed the flower I tried from LSC overall and look forward to seeing what they cook up in '22.
