Judgement Criteria:
F A R M H A R D’s - Violator Kush
https://i.imgur.com/DDjXrlr.jpg
Smell:
Once run through a grinder, it has a nice mid-level sour/piney/kushy smell; that oddball violator appeal.
Cure:
Spot on; small, dense buds with a good bit of tackiness.
Bud Structure/Shape:
Small and elongated organic structure.
Trichome Colour/Ripeness:
Excellent ripeness! It may be a bit hard to see in the photo, but the trichome bulbs over most of the buds have started (are starting) to turn a nice ripe amber colour.
Vapour Flavour/Quality:
Fantastically smooth, dense vapour that lasts a long time. I am not personally a huge fan of the taste of violator, but it has a sort of a musty/kushy thing going on… In terms of strength, however, the vapour taste is quite mild compared to the throat varnish of WCC’s violator.
Duration:
Long. At least an hour from 0.2g bowl vaped.
Effects:
Very potent; I found myself very spaced out and daydreamy for a long time.
W E S T C O A S T C A N N A B I S’ - Violator Kush
https://i.imgur.com/2NCDU1a.jpg
Smell:
Smells like deck stain, like varnish. I don’t know what scary chemical caused this, but I don’t like it.
Cure:
Really nice cure, maybe a wee bit drier in the center of buds than FH.
Bud Structure/Shape:
Really nice, and much larger than FarmHard’s violator. Like violator on steroids by comparison (maybe true?).
Trichome Colour/Ripeness:
A lot less mature than FarmHard’s violator, the trichome’s on WCC’s violator run anywhere from clear to milky, they seem to be shorter by comparison, and I couldn’t spot much for amber coloured trichome bulbs.
Vapour Flavour/Quality:
Dense vapour at first but tapers off quick, the taste is similar to the smell; kinda like licking a newly varnished dining table. Vapour starts smooth but gets really harsh at higher temperatures, I found myself coughing a lot (note: do not have iron lungs).
Duration:
Shorter than FarmHard’s violator, I’d say about 35mins from an 0.2g bowl, and the burnout is heavier.
Effects:
Has the proper kush/violator effects, good body stone and head buzz. Not as dramatic or as quick acting as FarmHard’s violator, not as long lasting either. I got a mild unpleasant sensation from this bud too, kind of a sketchy feeling, hard to explain, like there are chemicals in it that I shouldn’t be ingesting.

The clear winner in this first ever Battle of the Buds is FarmHard.ca’s Violator Kush! It took a clear lead in all categories save bud shape/structure (cures were even), and it’s trichome maturity was a thing of beauty to behold. Lovers of kush and kushy things can’t go wrong with the price-point of FarmHard’s violator, especially considering the exceptional quality. If I had to rate the two, WCC would come in somewhere around AA, and FarmHard would be at least a step above at AAA, to AAA+!
Thanks for reading, friends!

Rockstar: Indica-Dominant Hybrid
https://i.imgur.com/c0wo8Ui.jpg
I must confess some bias here, I LOVE the Rockstar strain, I find it ultimately relaxing, and I would snort it even if it were A-. This particular Rockstar, to my nose, has a pleasant mild-flowery overtone to it when busted up in the grinder. The vapour is again, super smooth with a mild-floral taste, and it just pours out of the vape in big billows; clouds ya’ll! The anti-anxiety and relaxing effects of the Rockstar strain hit fairly quickly, and I felt a nice warm calm come over me. Rockstar is not the most potent or intense stone, it isn’t meant to be, but it is great at what it is meant for--anxiety and depression. Buds are slightly narrow and elongated, but dense, tacky, and fresh as all get out. Duration on bowls were approx. 7-8 sessioning in Solo II, and the effects were long lasting.
My Rating: 3.8/5
Texada Timewarp: Sativa-Dominant Hybrid
https://i.imgur.com/XfrKUoo.jpg
I love looking at this bud, it is so classically cannabisy looking, with dark and light greens playing off one another throughout. Buds are elongated and a fair size, larger than popcorn, and very dense. Definitely an energetic stone--I could feel the effects off of the second exhale and felt renewed energy almost instantly, kind of like a shot of espresso. Daytime use would be no problem with this strain, and I daresay it might even be beneficial for some looking for that extra spring in their step. Might make for a great ’attitude adjustment’ on those cranky ass days. I confess to not have the best sense of smell around, but I got a bit of a spicy note in the aroma when busted up, and the vape taste followed suit. The vapour was extremely smooth, I don’t think I even hiccuped, even at 220C! Duration was good, probably 7 mins sessioning in the Solo II per 0.2g bowl. Effects here again were long lasting. I’m not sure if it is something about the organic process they employ, but FarmHard’s cannabis has a longer duration of effects than a lot of weed I have ingested lately, and I am thoroughly impressed! I got a lot out of this strain, it is a killer sativa and the effects are exactly what I’d be after for an afternoon of creativity.

Violator Kush: Indica
https://i.imgur.com/rKb5cz9.jpg
Violator is one of those strains for which my brain is unable to conjure an appropriate proxy for what, exactly, it smells like... For now I’ll go with, odd. This organic violator is a bit of an exception as the smell is fairly muted, but it is there, if you grind it up and shove your nose in it. The buds of FarmHard’s violator are smallish, elongated, very dense and quite tacky. I am not a fan of the taste of the violator strain, I find it tastes quite musty, and it takes a few good puffs on the vape before it dissipates. The vapour is extremely dense and fairly smooth (wee bit harsher than the other strains) despite my dislike for the taste. The strong indica effects come on fast, just a couple exhales and I was melting into my chair amidst a strong body buzz that turned my arms into limp noodles. FarmHard’s violator boasts potent, therapeutic effects, which lasted long after the bowl was extinguished, and was an excellent choice with which to end the night. Indica lovers can’t go wrong with either kush strain from FarmHard, but the violator may be slightly more potent. Vape duration was like the Terry Fox run with this one, kept on going!

High Potency Organic Cannabis Oil (Ethyl Extraction):
https://i.imgur.com/tydHKAZ.jpg
Not a huge fan of the taste, and the aftertaste lingers a long time, but the effects are dramatic. This is highly potent oil, a dab the size of a grain of rice knocked me out for 8 hours solid, and I’m a 220lb guy. I will be using this regularly for sleep, it’s a powerhouse! $20 a gram is a very solid price for this oil.
My Rating: 5/5... (I don’t expect it to taste good)
My Thoughts In General:
Having come to the completion of this review, and having sampled all of FarmHard’s products, I am genuinely thrilled that I made the choice to try organic cannabis (I am already ordering more). My lungs felt clearer and less congested after vaping organic cannabis, and I am certain there must be health benefits. Unlike organic food, FarmHard’s cannabis is actually priced below a lot of its competition in the non-organic space, and in this way, I think FarmHard is an absolute no-brainer. I would easily rate all of FarmHard’s cannabis as AAA (+ or -). Give organic cannabis a try, your lungs and body will thank you!
Brief Postscript:
I was told by the proprieters of FarmHard that they are setting up to press organic rosin, and it should be available within a few weeks! ! :D :D
As always, friends, thanks for reading and watch for more MirkaLane reviews in the near future! :D

The fine folks at FarmHard prefer to cultivate a relationship with e...ach customer they acquire, and as such, FarmHard does not use the typical web-based signup and order platform that is common amongst most MOMs. As their minimalistic website states, FarmHard prefers that you email them directly to make an order. Personally, I am a fan of this ethic. I always email MOMs before placing an order because it is nice to know who you are dealing with, and it is refreshing to be regarded as more than simply an order number.
Ordering & Pricing:
Since I did not place a legitimate order, I cannot comment on ordering specifically. Although, if it goes as smoothly as my interactions with FarmHard by email, then ordering will be a cinch.
At the quality I am estimating with this cannabis (AAA + or -), I’d say these prices are very good! With Black Friday sales on right now, you can get $100ozs, and $380QPs, with free kief samples! That is nothing to scoff at, people!
Communication:
Communication is just fantastic. I interacted with one of the proprietors and she is not only a sweet, personable human, but she is a complete wealth of knowledge. I picked her brain with a number of queries pertaining to their organic process, and she was quick, detailed and friendly in her responses. Overall, I feel better treated already with FarmHard than I have with a number of MOMs in the past--who have simply taken my order, sent me an automatically-generated ’order completion’ email, then wrote me off.
Packaging:
As with most procedures, FarmHard prefers to do things slightly differently than other MOMs. Instead of a heap of mylar bags (bound for the trash), FarmHard packages their cannabis in standard ziplock bags, which helps to reduce all the waste packaging that is typical with MOMs nowadays. The .5 they lost off of my overall rating comes simply as a lack of moisture control. Granted, mine were samples, so they may not have felt the need to add moisture control for samples, and they may do it for larger orders (don’t know), but the lack of any moisture control would be a concern for somebody ordering a package cross-country during the postal strike. Other than that one minor gripe, the packaging is on point with the eco-friendly agenda.

General Notes:
Let’s talk organic turkey! FarmHard’s largest selling point is that they are wholely organic cannabis proprietors (not only cannabis, they also grow garlic and other things, but I am not reviewing bad breath here), and that they do not use non-natural pesticides, grow chemicals or nutrients. As stated in my review of West Coast Cannabis, many consumers may not realize, but the chemicals and nutrients that many growers choose to use on their cannabis, are specifically and intentionally designed to artificially enhance the aroma and taste of the bud. They will be excessively sugary, resulting in a much higher sweetness ratio than is naturally occurring in marijuana. While some people may find these artificial enhancements appealing, one should consider why they are being used in the first place, because they are certainly not needed in order to grow high quality cannabis. I have to question the sweetening of things to make them more appealing; makes me think of menthol cigarettes.
To put this in perspective, I look at these ultra sweet smelling strains (that put off a scent of candy and icecream), like the McDonald’s of cannabis, where the flavours have been so artificially enhanced that they don’t taste like weed anymore. On the flip-side of the coin, you have FarmHard’s cannabis, which would be more like the hipster, organic, vegan joint, where everybody bags on GMO weed.
In terms of literal process, FarmHard utilizes an indoor greenhouse grow space, and sprays the plants with an organic raw (not roasted) sesame oil spray, that is made in house. The plants themselves are grown in complex living soil system that is cultivated using a number of organic grow foods, elements/minerals, and faunal turbative processes; e.g. fossilized carbon complex, fossilized phosphate, diamotacious earth, dolomite lime, manure tea, worm castings and compost.
The result is high potency, high quality cannabis that smells like, well, WEED! Marijuana should have a naturally organic, plant-like smell, not quite the ’hay or grass’ that people sometimes describe, but certainly organic smelling. There are discernible ’notes’ (terpenes) of other aromas and flavours to it--the mango kush certainly smells of mango--but they all share that plant-like aroma and taste that cannabis should exhibit when it hasn’t been pumped full of sugars and artificiality.
The trim job on each strain was absolutely immaculate! Lovers of big bulbous buds might not be huge fans of FarmHard’s unorthodox, ’elognated’ bud structure, but don’t let the shape fool you. Lastly, the freshness and cure of each strain was absolutely spot on--no dryness nor excess moisture, perfect!
AK-47: Sativa-Dominant Hybrid
https://i.imgur.com/0e4mATW.jpg
I had such a laugh at myself smoking this strain. I did a wake and bake with it, thinking, okay nice, should be a good clear headed stone to start the day! WRONGO! I found myself daydreaming of far away lands instead of getting life done. Caught me off guard! As mentioned above, the smell of all of FarmHard’s cannabis products share a similar note, and that is of organic plant matter. Overall, I find this smell appealing, though I believe it is the smell that many growers are trying to mask, so I may be a rare case--I can’t help but feel that it is healthier and safer for human consumption. The buds were a good size, larger than popcorn and had a great amount of trichomey happiness sprinkled all over. As with all the FarmHard strains, the bud density was quite high. Each bud had a great tackiness and freshness--just an excellent cure. The high is very euphoric and daydreamy, not overly sedative, but certainly will have you not performing at your highest capacity. I found it great for wake and bake, but maybe on a day when I had less to do. The vapour was very smooth (a trait I found common to all of FarmHard’s organic cannabis), and it lasted a good 7-8 mins sessioning in the Solo II. The effects were extremely long lasting, I was high for well over an hour from 0.2g, and that’s unusual for me.
My Rating: 4/5
Blueberry: Indica
https://i.imgur.com/g5laJH7.jpg
A slightly mild feeling indica, I actually found the effects of the Blueberry very focused and cerebral, more like a sativa, and it gave me that sensation of wearing a headband at the front of my skull, fun! It is a bit of a creeper, as it took about 5-10 mins to feel the full effects. The smell of the blueberry is the same as other FarmHard products, sort of a mild-organic smell, but the blueberry notes are definitely there to be noticed once busted up. I’d say this is a fantastic daytime indica, no heavy body stone that makes you trip over the dog. Not a duration champ in the vape, only a single 5 min session in the Solo II, but the high was surprisingly long lasting for how short the bowl lasted. Like the AK-47, I found myself feeling the effects for probably close to an hour off of 0.2g. The buds themselves were coated in milky trichomes, were popcorn or slightly larger in size, and were high density. Overall, really enjoyed the blueberry!
My Rating: 3.8/5
OG Mango Kush: Indica-Dominant Hybrid
https://i.imgur.com/zyTM97Q.jpg
Here’s where the natural terpenes really come out with FarmHard’s bud! Even without busting you can smell the mango coming off of this bud straight away, and it only strengthens when broken up. I liked the flavour of this strain best of the six that I tried from FarmHard, but I half expected that by the name alone--not that I am partial to mango, but it is a nice flavour. Buds are frosty and extremely dense, with that same characteristic elongated bud structure. Vapour was quite dense and extremely smooth, even at the highest temperatures. The effects of the OG Mango are potent to say the least; strong body buzz, great pain-killer, heavy/drowsy stone. This bud is great for nighttime use and sleep, chillin’, watching movies, etc. Duration in the Solo II was quite long, pushing 10 mins. Effects are long lasting and very therapeutic.
My Rating: 4/5
Kief Extract:
https://i.imgur.com/mTGDGDR.jpg
Here’s your rocketship, buds! A sprinkle of this blonde kief on your bowls or in joints will have you wandering blind alleys, asking other people who you are. For those who make their own oil, this would make a great topping for homemade moon-rocks. It’s not the most finely sifted kief I have ever had, you can see tiny bits of plant material in the photos, but it is absolutely high potency kief and would probably make excellent homemade hash. I put a bunch of it in a bowl with some ash, and proceeded to become paralyzed from the intense stone (mighta overdid it a bit ;)) . Good value, especially if you are able to work out a deal for a whack of it (I might have to).
My Rating: 4/5

Notes:
Let’s talk about what you get when you decide to order FarmHard organic cannabis. You get strains that all have a similar organic smell that may not be for everyone, however, each strain has it own natural terpenes, aromas, and flavours that come out very nicely when busted and vaped. You get buds that have a slightly unorthodox, ’elongated’ bud structure, however, those buds are incredibly dense, immaculately trimmed, and packed with a potency that seems, to me, longer lasting than many other non-organic strains I have tried of late. You get some of the smoothest vapour production from cannabis that this guy has ever experienced. You get treated like a human and not an order number. And last but certainly not least, I feel like you might just be making a healthier decision in choosing organic cannabis.
I would easily rate all of FarmHard’s strains as hovering right around AAA give or take a + or -. The main difference I see: craft trips and quads are tasty (if not overly tasty) rocketships, that propell you to space and come crashing to Earth relatively quickly. FarmHard’s organic cannabis strains are more like a commercial airliner, that take you to the upper atmosphere, and keep you there long enough to get to Australia (not literally, please don’t PM asking why you didn’t get high for 16 hours off of a single bowl). :D

Overall rating out of 10:
7.5
Sign Up & Website:
Signup was quick and painless typical MOMMY signup. The live support has that irritating ding to it, every-time you vis...it the website and it follows you around, annoying you. The website is fast and well-polished, it is easy to navigate, displays the products well and is generally aesthetically appealing.
Ordering & Pricing:
Ordering got a little convoluted. I had been told that WCC offered free-shipping on Friday, so that’s when I made my order. Contacted them via their LiveChat feature around 5 or 6pm PST, and I was warned that the free-ship would be ending right away, which I was slightly confused by given the time in my timezone, and given that they are WEST COAST Cannabis. However, they offered to honour it anyway, which I was quite pleased to hear.
I ordered their half oz, four strains mixed option, which at the time was priced at $90, minus the 20% new customer coupon, so all in I got the whole thing shipped to me for around $73! I am very happy with that price, shipping in.
Communication:
Communication was fairly good by LiveChat, folks were helpful and recommended strains, though I wish they had recommended all of the higher end potency strains as I requested; I found a couple of their recommendations falling short of my expectations.
Packaging:
Standard opaque mailer; inside was a large mylar bag, inside of that were four smaller mylar bags containing the eighths. No discernible smell. No boveda packs, so given the ten days it floated around in striking cities, the weed dried out pretty good. I’d recommend sending out boveda packs with eighths, at least until the strike ends.
Products / Photos:
https://i.imgur.com/hPuCVBK.jpg
https://i.imgur.com/1lUE66S.jpg
General Notes:
All the buds in each eighth were slightly larger than popcorn, or slightly smaller, no big buds save for the violator, which had a nice 2.5g nug. The trim was very nice overall, and each strain definitely had potency, save for the Lemon Drop, which I found a little on the weak side (for me, preference is everything). Each eighth was over in weight, even after a lengthy shipping delay/drying, and that’s just fantastic in my eyes. The government and LP’s can’t even seem to pull that off. Nicely done, WCC! :)
Great White Shark:
This was by far my favourite of the four strains I purchased from WCC. It has a classic sour gassy nose to it and the trichomey buds are nice and tacky, this was also the freshest of the four after a 10-day shipping delay. Buds were popcorn sized and under, pretty underwhelming to look at. Really smooth vapour with a mild flowery flavour, the high hits really fast-couple exhales for me. The effects are strong, it has the classic elements of a pure sativa buzz: heady and energetic, just more of it. I might not use this sativa before a mid-afternoon business meeting, but I would definitely use it before going snowboarding, if I knew how. Small bowls of the GWS seem to go forever and ever in the vapourizer, I got about 12 mins of sessioning in the Solo II off of 0.2g! My Rating: 4/5
Lemon Drop:
This strain is probably my least favourite of the four. It has a very strong sweet cirtusy smell to it, almost too strong. Many people might not realize, but the grow chemicals and nutrients that some growers choose to use are often designed to intentionally, and artificially, ’enhance’ the smell and taste of their final product (see more on this in my upcoming review of FarmHard’s organic cannabis, as they do NOT use these chemicals), and the Lemon Drop strain definitely has the artificial smell appeal that I find slightly off-putting at this stage of the game. The taste is the same-it just seems artificial and it has a chemical aftertaste that lingers in the mouth, which I absolutely detested.
That said, the buds are slightly larger than popcorn-sized, with medium density and excellent trimming. There is a fair sprinkling of trichomey goodness to the buds, and they all LOOK quite nice. The effects were underwhelming for me, hardly batted an eye. I guess I’d have to say it’s a mild hybrid buzz; it vaped smooth (though I hated the taste), but was not a duration champ like the GWS-probably 6 mins sessioning to a 0.2g bowl here. Admittedly, I have a high tolerance-I use a lot of concentrates-so I try to take that into account, but I’d have to smoke this whole eighth in one joint to really enjoy myself here. For people with a thing for super-sweet, artificial tasting weed, that only enjoy a mild buzz; this might be for you. I won’t be ordering it again. My Rating: 2.2/5

Gorilla Glue #4:
Who doesn’t love to get GLUED? If there’s anybody out there who hasn’t tried GG#4 yet, get on it, cuz! I probably don’t have to describe the effects of this strain as they are pretty much contained in it’s name, but suffice it to say, you should plan on having as little to do as possible, with food. This particular batch of GG#4 isn’t the strongest I have had, but it still carries the same awesome heavy body stone. I found these buds quite peppery to the nose, and the vape taste was similar-also slightly harsh at higher temps. Again, popcorn or so, sized buds; nothing dynamic for the eyes, but they are very well trimmed with good density. I won’t spend a year on this one, as this strain is pretty well known to people, but I will say that it is good quality GG#4 for the price ($160oz currently). It isn’t the best grow of it available, but if you want to get glued for less than top-tier pricing, then this is a pretty safe bet. My Rating: 3.5/5
Violator:
Not only a bad comic book movie, violator is another strain that is probably pretty well known to people. I was happy to see a nice big nug in this bag, weighing in at 2.5g. Bit on the dry side due to the shipping delay, but not deal breaker. Trim was good and the nugs are medium density. The smell was quite honestly, strange. I have had violator before, but I do not remember it smelling like deck stain, but that is the smell I am getting from this bud. Its really strange and if anyone with grow experience has any idea where this is coming from, feel free to chime in. Needless to say it was very off-putting. I found the first few puffs in the vape had a strange taste that mirrored the smell, but it does dissipate after a few puffs. Despite the odd but brief taste, the vapour was nice and smooth even at high temps, and 0.2g bowls got about 7-8 mins sessioning in the Solo II. The high was a nice indica body buzz that I could feel way down in my feet, very relaxing without being a total couch lock. I found this violator quite potent, and I surmise it would be good for pain and sleep. Right now this bud is priced at $99oz on the website (Black Friday Sales), and if you can get over the smell, and initial taste, that is a great price for this level of potency! My Rating: 3.8/5
Incentive for Customers:
20% off Flower, 10% off edibles, +50 bonus points with first order. $150 free-ship, and they HAD a free-ship Friday option, but I’d ask if I were you, it was confusing as to the times that it is available. There is also an affiliate program that pays out quite well if you can manage to get your friends to make a successful transaction.
Incentive for Review:
None. I had requested a sample and had been told that one would be provided, but after my package shipped, I received an email informing me that they had ’forgotten’ to include the sample. Not a huge deal to me, I don’t review exclusively for free product, but it would have been nice to try something out of their higher end strains. I was told I’d receive the sample with my next order, if I make one.
Notes:
At the time I ordered, WCC had a great deal on a mixed half oz; I see they have since raised the price of that package to $110, I suspect because they were losing money on it (had one fella tell me he thought they were going to lose money on my order; not the most professional admission). The weed is good, not great, tends to be popcorn sized and a bit on the dry side with no moisture control. Overall, I feel like there are some good deals to be had with WCC, but for me it was hit and miss. I felt like the whole ’forgetting’ thing was a sketchy admission; I wouldn’t want them forgetting anything I had paid for, that’s for sure, but I can’t fault people for forgetting to send free product, and the price was already very good with free-shipping. It would be ignorant to complain.
Thanks for reading, as always, and watch out for more new MirkaLane reviews in the coming days!

Communication:
Communication was friendly and rapid. I was approached by this MOM here on the forum and further communication was all by email.
Packaging:
I really, REALLY, disliked the document mailer they used to send this sample pack in. It was damn near completely see through and I am half surprised it even showed up. Not happy that my mailman probably has a great idea what I am receiving in my mailbox (see photo). Inside that shitty mailer was a vacuum sealed bag, within which each gram was further packaged into its own sample bag. There was no discernible smell but that hardly matters when you can practically SEE what it is in good light.

General Product Notes:
On the whole, these are some of the best cured, freshest samples I have received from any MOM; the cure is dead on, there is still plenty of individualistic aroma, they aren’t completely smashed to hell, and each strain ran the gamut from reasonably dense to igneous rock. Very nice buds, and each sample was over-weighed by at least 0.1g, to as much as 0.3g, for a grand total of 0.9g extra flower (not bad for samples!).

Zeus OG: Hybrid
Nice hybrid buzz, probably more toward sativa in effects, my head felt very balloon-like; quite a floaty cerebral high. The smell was a fairly strong, sweet-skunk, which I found very appealing (found myself sniffing this one a lot). The vape flavour was a mild, earthy taste and the vapour wasn’t harsh at all. This bud had nice milky trichomes and a good deal of pistils (red hairs). The bud was extremely dense but broke up nicely. I could see myself smoking this basically anytime during the day. Its just enough that you get a bit of extra spring in your step, but not so much you forget your wallet at your uncle Ron’s house. 0.2g vape bowl in Solo II had me feeling the effects pretty hard for a good 20-30 mins. Brainstorm Haze: Sativa
I don’t know what it is. but I can’t shake the feeling that haze strains smell like piss. Maybe you’ll love it, I do not. It’s always a combination of a homeless man’s body odour and Garfield’s cheesy, lasagna piss. What I DO love, however, are the effects that haze strains are known for, and this strain is no different. This bud looked almost like ragweed at first glance, then I got the camera on it. Turns out it has an amazing bud structure; coated in pistils, and loaded with earthy tones and colours! While quite dense, this one breaks up nice also. The vapour taste was really nice, bit herby I’d say, and the vapour itself was not harsh. Anyone who loves a haze stone will not be disappointed here, in fact, it might be my new favourite haze strain. The effects are a bit creeper for a sativa but they are strong and long lasting. Of the five samples I received, this might be one of two that I reorder... Really dig it. The 3 star review on their website for this strain is out to lunch. Website Price: $197oz

Haze Extreme: Sativa Dominant
This weed stinks. I mean, all weed stinks, but wow. Smells like bread and butter pickles brined in cougar piss. Smells like bigfoot’s dick (Anchorman). Anyways, I’ll be honest, I vaped this a little closely together with the brainstorm haze, so the effects may have mixed slightly. Fortunately they are both fantastic haze strains and the transition was smooth as glass. Again, dense, milky trichomey bud that breaks up really nice; fantastic cure. Vapes smooth and hits a little quicker than the brainstorm, though I found I just liked the effects of the brainstorm slightly more. Classic haze stone, gorgeous buds, this stuff will rock your daytime casbah. Good high energy buzz for getting all the things done. Website Price: $185oz

Pink Rockstar: Indica Dominant Hybrid
I’ll confess some bias here, I LOVE both rockstar and pink kush, so when I first heard tell of this cross, I had to change my shorts. This stuff relaxes you right off the first exhale; fears of sharks and dragons, bill collectors and ex-wives simply float out the window, and the couch becomes my castle. Buds were popcorn sized and extremely dense, and because of that, I found it broke up a bit dense--stayed small, maybe not great for joints (I only vape). The smell of this sample was slightly muted but there was a distinct citrus note to it. Very frosty nugs with nice milky trichomes. Vapour on this strain is a bit harsher than the previous three, but I also find it slightly more potent, so that may be why. Dense vapour with a bit of a sour note. Overall, really enjoyed this strain and it is the other strain I may re-order. Website Price: $185oz

Gelato: Hybrid
Ahh, the famed ’Larry Bird’... This is my first experience with this very hyped strain and I have to say, once again, the hype tips the scale. While this is a VERY GOOD strain, I don’t know if I can personally justify some of the prices per OZ that I have seen this strain at. At the time of writing this review, buyweedonlineshop.ca was out of stock of the Gelato, so I could not find a price, but I have a feeling it is priced at the higher end of their range. While this bud is extremely milky and frosty, it is too dense to have much appeal, it is much more appealing when broken up. Gelato smells like chocolate or icecream, or GELATO, to me, its rather unbelievable. I didn’t think I’d ever smell a bud where I didn’t get the scent of weed, safe to say, this doesn’t smell like your mother’s weed (unless your mom buys from this MOM). Effects are pretty strong; they come on quick and I felt quite ripped. It wasn’t as long lasting as I would have expected for a strain with so much hype, but the strength of the effects more than made up for the brevity. Overall, one of the better strains I have had in the past months, but I doubt I would pay an exorbitant price above $200 an ounce.

Incentive for Customers:
The website features a ’Specials’ section where ounces can be found as low as $100 (1 strain only at the time of this review). They offer free shipping at $150 and above.
Incentive for Review:
I was provided a five-gram sample pack and asked if I would write an honest, unbiased review of their products and services, to which I agreed, and upon completion of this review, all services have been rendered and will cease. I have no on-going agreement with this MOM.
Notes:
There is a lot of noise on this forum about shill reviewing and whether or not accepting a sample pack in exchange for a review constitutes a bias. I have expressed my opinion on this matter elsewhere on this forum and will not tackle it here. Suffice it to say, this review is 100% honest, and at no point have I tried to conceal information or muddy the waters. Take this review with a grain of salt, as I am not a professional, but I have decided to step up the ’professionalism’ in an effort to preserve transparency. I invite any MOM who does sample exchanges and wishes to associate their brand with mature, honest reviews to contact me.

DISCLAIMER:
I received these products as a sample pack that was offered for an unbiased review of this MOM’s services and products. I have zero other arrangements or affiliations with this company. Though I list them, I don’t comment on prices whe...n I haven’t personally made a purchase (save the comments on Gelato pricing in general), because in the end, something is worth what someone will pay for it, so my feelings on the subject are irrelevant.

Ordering & Pricing:
Ordering: Again, ordering was taken care of by the MOM.
Pricing: This MOM offers pricing in the typical ranges; Budget. AA. AAA. AAAA.. Anywhere from $100 to $236 an ounce at the time I researched this review.

Website Price: $197oz..

House Shatter was $30/g. $22.50 Shipping from Van to Interior is a bit much though, ne...ed to bring that down.
Communication:
Really impressive communication. They were online to answer questions on the website chat everytime I visited the site. Really great service and friendly people.
Packaging:
Was inconspicuous and odourless. Order was packed in a small box which I appreciated very much as the shatter does’t get smashed into tiny shards of my broken heart by the cruel postal man. Inside said box were vacuum sealed items; the weed in a further pill bottle, with a boveda pack for freshness.... which it was, very fresh indeed.

Nuken Shatter 1g: This was the most brittle of the 3 and is very glass-like at room temp. Its quite terpy upon dabbing and I got that nice nuken flavour profile overwhelming my tastebuds... The effects creeped quite a bit and were very spacey and I found myself daydreaming for quite a time. Strong but mellow, the duration is sort of a mid level shatter I’d say, 20 mins to a dab and I feel like its time for another. Its very smooth to dab and there is absolutely no crackling or popping (as it should be). Typically, I like to make little blade-sized balls with my shatter and this stuff is just way too brittle for that, but at the same time, it doesnt turn to dust, more like dabbable shards, so overall eary to work with and smoke, And that colour!! Beauty mate.
Death Star Shatter 1g:
This stuff hit quicker than the nuken but had that same strong terpy profile (of its own, not of nuken, duh). The effects were really fun, I got a body buzz that I could feel all the way down in my feet, slightly electric. Again, about a mid level buzz for shatter, good strong 20 min high, but no blacking out or any sillyness like that. The consistency was much more pull/snap than the nuken and I found it easier to work with. Dabs cleans, no snap, crackle, pops, no residue... Good Stuff
Blueberry Shatter 0.5 Sample:
The Blueberry hit me nice and hard right behind the eyes; that classic Cheech and Chong stone, man! Like the other two, the blueberry has a fine terp profile and really nice flavour. I really dig this stuff; great colour, pull/snap consistency, clean burn and no residue. Fantastical.
Overall Shatter Experience: All three house shatter strains remained perfectly stable in shipping (though only Van to Interior), and they seem like they would do well even in the presence of some warmth. The colours, consistency’s, terp profiles, and strengths are all above par for house shatter... I know, I inhale a lot of this stuff...
Free 3.5g AA Nuken:
Came in the standard pill bottle with a little guy boveda pack.. Bud was nice and fresh and had that dank nuken stink. Flavour was the same in a vape; really tasty. The high was classic nuken; a little on the weaker side for nuken but it was free and only AA... However, for AA, it’s very good, and I’d love to see their quads if these are their dubs.

Sign Up: Simple and quick online signup, upload ID at checkout... Whole process took minutes; couldn’t be easier.
Ordering & Pricing: Ordering was simple and the website is very clear and easy to navigate. I ordered a ...half oz Extreme OG and a half OZ Mango Kush, both of which were on sale. For the quality of bud I received, I am very pleased with the pricepoint. Shipping took 2 days from Vancouver to interior BC.
Communication: I sent one query to EC by email and received a reply a few hours later, so communication is quite good.
Packaging: Each half oz came seperate in a sealed vaccum style, air tight bag. The bags were enclosed in a small cardboard box, which I highly appreciate, it is much better to have a box than a squishable, obvious feeling package. Good clean and discreet packaging.
Products / Photos:

Exteme OG: Bit of a grassy nose, perfect humidity level, smokes clean, tastes good. Buds range from popcorn up to 3.5g or so. Clean high. 3.8of5
Mango Kush: Gorgeous citrusy nose with a fantastic vape taste. Nice relaxing buzz... A good kind of mellow.. Mostly popcorn sized buds. Nice clean ash. 3.8of5.
These strains aren’t the strongest, but they are well grown, groomed, clean and meet every potency standard I had at that price. Overall very satisfied.
While I received no freebies as a new customer, each of the ounces was slightly over in weight.. Resulting in a total bonus of 1.7g. I consider that good business.. Much better than being under.
Incentive for Customers: Clearance Sale.
Incentive for Review: None that I know of, but feel free to throw me a bone, EC! ;)
Notes: I can’t see anybody being disappointed buying from Emerald Castle.. I have yet to try their more exotic strains, but judging by this order, I am fairly certain that most of their products either meet or exceed most people’s standards.
