Nose is like a sweet Bubba/Pink. Sweet, spicy floral gas, with hints of coffee. Moderately loud.

Taste translates pretty we...ll. Smooth even burn, grey ash, slight grease ring.

Solid indica potency. A bit of forehead pressure, nice tingly body buzz. Not really couchlock-y but definitely not motivating.

Definitely not the best HGA budget ounce I've had, but still very solid for a $90 zip. Comparable to the King Bubba x Bluefin Tuna they had a couple months back.

Yeah that's right. I'm doing an HGA review for free. Have I lost my fucking mind you may ask? Probably. But I'm bored, I kind of miss just reviewing stuff for the sake of it, and this is the only other thing I've ordered lately lol.

Also, something most people don't t...ouch on when doing these HGA reviews: their customer service. I had a fairly minor issue with a recent order so I reached out on discord, and within five minutes they'd gone above and beyond to make it right. I've dealt with so many MOMs lately who have shit CS, and HGA is the polar opposite. It's like 5-star hotel customer service. Anyway...

My bag was mostly big chonky, purple buds with a few smalls mixed in. A little bit crispy outside but soft and spongy inside, so no big deal there. Solid bag appeal, mostly for the sweet colours.

Nose is loud ass gassy candy, with some creamy cookie undertones. I'm a sucker for this kind of terp profile so this hits me right in the feels.

Taste translates not perfectly but damn well. It's not lip-smacking, but every puff is tasty, down to the roach. Mostly the gassy candy comes through, but every do often I get hints of cookie. Clean burn with a pale grey ash, grease ring on most joints.

High is I guess what you would call mild, but I find it super upbeat and energetic, which I wasn't really expected. I've been using this as early day weed, cause I find myself actually motivated to get stuff done. Definitely not a knockout weed, but a great functional/practical weed.

Overall for $135 a zip I'm more than happy. I think the $99 Runtz last month was probably a better deal for similar terps, but I'd still buy this all day at $135.

Pictures don't quite do this one justice, but it's pretty frosty, with some beautiful purple calyxes/bracts when busted up. Sticky, lots of trich heads. Fresh and spongy. Clearly well handled.

Nose is tons of sweet fruit; basically sm...ells likes cherry/blueberry pie. Tiny bit under cured (there's a bit of underlying hay/grass) but a week in the jar seems to have solved that. Once it's busted the terps are too loud to notice anyway. My grinder smells like berries/cherries for hours after grinding this stuff up.

Sweet, fruity berry terps with every puff in a joint. Reminds me of the Burt Reynolds I got from HSP last year. Pale, almost white ash, moderately greasy burn. Really nice smoke overall.

Not super potent, but a good afternoon/early evening weed for me.

Rated AAAA-, which I'd say is pretty fair. $164 without discounts.

Pretty great bag appeal on this stuff. Chonky, sticky, super dense buds just coated in trichomes. It looks like Wizard Fritter or something.

Aroma is really hard to describe. Dank, funky, fruity, kind of doughy. I like it, but it's kind of diff...erent, and again reminds me a bit of one of those Wizard crosses.

Funky, dank, kushy taste comes through in a joint. Most joints have a medium grease ring; pale grey ash with the odd bit of peppering. Great burn overall.

Solid mid-evening buzz. A bit too heavy for serious/intense gaming (at least at my age), but good for Netflix binges.

Can't complain about this at all, given that it's a quad for $160, but I'd say there are some better value grabs on their site. Still more than happy with this (with discounts it ran me like $140 I think).

Nose is pretty much just classic pink. Gassy, floral, earthy terps. Nothing ...exotic, but it's pretty loud.

Taste comes through decently in a joint. Burn is pale grey ash, moderately greasy (most joints have a better grease ring than the one pictured).

Solid, relaxing body high. Not a knockout weed but close to.

This was $79 an ounce so great value for the price, but I'd say the Platinum Pink is worth the extra $10. They're very similar, but the Platinum is a bit better in every way.

This stuff is basically exactly as described on the site, so props for that. Small buds, kind of leafy, but sticky and gassy. It came out of the bag in big sticky blocks, and the terps are surprisingly loud (wasn't expecting much for a $60 zip). It's... pretty much just straight gas with a bit of tuna funk.

Burn is smooth and even, with a decent grease ring that starts on the first puff. (I used the flash for the burn pics cause you can't really see the grease ring without it, so the ash is actually a bit darker than the pictures, but it's nice and fluffy.) Terps come through nicely, though it is a bit harsh on the throat, especially if you smoke a few joints in a row.

It's not crazy potent but it's sedative/relaxing enough to be a nighttime/bedtime smoke, especially if you've been smoking other shit all day lol.

With a coupon this ran me $45 so I'm a pretty happy camper. 10/10 for value, soft 7/10 for overall quality.

Nose is medicinal grape. Like grape Flintstones chewables mixed with grape cough syrup. Little bit of gas and menthol.

Ta...ste comes through pretty well in a joint. Grapes and kush.

Burn is decent, mostly salt and pepper though some joints burn pale grey.

Medium strength high for me. Doesn't knock me on my ass but still a late afternoon/evening weed.

Overall for $89 I'm pretty happy. Not sure I'd buy it again but I have no complaints for the price.

Okay this is definitely going to be my longest review ever so apologies in advance.

Preamble: I got an ounce of the original Baby Yoda from Ghost Drops in May 2021. When Ghost Drops went legal I decided ...to keep a jar - for sentimental purposes basically. I passed on the AC fiasco batch, but when I heard that the LSO batch was supposed to be “the best ever” (eye roll), I decided I'd do a side-by-side with the original.

(For the record I've read aaaaaaaall the Headwater arguments in this sub since the AC fiasco lol. There is a certain part of me that is with the “fuck Headwater” camp. But I'm a sucker for great terps and that first batch was terpy as hell, so I thought fuck it, second chances and all that shit.)

Anyway, enough preamble.

Appearance

I would say Old Yoda is the frostier of the two. It's also got those pretty purple shades hiding under all that frost, though that's just window dressing. (It's a little yellow now, but remarkably still fresh and spongy when I cracked the seal.)

New Yoda is more vibrant green, slightly less frosty, but still extremely caked. The buds are also bigger, and a bit more dense. I'll call this a tie.

Aroma

OY: Terps are loud and dank as fuck. Earthy pine, gas, lemon, mint and spice, and something that's sort of like fresh mushrooms. So nice and so loud.

NY: loud af like the original. Smells kiiinda different than the original, but if I try to search out a particular aroma, all the same ones are there. It's all the same terpenes, but at slightly different levels.

I can't really pick a favourite here.

Smoke

OY: Taste translates perfectly in a joint. I pick up something different on every toke (overall it seems to have gotten a little spicier with age). There's a really nice OGKB kind of taste on the exhale that lingers forever. Burn is about as white as it gets, with a solid grease ring that starts forming after the first puff. It's also one of those smokes where you barely touch the end of the joint with a lighter and there's instantly a perfect, even cherry going. Such a nice burn, with thick white clouds of smoke that somehow go down smooth as fuck. Immaculate.

NY: Pretty much the greasiest smoke I've ever had. Every puff is tasty as hell. Light, fluffy ash. The smoke isn't quite as rich as the original, but that's splitting the finest of hairs. Tough to pick a winner here too.

High

I'm too high to compare the two lol. I just smoked like three grams of this shit in the last hour and I’m pretty fried. I wanna say the new one hits a bit harder, but that's probably just because it's the last one I smoked. Who cares, they both slap.

Overall

Fucked if I know. The original is a tiny bit frostier, and produces a thicker smoke. But the new one is greasier, and has bigger, denser buds. My “verdict” is that they're both excellently executed, and very similar in every way.

TL;DR: they're both stupidly good and I'm totally copping out on picking a winner.

Mostly smalls and popcorn, which was as advertised. Buds are caked though, and laden with purple hues. They're also legit sticky when busted up. Sticks to my fingers, my grinder, and comes out in a sticky clump.

Classic gassy ...pink nose. Floral, piney, earthy gas. I'm really surprised at how loud this is. Terp-wise this is one of the nicest pinks I've had in a while.

Heavy, relaxing, borderline narcotic high. My back is absolutely fucked so I smoke heavy indicas before bed to help my back muscles relax. Even then it takes 20 minutes of nestling in bed most nights to get my back unclenched. Two joints of this stuff and I just melted into my bed and slept like a baby.

This was $89 a zip before discounts, and I'm blown away by how good it is. HGA is killing it with these budget ounces lately. The terps on the $99 Runtz are more my style, and the buds are bigger, but this stuff is so well executed.

Seriously considering reupping on this. 8+ for overall quality, 10/10 value.
