A stout bud structure is decorated with a midnight blue void of saturation, turning black almost on some of the sugar leaves. There is a small presence of creamy orange hairs but ultimately the surface is dominated by a variation of forest greens. Texturally s...peaking, this flower carries a well-timed cure that has rendered a crisp exterior followed with a clingy, resinous, Velcro center. Crack-and-snap consistency that blows trichomes everywhere when the buds separate; allowing for you to really take notice of the terpene profile.
A nice, layered classic likeness is what you get here - reminding you of those days as a teenager getting a bag that just reeked more than the others your guy was giving you at the time. Led by a sharp, spicy gasoline / skunk, you’re able to pick up notes of pine, wet wood and earth. Lots of Beta-Caryophyllene is definitely the driver here and that’s why this strain plays such a pivotal role in winding down after a long day.
Full combustion in bowls or joints, complimented by a modest but present flavour representation brings about a quick onset of potent effects that immediately sits behind your eyes, making them quite heavy. As time goes on, the buzz will work itself into the rest of your body and surprisingly doesn’t seem to interfere much with cognitive functions or motor skills like some other indicas I’ve been using lately. Due to it’s more tame nature, while still surpassing the quad threshold, this is a great cultivar to introduce to a newer user who’s looking for more potent medication while still being able to please experienced users.

Beneath this unhealthy blanket of resin glands is a 50/50 split between pale lime green and a midnight blue stripped of most saturation; appearing black at times. Rich, mocha hairs work their way out of a dense and tacky bud texture that is crisp and uniform o...n the outside while still keeping that Velcro grip once exposed. Slow pull and snap.
A little effort is needed to help your grinder chew through this one but doing so brings about a robust expression of the lineage with sweet, dank and Kush-heavy terpenes being grandfathered in through the Purple Punch genetics. A slight musk hangs around the back here but the most notable aroma would be matrimony of artificial grapes and candied blueberries that dominates the palate and truly defines the “Punch” aspect of this flower. A mouthwatering concoction of flavour and gasoline that translate into the smoke with 100% efficiency.
This is another strain that leaves your lips tingling and your mouth reminiscent of all the flavours that were present. You ever pick up a clean bong after just one hit of zaza to notice that the smell has just permeated into everything, practically yelling at you? I could stand six feet away from my grinder and that wouldn’t make a difference here, these terps are so pronounced and would impress even the more stingy consumers.
Very little time goes by before the onset of effects takes place; simply commanding your mind to drop everything and smell the damn roses for once. Once the overwhelming rushes die down, your mind and body cruise into a complete vibe that just seems to melt everything away. At higher doses this becomes quite narcotic but if kept mindful, this is well suited for social use due to reduced inhibitions and its relaxed nature. Recommended for veterans only.

MAC1 Caps Cut - JerCanna.ca / JerCanna6 // July 2021

Having past experience with MAC1 before, I had a ballpark idea of what I was in for. However this WC Essentials curated experience was definitely one for the books and holds just a little edge ...on the other strains from my mixed OZ - not enough for any meaningful difference but I always try to keep it real here. WC has their process just dialed in and I’m finding it hard to see any area for improvement; with an impeccable cure and otherworldly flower density. Trichome coverage so plentiful that it’s illegal in 12 countries, three of which will catch you life in prison. Resin glands as far as the eye can see.
These beefy, dense and weighted colas are sticky to the touch; snapping apart once enough pressure is applied to expose a resin gold mine decorated with rare purple hues. An unusually pungent and aggressive sour citrus dominates the aroma with a sharp, salty diesel and spice finish that only seems to get more robust as you separate the flower, practically singing by the time it makes it through your grinder. What you’re left with is a final product that holds together so well it can be pressed back into shape if desired and burns with ease.
Very little scratchiness, a smoke just brimming with flavour, plus the quick onset of my favourite entourage of effects, helps to make this a true prize and treasure for those lucky enough to cross paths with her. A real driver here is the shoulder-dropping, jaw unclenching relaxation (not sedation) that comes with this buzz, allowing for an improved imagination without the brain fog or constant spacing out. This is your daily driver, your A clean, focused and reliable upgrade to the creative or social process that can be enjoyed at any time of day, preferably for experienced users due to its heavy-handed nature.

Be it your morning cup of coffee, or your 10mg of melatonin before bed - we are all finding ways to cope with life and this Mike Tyson has really found a special place here. on two fronts:
1 - as an anti naus...eant. After getting sick last week and spending the better part of my Wednesday evening churning my guts out into a river, it was this bud that delivered a fast and potent relief due to its relaxing and sedating nature.
2 - as a sleep aid. Heavy aromas of sweet pine, petrol and spices helped me to prepare myself for a complete knockout; and I was not surprised at all. Working mornings on the weekend I am up for 4:30am to catch the bus, which requires me to be asleep early. Thankfully, having Mike Tyson in the stash was a mainline straight to my bed sheets if I smoked it early enough, as the comedown leaves you with little choice but to give into the sweet embrace of deep hibernation.
These chunky, irregular shaped buds are aggressively adhesive and oily; in part due to the healthy coating of intact outer resin glands that glimmer on the surface. This is a certified grinder-buster as inside the flower the resin glands only get more concentrated, and will likely have you picking the teeth and/or cleaning micro hash chunks that have accumulated between the moving parts (these make for great bowl-toppers. It’s the gift that keeps giving!)
Almost violent levels of terpenes are present here, with an overwhelming focus on the candied pine notes and spice / gas compliments. These are present and noticeable immediately after the inhale, tingling your taste buds and numbing your lips a tinge even as if you’re a few hours out of a dental surgery and just getting feeling back in your kisser. No time is wasted here between the exhale and onset of effects, bringing you face to face with the man himself - effectively useless against the brute force of this buzz. These genetics (whatever they may be) are aptly named and when done right like this should be reserved for experienced users and with the potency well in mind as your body will feel cemented in place while simultaneously floating; body abuzz the entire time. Definitely wheelchair category - can reach for this in my stash with confidence that it will reduce me to ash, every single time.

Number 2 on our list happens to be none other than the community-adorned Slurricane, which draws its desirable fruity tartness from the Purple Punchsicle parent. This is the seventh pheno sourced f...rom WC Essentials as it carries much more of a tropical and exotic angle to the aroma and flavour than I’m used to, while still retaining the signature creamy, nutty and spice characteristics of its lineage. The tropical punch here is led by a tart citrus that pierces the nostrils and invites the rest of the aromas to come party like the Jellyfish Jam from Spongebob, forming a dank, heavy and fruity cocktail with a skunky backend. It’s very clear to me why this is such a popular strain when done correctly as every angle seems to have been covered; checking off all boxes for the exotic hunters and flavour chasers out there without sacrificing any potency.
The colour palette truly reveals itself once the flower is broken down as trichome stalks have entirely dusted the surface area leaving minimal room for colour to peek through. On the surface, you’re able to make out a combination of both deep forest greens with a jaded purple that hits shades of midnight at some angles all contrasted by rich, mocha / orange hairs. However, once you split them open you are met with a delightful and vibrant display of colour, with some of those purple hues adopting more of a pink tinge and the Forest greens turning to a completely stripped pale lime; truly a display I’ve never seen with Slurricane before.
This batch produced medium to large sized buds and have once again been cured to complete perfection; rendering us with a crispy exterior that snaps apart to reveal virtually no stem whatsoever. Thick inner resin glands contribute to a pleasant tackiness when handling these buds and while some of the outer heads may have not survived the transportation - in no way does that impact the category I would place this flower in simply based off the terpene profile alone. This is a clear cut quad with craft qualities that will leave you completely incapacitated off just a few bowls.
Which is a nice little Segway into the next category: the smoke and effects. It was pretty apparent there would be a clean smoke here once I was able to make out the texture and humidity content of the flower, and I was right. Each bowl brings a smooth and barely noticeable exhale that is chalk full with tropical fruit and skunky kush flavours that linger on your tongue for a good while after smoking. Seriously it’s hard to believe how strong these terps are.
Immediately, the potency breaks you in half like Connor’s ankle and leaves you practically shaking as waves of serotonin flow through your veins - almost too much to handle at times. Once the initial body rush settles down, the high evens out into a balanced ride between heady and body-oriented that gives you varied levels of productivity based on your state going in. Meaning, if you are already tired going into this bud; it won’t wake you up because it is so potent. It will gently caress you back to sleep like Sandman, or someone running their fingers through your hair. On the contrary, if you have lots of stamina going into this buzz it will only serve as a compliment to that energy, helping to boost creativity while still keeping a calm and relaxed approach. My only gripe is again, the potency (is that even a gripe?). Even if I’m wide awake this flower is so strong that I would constantly pendulum swing between being focused and completely spacing out at a wall, so low tolerance users really have to play it safe in these waters. Jer does not f*ck around man.
The immaculate bag appeal here can be broken down into three sections: the outer trichome coverage, the colour palette, and the structure of the buds themselves. The state the flower arrived in indicates a relatively careful transportation, storage and packing... process; as many outer heads remained intact but it’s the sheer amount that is what’s impressive. Uniquely enough here I did not notice anthocyanin production in the traditional purple manner, but more of a completely stripped blue - void of all saturation and presence. This in conjunction with the jaded lime greens and occasional orange hair made for an uncommon but memorable visual experience that will stick with me for a while. Buds are structurally sound and cured to perfection here, retaining a sticky nature but not too heavy or humid; with an exterior crisp that snaps apart to reveal a resinous center. Burn is clean and virtually nonexistent, easing its way out on the exhale and leaving little desire to cough. No scratchiness, no harshness, just a full blown flavour assault of terpenes.
Which brings me into the next category: the terpenes. Staying in line with everything we’ve talked about so far, Oreoz boasts a rare and complex profile of rich stewed prunes, heavy musk and hints of dry cacao with just a bit of a skunky kick that rounds everything out. This is expressed in such a clean, fresh way and leaves users frothing at the mouth for more - that is if they’re coherent enough. Due to the flavour, high cannabanoid and hybrid nature of this plant, it’s quite easy to overdo things as you may not notice how much you’ve taken in right away. The feelings need a little more time to build, but eventually make their way from a distant murmur to an orchestral crescendo of bodily intoxication; reaching all the way to the tips of your appendages. The clean, focused but hard-hitting effects are the final base needed for that craft category Home Run and Oreoz absolutely smashed it out of the park.
These well-manicured mediums sport an eclectic colour palette that has always been captivating as well as consistent throughout the series (they are on V4 next time). Large resin glands coat the surface but really make their presence known with contrast against some of the darker leaf; tying togethe...r for an admirable bag appeal. Smoke and potency have only seem to be improved with time, with little to no resistance from bowls and a noticeable increase in how strong each hit was - this is the type of flower that just leaves me in shambles from a bong. Complete buzzing from head to toe as blood rushes to my head to turn my eyes red. Clean, unadulterated good vibes that don’t cause any panic, or mental discomfort even at higher doses it seems - I can see myself grabbing this one with confidence in the future without a doubt.
Arriving in two hefty colas thanks to @bburrr, this cultivar boasts a tremendously impressive bag appeal with almost galactic visual properties. Colour wise, there has been absolutely nothing left off the table as varying shades of saturated purple adorn the surface and even pick up more lavender / ...pink hues towards the centre. There is a minor presence of both lime and moss greens that weave their way around the dominating darker shades, all complimented by lively orange pistils. Texturally speaking, this batch arrived considerably dense and would cling to your fingers for dear life upon breaking down - slowly pulling and snapping apart to leave behind lengthy resin cheese pulls if you do it carefully.
Probably my favourite angle of this flower would have to be the aroma, which is just chalk full of wholly expressed cheese and skunk characteristics tied together with a more tart, sour tang. Noticeable hints of fresh spices and a nutty backend sort of linger behind the palate after smoking, but other than that you are met with a smokey, cheesy and fruity dessert treat that packs a goddamn wallop. I chose to consume the entirety of this eighth in bongs and I can say with full confidence that even the most seasoned of tokers should stay below the three bowl line if they are not trying to sleep themselves through the whole day. This is a sativa-dominant hybrid that is just so potent you have no other choice but to shut down at higher doses, so I would recommend this for experienced users only.
With a name that may ring unpleasant for some, Cat Piss is a unique sativa-driven hybrid that is said to carry aromas similar to ammonia. This was intriguing to me as it helped to deepen my appreciation for the eclectic nature of this plant and the many expres...sions that can take place through breeding. I had no doubts as I’ve definitely picked up some bitter, sour notes on previous strains like Animal Face before and while this grow definitely carried some more subtle ammonia-like undertones (quite muted), what took me by surprise was the intense burst of citrus, like you just zested an orange. This was such an inviting experience considering my reservations and quickly became a house favourite for its flavour profile and effects.
Arriving as medium to large buds that carry a wonderful cure, dense and sticky to the touch with a good amount of milky resin glands to decorate the surface. Bright and muted shades of green dance with healthy orange pistils to form a well-manicured bag appeal that stops just shy of industry quad quality, so I very much agree with the AAA+ category that OneTwo placed it in. Breaking down in a grinder leaves users with a fluffy, moonsand-like consistency full of orange cleaner terps that just emanate from your grinder as if someone just rubbed a peel around the rim of your piece like it was a cocktail.
A relatively smooth smoke is accompanied by those orange terps I can’t shut up about, as each exhale provides delicious orange tic-tac notes along with a noticeable funk that isn’t quite “gassy” but more along the musky side. Effects definitely remained on the cerebral side but can quickly get debilitating at higher doses, leaving users with no choice but to sleep it off. These sticky buds brought improved mood, appetite and social skills so it’s best suited for small gatherings, or even just your go-to daytime smoke with high levels of potency. Definite stamp of approval.
Something a little off the beaten path here, as LA Cake Pop brings a bold cross between OG relative LA Kush and the extensively backcrossed GG4 to bring about one of the more pleasant daytime smokes I’ve had this year. Staying true to the GG lineage, this batch produced medium to small sized buds ...just practically glowing nuclear and lime greens diversified only with a touch of darker shading and the pale orange pistils compacted tightly to the surface. Flower density is off the charts as a great deal of effort is required to split these little guys open, quite similar to the MAC1 or Milk and Cereal from OneTwo for whoever tried them. Contrary to previous experiences however, this bud doesn’t necessarily “fluff” up well, and grinds into what looks like a disappointingly small amount. But hold that thought, because not much is needed to reach a state of complete sun-kissed bliss; this flower is potent.
A very unique terpene profile lead by an earthy funk is complimented by tart and sour notes. Not too dissimilar from citrus terps, but with the “bitter” factor turned all the way up. I know others have mentioned a sweetness, but I was getting more of an earthy Kush with that sour lime twist that carried itself well through the inhale. Ease of use is a point I’d like to drive home here because it really felt as if I was just inhaling flavourful air, burning so clean you almost forget you are smoking.
Powerful but pleasant wave after wave flushes through your body that brings with it a impermanent state of jubilation. This is in part why this has become such a favourite daytime medication for me, because this strain provides a high but healthy dose of positive vibes without the less desirable side effects of heavier strains. No head fog, no burnout, just uplifting, creative and motivated feelings for hours. To me, this is a wonder expression of the nuance and beauty of this plant, finding a special place in the headstash for those certain days I need just that little extra.
Recommended for any time of day really though, for experienced users but can be appreciated by all - with dosage in mind.
