This strain went under the radar for me as it’s my very first time trying it. A cross of Sunset Sherbert x Octane, making for a great bag appeal. Forest greens and purples met with a generous dusting of milky trichomes and wild orange pistils. The bu...d structure isn’t of the tightest nature but they leave the fingers sticky and coated in resin when busted by hand.
The aroma of this one is very pungent and dank. Sharp gas followed by an earthy sweetness that fills the room instantly. Definitely does the octane in the name justice. The taste is also extremely gassy with sweet, earthy notes on exhale. It’s so smooth for how gassy it is, producing a thick, heavy smoke and light grey ash. It greases up nicely as well, building a hefty oil ring quickly.
A potent and balanced hybrid that has a good mix of mind and body effects. Starts with an immediate eye heaviness, feeling the buzz come on in a very heady, stoney manner. It becomes very relaxing and euphoric later into the high and offers the perfect chill type of mood that makes everything fun and enjoyable. Definitely my favourite of the three strains I tried.
There was a few contradicting sites when searching for the lineage of this strain but seedfinder has it as a pairing of O.G. LA Affie and Afghani. Very nice looking olive green nugs with purple accents that are coated generously in trichomes and wild copper-orange pistils. D...ense and firm, arriving with a good level of stickiness and neat trim.
The aroma and flavour of this LA Confidential is what I imagine the love child of Blue Dream and Black Diamond would be like. Sweet pine, musky earth, and berries. It’s very pungent and in your face, especially upon being ground up. It comes through rather nicely when smoked with a sweet, musky earth flavour and notes of pine. It was very smooth but did leave my throat a little dry and raspy afterwards which was the only downside, burning to a salt and pepper ash and producing a decent oil ring.
Full bodied effects, delivering a heady and euphoric stone while leaving you in a comfortable body buzz. Very relaxing stuff, allowing you to drift off with your thoughts without any unwanted worries. Can be slightly sedating as well due to the calming couch lock.
Never got a chance to post this beautiful looking Purple Pugs Breath. One of the strongest pine smelling/tasting strains I’ve had but like the actual sap of a pine tree or pinecone. Very aromatic and incense like with sweet, honey undertones. It ho...nestly reminds me of church or a funeral home but in an oddly good way. A potent kicker of a high as well that felt very much indica leaning with relaxing and euphoric effects. Definitely a unique one.
First time trying this wicked looking strain and I can easily say it stands out from all the other lemon strains I’ve typically had. A cross of Lemon Haze x Wonkstar, this flower demonstrates some beautiful qualities. The appeal for one is lovely, with perfectly cured nugs that display a mix of in...digo purples and light greens, all overshadowed by sheer amounts of frosty trichomes and glowing orange pistils. Fluffy in appearance but the buds are actually quite firm, breaking up beautifully with an ideal stickiness.
The aroma borderlines a lemon soda or candy as it delivers strong notes of sweet and sour candied lemons followed by soft herbal accents. It translates fairly well to the taste with some added peppering in the mix and offers a tasty lemon zest freshness on exhale. A little heavy on the lungs- as is the case for the majority of haze related strains, though very clean burning as it produces a light coloured ash.
The effects are sativa dominant, potent, and long lasting, beginning with an uplifted cerebral stone, leaving you slightly spaced out yet focused when you want to be. It’s also extremely social, encouraging conversation. The relaxing qualities follow soon after, providing a calming and easy going buzz that wards off any anxiety or stress. Fantastic morning/afternoon strain all together.
These beautiful, frosty buds bring together three classic parents for an old-school, tasty smoke. A nice mix of berry and gorilla glue pine terps with a euphoric, couch locking stone. Would defi...nitely grab this one again.
Despite what the name may imply, this one smelled and tasted quite good. A mix of sweet berries and fruit with a pungent diesel aroma in the background. The taste however was more dominated by the OG... Kush side as it’s more earthy and diesel leaning. The high is potent and sedating with a numbing body stone that takes little time to kick in.
Two of my favourite strains wrapped into one. Gorilla Glue x Wedding Cake. Super tasty, potent, and quite the looker too! A combination of sweet cake, creamy gas, and hints of pine. Good ol’ couch locking indica.
