This was the lesser rated strain out of the 4, although I actually found it to stand out over some of the others. Derived from Jamaica, this Tornado has a decent appeal with it's dense and conical in structure. Shades of dark purples and greens that are complimented by peach coloured pistils. Sl...ightly sticky with plenty of stalks and not many heads once again and a very tight trim job.
Quite the aromatic strain, especially when broken apart where it releases it's full profile. Pungent and peppery, with undertones of skunky diesel. Not as pronounced in taste as I'd hoped as it only carries over subtle hints of how it smells. The burn was on the lighter side and produced a decent sized oil ring.
The high is definitely sativa in nature as it promotes uplifting and energetic tendencies, all while keeping one in a mellow, clear headed state. Social as well as it can have you wanting to engage in mundane conversation. Maybe a little short lived as it seemed another puff was needed quicker than usual to keep the buzz going.
Plump, mossy green buds that display an iconic zombie appearance with a pale complexion and plethora of thick orange hairs that grow in clusters. They have a soft texture but squishing a nug between the fingers gives a good idea of it's moderate density and stickiness. A lo...t of stalks and squished trichomes would be my only gripe as the trim and cure are good.
The profile is layered and takes a few attempts to fully take in as it's peppery and woody at first but gets piney and sweet when broken up. The flavour is similar when smoked with a spicy kush taste on the exhale. It leaves the entire area smelling of incense and cedar wood with it's aromatic smoke. Smooth and clean burning, producing a light ash and medium sized oil ring.
I found the high to come on quickly as I started feeling extremely relaxed and mellow after a few minutes. Low, heavy eyes, and a light body buzz that became more apparent as time went on. It also brought on quite the heady/stoney effects that paired nicely with it's slightly sedative state. It's not a knockout indica but it did leave me rather lazy afterwards.
I've had the pleasure of reviewing CAMMP's in house King Tut twice now and I can ultimately say the consistency is right up to par. Wicked bag appeal as the buds are hand trimmed and fantastically cured with tons of full headed trichome...s. They display a mix of light and dark greens that are accented by subtle purple streaks and winding, blazing orange pistils that give these buds heaps of personality. The buds aren't insanely sticky to the touch but still have a decent texture to them and far from dry.
No mistaking this one's very sativa influenced profile. Citrusy, herbal, and peppery all at the same time with some underlying hints of skunk. While tame at first, there is a pungent diesel-sharpness that manages to come out, and especially once the buds are broken apart. Smooth and easy to take fat hauls of, providing a clean burn with a light coloured ash and decent oil ring.
The high is very sativa leaning with talkative and energetic characteristics that are mood lifting and clear headed. Ideal for being functional and active throughout the day without having the fear of a burnout. There's also some slight relaxation but moreso mentally as you're not left with anxiety or paranoia like some sativas. They really have this one dialed in nicely.
This CAMMP in house Duke Nukem is some very visually stunning flower, even more so than the last time I reviewed it. The colours are identical but these buds seem to have a tighter and larger bud structure.... Minty, sage green buds that are heavily blanketed in full, undisturbed trichomes along with shades of violet purple that contrast with it's vibrant orange hairs. They are carefully and exquisitely hand trimmed to a tee and cured to perfection just like last time. Advertised as small batch and tops only.
Besides the looks, everything else was spot on and consistent to my previous experience with this Duke Nukem. A blend of earthy and piney notes followed by woody, berry undertones. There is also a richness to it that I can best describe as buttery. It translates accurately with some added notes of skunk on exhale that gives the smoke a sharp, acrid kick to it. The burn is mostly on the white side with a sprinkling of pepper, producing a resinous oil ring very quickly.
A sativa influenced high that is super heady and uplifted, taking little time to effectively kick in. There's also a sense of relaxation that settles in after a few minutes, leaving you free of any anxious or paranoid feelings like some racey sativas can bring on. Decently long lasting and very enjoyable, especially if you like to wake and bake, keeping you active and functional throughout the day with no burnout at all.
Starting with a classic strain in this next round of reviews. This in house Gorilla Glue #4 from CAMMP arrived in mostly popcorn sized buds with a few medium sized ones as well. They are mainly light and olive green in colour, with a healthy amount ...of trichomes and orange-red hairs. Some buds are a little darker in complexion with more of a forest green look and even touches of purple. They are slightly on the sticky side, followed by a neat trim.
The nose is a little muted at first, mostly smelling of pepper and earth. Breaking a bud apart releases more traditional glue notes with aromas of sweet pine. It's also very much the same when smoked, offering a mix of sweet pine and earth with hints of pepper on the exhale. It's easy on the throat and lungs, burning with a light coloured ash and producing a modestly sized oil ring in a joint.
I found the effects to be quite sativa leaning at first with mellow, uplifting characteristics and a cerebral head high. It's soon followed by a calming, relaxing body stone that isn't sedating at all. One of those strains that can be smoked at anytime of the day and is especially good for gaming and movies or just kicking back at home.
Yeah I seen that man, friggin shitty ordeal. It doesn't even look similar to the one I have to be honest. Plus it came in a jar and not a bag so I'm not sure what happened. Is it an issue of freshness/storage or just a different batch all together? Hopefully he makes things right with you....r/>
This Wedding Cake does not lack one bit in the bag appeal department with it's extremely easy on the eyes appearance. Dense, chunky buds that are a combination of mint and forest greens with hints of purple spotted throughout. Very greasy looki...ng from the copious amounts of resinous trichomes that in turn give it a sticky to the touch texture inside and out. All topped off with a significant amount of pale-orange pistils and a perfect trim. The cure is right on point as well.
The profile of this Wedding Cake is very creamy, producing pleasant notes of sweet vanilla and recognizable cookie nuances of pepper and citrus. The taste is quite similar being very sweet and savoury with a thick creamy smoke and hints of dank earth on exhale. Very slow and greasy burning, offering a light coloured ash in a joint and remaining smooth from start to finish.
A high that is perfect for late afternoons and evenings being a dessert strain. It begins with an instant head high that is soon followed by mood enhancing feelings of happiness and a general sense of euphoria. It can be a little couch locking too as it's very relaxing in nature making it a great strain for winding down at the end of a long day.
Definitely one of my most reviewed strains of all time, giving Nuken a run for It's money. This God's Green Crack from The Natural Remedy arrived in small to medium sized nugs that showcase shades of light greens and subtle purples. Plenty o...f orange/reddish hairs as well. Moderately dense and sticky with a fair share of cloudy trichomes that cover the buds from head to toe.
A distinctly recognizable nose that seems to be exclusive to this strain for some reason. PG13 can actually be quite similar and is the odd exception but in general I don't come across it often. An aromatic combination of sweet herbs and earth with nutty, hashy undertones. Also some pine like incense in there. It translates well to taste with a full flavoured and thick smoke, burning to a light salt and pepper ash.
The effects of this strain are probably as close as a hybrid gets. It starts with an uplifting and stimulating head high from the Green Crack that's eventually met with a relaxing and calming body stone from the God Bud. It doesn't feel overpowering in any one category but also doesn't feel like it lacks anything either, making it an any time of the day smoke.
This batch of Stevie Dawg really reminds me of the previous one when it comes to the looks, just with a little fox tailing going on. Light, mossy green buds that are soft and sticky with a fluffy structure, yet still maintaining a decently firm den...sity. Great trichome production throughout, giving the buds a good amount of stickiness, especially within as the cure is on point.
The aromas of this strain are mostly gorilla glue dominant, with notes of sweet earth and pine. Also some sour hints of diesel especially once broken up. When smoked, the diesel came out on top, with an added floral/perfume flavour on exhale. Extremely smooth, burning to an impeccable white ash with a thick, quick forming oil ring.
It offers a potent mix of euphoric and cerebral effects making for a balanced, hybrid high. Starts off in the head and behind the eyes, making it's way to the rest of the body in a very relaxing fashion. Also said to have a small amount of Cbd as well, adding to it's mellow and potentially couch locking nature. This would be my third time having this strain which seems to be a signature TNR flower at this point and it always gets better.
