This strain combines two true classics. Blueberry and Northern lights. The buds are extremely dense and compact, requiring some strength and effort to peel apart. It can be very deceiving as a smaller bud will effectively expand when ground up. Sticky as well, packed with a decent amount of trichome...s, although there are a fair share of stalks which stand out in contrast to the green and purple shading. Very well trimmed and perfectly cured.
The aroma and flavour profile on this Blue Lights is something of the past as it's been quite a while since I enjoyed a Blueberry related strain such as this one. The Northern Lights takes a back seat in this relationship as it's mainly all sweet blueberry. It's then met with earthy and herbal undertones that are more noticed in the taste than smell. It burns perfectly, producing a clean white ash and slick oil ring from start to end.
I found the effects to be very balanced in the early stages of the high. An even mix of cerebral and euphoric qualities that make it great for focus related tasks as well as creative ones. It's also uplifting and relaxing, giving it a mellow and happy demeanour. As the high wore off, it left me slightly burned out and lazy, enforcing it's indica dominance in the long run. A very enjoyable strain altogether.
Tried a different angle for my main picture this time around. Full album can be seen here : https://imgur.com/a/ZBCpXed
Last but far from least. Saved the heavy hitting Pink Death to end off this latest round of reviews. Extremely greasy and sticky to the touch, leaving the fingers coated... in resinous trichomes. Eye catching colours of forest greens and dark purple sugar leaf that really accentuate the impressive amount of crystals and wispy orange hairs that populate the dense buds. This one follows suit with the rest by arriving with a fantastic trim and cure.
A powerfully pungent nose and taste on this Pink Death, producing nothing but deep, dank gas followed by hints of sweet diesel. Only a slight pink presence and definitely more death bubba influenced as it's more earthy than floral. Super enjoyable nonetheless, producing a milky, mouthwatering smoke that completely coats the pallet. Very smooth on the lungs considering the heaviness of the smoke. Burns nice and greasy too, leaving behind a light coloured ash with a very resinous oil ring.
The high is heavily potent and begins instantly with a surging buzz behind the temples and eyes. Super heady while also delivering waves of euphoric effects alongside a relaxing, almost lethargic body stone. Calming and couch locking with a high potential of leaving one lazy and useless for the rest of the day. Definitely a good one for evening use as it effectively tucks you into bed.
A classic fan favourite. Can't ever go wrong with a good Pink Kush in my opinion. This one from AC Medical arrived very sticky and heavily frosted, looking like it was barely handled with all the intact heads remaining. Mainly light green in... colour with the most subtle of purples that can be spotted throughout, followed by clusters of jagged orange hairs. Once again, the trim and cure are both great, furthermore adding to this Pink Kush's appeal.
The profile just screams Pink as it wreaks of pungent, floral-gas, combined with dank notes of earth and pine. Instantly fills up the room with it's strong and intoxicating aromas, which also translate perfectly over to flavour with a lingering pink kush taste on exhale. Heavy on the lungs as it kicks you in the chest, but smooth in the long run as you're able to recuperate rather quickly. Burns very resinous in a joint, leaving behind a light coloured ash with a hefty oil ring.
The high is exactly what you would expect from a Pink. Extremely relaxing with a powerful head stone, delivering both mind and body effects. Really just leaves you in a state of euphoric bliss with a certain floatiness. It isn't a knock out indica but has the potential to be couch locking and slightly sedative. Personally one of my favorite types of highs as it checks all the boxes for me.
One of my consistently favourite strains. This beautiful, colourful nug of Wedding Cake from AC Medical arrived on the dense and sticky side. Chunky and hearty structure, loaded with greasy trichomes in every crevice that are of the milky/cloudy variety. A mix of light and forest greens that are met... with violet purples and lively orange pistils. The trim is impeccable, which is a common theme that I've noticed with all the strains I've reviewed so far. Can't forget about the cure, which is also on point.
The profile of this one is super enjoyable and one that I seek when it comes to this strain. A sweet combination of sugary, doughy undertones that remarkably resemble vanilla and Italian biscotti. There's also a certain type of dankness when ground up, which converts to an ever so slight touch of creamy gas on exhale. Full flavoured and savoury, with the smoke remaining smooth and pronounced throughout the entire joint. Clean burning as well, producing a soft white ash followed by a greasy resin ring.
An evenly balanced high for the most part, with a mix of both mental and physical effects coming together to form a perfectly rounded and long lasting hybrid. Uplifting, euphoric and social, all while being laid back and relaxed in a blissful state. Perfect for late afternoon or early evenings as it can still leave you not wanting to accomplish much. Always a crowd pleaser of a strain when done right, which can be said about many dessert strains but this one takes the cake for me.
Up next from AC Medical, a strain I've only had on one other occasion, Forbidden Fruit. The bag appeal is superb as it displays a heavy blanket of frost that envelops the bud from top to bottom. It's lovely colours still manage to vibran...tly come through in shades of dark greens and rich purples. Jagged orange pistils only further bring up the level of appeal along with a very fine trim. Just looking at the bud let's you know it's going to be of a dense composition, which aims to be true as soon as you try cracking it apart. This one also feels like a dry cure as it's crisp on the outside and sticky within.
This strain offers a lovely, full bodied concoction of fruity flavours and aromas ranging from sweet berries to tart cherries that are mouthwatering to the senses. There's also a splash of citrus coming from it's parent Tangie. It translates fairly accurately to taste with a delightful blend of fruity notes, all complimented by a rich creaminess. I did find it to be just a little heavy and unforgiving on the lungs when smoking it in either bong or joint. It burns rather clean, producing a hefty oil ring and salt and pepper ash.
Another indica leaning hybrid that quickly begins with a stoney and spaced out head high before falling into a peaceful state of relaxation. Couch locking with zoned out effects, making it easily susceptible to daydreaming and spacing out. Definitely a strain to smoke when you know there's not much to be done as this one offers minimal motivation unless it's watching tv or playing video games.
This Cookies and Cream from AC Medical displays a light green appearance that is accompanied by a plethora of dark orange hairs and subtle purples. Quite frosty as well, coating the surface in milky trichomes. Dense and chunky in structure and a... very neat, close trim. The cure seems to be a dry one that leaves the exterior crisp and the interior sticky. It doesn't crumble to dust but it also breaks apart with ease using just the fingers.
A different profile than I'm accustomed to with this cut of Cookies and Cream but in good/different kind of way. Sweet and pungent fragrances, beginning with creamy notes of vanilla and lemon cookies that come to a subtle earthy finish. It translates over to the taste accurately, providing a sweet cookie exhale that manages to leave a zesty lemon aftertaste on the pallet. It burns a little on the darker salt and pepper side but I didn't find it to be overly harsh.
The high seems to be of the indica-hybrid variety as the effects are split into two phases. It's very heady and cerebral at first with social and invigorating effects, followed by a lazy, couch locking body stone. A couple hits go a long way as it's some fairly potent flower. It doesn't really come off as sedating but can promote a yawn or two as it does tread very closely to that department. Ideal for lazy days when not much needs to be done physically.
I've never had this strain before but I'm guessing it to be a cross of Purple Candy and a Haze of sorts. Round, dense, olive green buds with hints of purple throughout and darker hues of green as well. A modest amount of trichome heads but it also looks like a bunch of them have been knocked... off. It arrived on the sticky and resinous side, holding in a decent amount of moisture and sporting a close trim.
It has one of those profiles that seem familiar, reminding me of certain berry related strains that I can't quite put a finger on. It's a combination of sour berries and musky earth in both aroma and flavour, with an added spiciness when smoked. There also some floral accents in the mix. It's smooth and easy on the lungs, producing a modest oil ring and salt and pepper ash.
The high seems to coast around the balanced hybrid territory, offering a mix of mind and body effects that never get too overpowering. Definitely feels like the type of buzz that keeps you functional enough to go about daily tasks as it's cerebrally engaging with no noticeable sedative qualities other than a sense of calmness that comes with it.
It's been a pleasure opening up a jar full of this beautiful flower every day. It's a love hate thing really as it hurts to consume and I just want to savour it forever. It's so enjoyable to... smoke, break up, smell, roll, the whole experience. I think Harmony nailed it with this one and it was by far my favourite. Amazing bag appeal in every way. Greasy, frosty, and sticky, with lovely colour shading and bud structure.
Mouth watering terps that are along the lines of the strain peanut butter breath. Sweet, nutty, and creamy, resembling actual peanut butter. There's also this pungent garlic funk that lingers in the background but it only compliments the entire profile and isn't an off putting garlic at all. Super smooth and clean burning flower. It builds a fat oil ring in a joint and produces a white ash from start to finish.
The high is also on par with everything else as it packs a solid punch that feels like a slight indica leaning hybrid. It's very euphoric and uplifting and has relaxing qualities as well. I found it to be the perfect movie or gaming type high as it's easy to zone out mentally while feeling one with the couch.
This was part of a contest but I would definitely scoop it up again in the future.
