Greasy Pink Kush

This strain didn’t smell quite like a typical Pink Kush, it had a gassier scent than the usual. I really enjoyed smoking this one, it has a great earthy kind of flavor while smoking, with a clean burn, and a smooth smoke. Very strong couch-lock high that seems to be heavily indica leaning. The sample nug was very nice, well trimmed, with some nice color. I’d call it 87/100(AAA+)

Darth Vader OG

This strain has gorgeous color all through the nug, absolutely beautiful. Everything else about it is fairly average though. The trim isn’t great, the gassy smell isn’t super pungent, and the high feels like a pretty average one. I like the flavor, and I love the color, but overall I’d say this strain is a pretty middle-of-the-board one, not amazing, but definitely something I don’t think anyone would really dislike. 75/100(AAA)

Hawaiian Snow

It’s always kind of hard to describe the smell of this strain. It’s like a musky white widow smell, mixed with some sweet flavors. This sample aside from the nugs being on the smaller side has fantastic bag appeal. Exceptionally well trimmed nugs that look to have been grown and cured quite well. While the smell isn’t extremely pungent, and the flavor doesn’t come through as well as some of the other strains in this batch, the high seems to quite energetic, which was a nice change from the rest of the indica leaning strains in this group. I love the sativa leaning effects of this strain, although they aren’t incredibly strong. 82/100(AAA) in my opinion.

Purple Space Cookies

I always love Purple Space Cookies. Fantastic grape/berry smell, it usually has much more purple coloration, but even without the purple this bud looks beautiful. Trimmed quite nicely, completely caked, and nice and large. The flavor comes through quite well in the smoke, and the high is very strong, seemingly indica leaning. Not the best PSC that I’ve had, but definitely a high quality strain. 91/100(AAAA) in my opinion.

Snow White

I found this Snow White to be quite similar to the Hawaiian Snow in flavor, although more pungent, and they have a similar buzz as well, although I think I prefer the buzz of the Hawaiian Snow. The bag appeal of this strain is quite nice, but the buds could use a closer trim. I enjoy smoking Snow White a lot, and this was a nice example of a pretty popular strain. It’s not the best Snow White out there, nor is it the worst. It sits at a solid 84/100(AAA) for me.

Mercedes Hash

I don’t really smoke hash, and I definitely wouldn’t buy mercedes hash. It’s not terrible, has an old-school flavor and I’m sure a lot of older folks love it. But it’s not for me. 5/10.

I really enjoyed this strain. The smell is quite nice, it’s a little bit earthy, but mixed with a sweet profile as well. The nugs are all on the smaller side, but they’re quite nice looking. Well trimmed, with some nice color. The smoke on this strain was a little harsher than I’d like, but it had a very nice taste, and the buzz is quite potent. After smoking the buzz lasted for quite a while, and had me feeling pretty lazy. It’s not a knockout strain, but it’s a strong indica buzz. 85/100(AAA)

Violator

I don’t really like Violator as a strain overall. I don’t care for the strong musky smell that always accompanies it, it reminds me of old cheese or feet. Getting past the terrible musky smell/flavor, these buds are actually quite nice looking. Again, on the medium to small side, but well trimmed with a nice bright green color. The buzz is nothing too crazy, it feels like it’s a nice hybrid, seemingly giving you effects of both laziness, and focus. Trying to keep my personal bias aside, I’d rate this strain at like 82/100(AAA)

Romulan

I didn’t really care for this sample at all. It has an odd grassy smell, along with the smoke being quite harsh and lacking flavor. Not sure what happened to this one, but it’s definitely not as good as the other two were. Not as pungent, nor as potent. I’d call this 65/100(AA) the only time I’d buy this is as some cheap budget stuff.

Bubba Kush Kief

This kief is awesome. Not much else to say about it, it tastes great, it smells very strong, and as a joint or bowl topper it’s very potent. I really like smoking some extra kief once in a while, and this was a nice surprise to see in a sample pack. 85/100(AAA)

Night Shade

I really liked this strain. It has an extremely pungent smell that is kind of fruity, sweet and a little earthy. I think I’d compare the smell to some sort of fruit-filled dessert.

The nugs have some beautiful colors running through them, and are absolutely covered in kief. I wish the trim was better, but overall I’d say the trim is the only negative trait I can think of. Very potent buzz, seemingly indica leaning. The high on this stuff is great. This is very good quality flower, it’s just not something I’d call AAAAA. 88/100(AAA+) which could be AAAA with a better trim.

Black Widow

I’d say this was probably my least favorite of the bunch, it’s still quite nice, and smells great. Very strong smell of gassy berries. The nugs have a great look, even though they’re a little loose. The trim is again, not great. I don’t think any of this product gets hand trimmed, which is weird for stuff priced so highly. Regardless, it’s a nice smooth smoke, with salt/pepper ash, that provides a very strong, couch-lock buzz. It’s definitely not a bad strain, but again, I disagree with their rating. 86/100(AAA)

The Black

I liked this strain a lot. It’s almost the perfect example of a AAAA strain, the trim is also good enough to keep the AAAA mark this time, impressively. The smell is exceptionally strong, and very enjoyable, although hard to describe. Something like a vanilla flavored window cleaner. It’s a little musky, but also sweet. The buds are completely coated in kief, to the point where it covers my fingers when handling. Smoke is smooth, and ash is clean. The buzz this strain provides is exceptionally strong, and seems to be mostly indica, making me want to relax for seemingly forever. 90/1000

Blue Fin Tuna

The best of the bunch. This is the only strain I’d call top-shelf with no hesitation. The smell is pungent enough to fill a room as soon as the bottle is opened. The smell is extremely hard to describe, almost like a musky coffee with notes of fruit. That’s probably not a great description, but it’s all I’ve got. The buds are absolutely beautiful. Well trimmed and dense with great color. The smoke is smooth and the ash is clean. The buzz on this strain is like a perfect hybrid. Exceptionally strong and focus-inducing while also being very relaxing. Very high quality flower, very enjoyable to smoke. 95/100(AAAA)

It seems like BMWO wants to impress, and in many ways they did. I like their products, a lot and their customer service seems to be fantastic. I feel like they care about the quality of their products, even though a lot of them could use a better trim. With that said, I find the 5A grading system absolutely ridiculous, and kind of shady. It seems like a way to draw in new customers who may not know very much about mail order services, and are thinking ’Wow, 5A must be amazing’ which, coupled with the high prices is in my opinion a poor way to operate.See More

Death Bubba

This seems to be the most common strain in Canada recently. This Death Bubba is pretty nice, but not the full potential of what the strain could be. Decent earthy flavor with a lesser gassy smell that’s stronger when busted apart, Nice strong indica buzz. I’d say this is one of the better DB’s I’ve tried recently, but not the best. 80/100(AAA) in my opinion.

Rockstar

Another strain that I’ve seen a million times recently, but unlike the DB, this is probably one of the best Rockstar’s I’ve tried in the past little while. The nugs are quite small, bordering on popcorn, but smell amazing. Very strong gassy/spicy aroma, Trimmed quite will, with a nice smooth smoke and great flavor, I loved smoking this stuff. The buzz is also a potent indica, leaving my locked in my seat for a while after smoking. 85/100(AAA+) for me which could be higher if the nugs weren’t so small.

Sour Grapes

I’d say this is the least potent of the three strains I received. It has a nice musky fruit smell, but the buds were a kind of fluffy, the smoke wasn’t incredibly smooth, and I wasn’t a huge fan of the overall flavor. The buzz was a nice change of pace, seeming to be leaning more towards the effects of a sativa, keeping me focused and making me talkative. I enjoyed the buzz quite a bit, and would like this strain a lot more if it smelled differently. 75/100(AAA)

Rockstar Shatter/Sugar Wax

When I first looked at this stuff, I wasn’t expecting much of it. It’s very bright and odd looking, but it smells amazing, tastes great and packs quite a punch. Definitely a nice surprise. The texture is great as a bowl topper or adding in joints, but obviously the flavor isn’t the best that way. 7/10 for me.

UK Cheese

Right out of the bag I’m hit with the very strong, unmistakable smell of cheese. I used to hate these strains, but over time I’ve become more open to them. I really enjoyed the strong musky smell. The sample bud was very well trimmed, and quite dense. The smoke is a little harsh, and the ash is slightly dark. This strain has a nice relaxing buzz, nothing crazy strong, but nice to smoke and unwind. 82/100(AAA) in my opinion.

Platinum Bubba Kush

I personally didn’t care for this strain, it had a light smell, and seemed less potent than other PBK that I’ve tried. The buzz was pretty nice, much better than expected. Strong euphoric high that was quite long lasting, the buzz is this strains most redeeming feature. Overall it’s not bad, but it’s nothing special. I’d call it something like 71/100(AA+) but this one was really hard to judge.

Layer Cake

Easily the best strain in the bunch. The smell on this Layer Cake was so strong and sweet that the small sample filled the room when the bag was opened. The sample nug was completely caked, looked beautiful, and tasted amazing. Smooth smoke, with a pretty clean ash. I honestly love this stuff, and could smoke it all day. One of my recent favorites. 90/100(AAAA) in my opinion.

Alien OG

This was a middle-of-the-road kind of strain, the smell is a nice musky, gassy smell, but not incredibly strong, the bud was nice and dense, and decently trimmed. I enjoyed smoking it, it has a nice kind of cerebral buzz that helps keep me focused. It’s smooth enough to not really choke me up, even though the raspy feeling is still there. Salt and pepper ash. Not a bad strain at all, I’d smoke more of it. 75/100(AAA) in my opinion.

Organic Skunk #1

I really enjoyed this strain. It didn’t smell much like skunk, but had a very pungent cheesy smell. The flavor comes through in the smoke as well, and is quite enjoyable. The buzz isn’t exceptionally strong, but is a nice manageable body buzz. This is one of the more enjoyable organic strains I’ve tried, and I’d definitely smoke it again. Solid 75/100(AAA) for me.

White Widow

Not the same flavor I’m used to from White Widow, this one has a much more earthy smell and flavor than I’ve seen before. Still an enjoyable smoke. Very smooth, with a nice floral flavor. The high is quite strong, and feels more indica leaning, had me focused and alert. Everything in the pack seems to be fairly similar in terms of quality. I’d call this 78/100(AAA) similar to the Skunk, but a little more enjoyable.

Organic Moby Dick

This strain has a much more gassy smell than either of the other two, my favorite of the bunch for sure. Smooth, clean smoke just like it should be when it’s organic. The buzz is quite strong, leaving me feeling lazy and relaxed. I’m impressed by how potent these organic strains are, as I’ve generally found others to be quite weak comparatively. This was definitely a surprise, albeit an enjoyable one. I’d love to try some more of their organic strains and see how they match up. 82/100(AAA).

Rocky Mountain Rosin Cart

I was also sent an unlabeled Rocky Mountain Rosin vape cart, which tasted quite nice, similar to a Jack or Diesel strain, and was quite potent. Definitely enjoyable, I’m going to be looking into trying out more of them. Sorry I couldn’t get a good picture, not sure what I should take a picture of on these things. I’m not comfortable enough smoking carts to give it a number or grade rating.

Blue Hawaiian Skunk

I’m not a huge fan of this strain, but it was not bad at all. Quite enjoyable, especially for something I didn’t expect to enjoy.. A more subtle scent than most of the other strains, it had some notes of diesel, and berries. Smooth smoke, with an interesting uplifting high that I really enjoyed. I’d prefer not to smoke this strain again, but it’s definitely not something I’d turn away. Similar to a lot of other ’blue’ strains and I don’t care for them generally. I’d say this strain is 75/100(AAA) which is mostly due to it’s killer buzz.

Purple Space Cookies

I love PSC as a strain, and this didn’t disappoint at all. Beautiful purple nugs, with a fantastic grape/berry smell that many purple strains are so well known for.

Smooth burning, sweet smoke that hits like a truck. Priced quite highly on the site, I personally wouldn’t spend that much on an oz, but if you’re into expensive top shelf cannabis, this is the stuff for you. 90/100(AAAA) for me.

Gelato 33

Very similar to the PSC in overall quality, beautiful nugs with fantastic purple coloration all through them, an extremely pungent berry smell fills the room the second the bag is opened regardless of quantity, a nice heavy indica couchlock that I could smoke all day, every day if I could justify paying 260/oz for it. 92/100(AAAA)

Purple Berry

Not quite as nice as the other strains, I wouldn’t consider this AAAA, nor would I put it on the same level as strains like PSC or Gelato 33. It’s very nice in it’s own right, and deserves some love for being a unique purple strain that has an awesome Hybrid buzz, but it doesn’t have that knockout high that I’d expect a high quality indica to have, It’s got an enjoyable buzz that I’d suggest for watching movies, or playing video games or something, but it definitely isn’t putting a seasoned smoker to sleep.

Still an enjoyable strain regardless, and I’d smoke more of it given the opportunity. 80/100(AAA) in my opinion.

Purple Skunk

I absolutely love the nose on this strain. Extremely pungent, brings me back to 10 years ago when the only good strain around was Purp while I was in high school, and it all smelled like this. Just for the nostalgia alone this strain gets a pass from me. The smoke is heavy and makes me cough more than the others, but the high is exactly what you’d expect from a top shelf indica. Again, I couldn’t justify their pricing, but I absolutely loved smoking this strain. I don’t think it was as strong as the Gelato or as visually appealing as the GSC, but it’s nostalgic and amazing. 89/100(AAAA) for me.

Gentle Death

I’m not sure if this is kept in stock because it has ’gentle’ in the name, or whatever else may be up with it, but I didn’t care much for this strain. It choked me up a bit, didn’t have a fantastic flavor, and had a more subtle smell than anything else in the pack. The buzz is quite strong, but isn’t anything special either. I’m assuming this strain is kept around for it’s name, and not really it’s quality so much. 70/100(AA+) on this one in my opinion.

Motor Oil

I don’t really like to review concentrates, because I’m definitely no expert. This stuff was pretty good, it doesn’t look or taste the best (I’d imagine that’s why it’s called motor oil) but it gets you ripped and has a pretty nice gooey texture.

Pink Shatter

Similar to the motor oil, it doesn’t look the best, but it has a pretty nice flavor, a very strong high, and a nice pull/snap texture.

I generally order bulk, but they have some ...very fair pricing on their ounces. From 120-200 as far as I’ve seen.

Communication through e-mail is fairly quick. Elizabeth seems friendly enough, haven’t had much interaction with them.

Packaging:

Not exactly phenomenal packaging. No vacuum seal, small box with one strip of tape. Needs work for sure.

Products / Photos:

Nuken

I was quite surprised with the quality. For something that was free, I was expecting a low AA at best. This stuff is easily AA+ or AAA- and exceeds expectations.

A lot of the buds are on the smaller side, being less than half a gram. 2 larger nugs mixed in with the rest. The buds are fairly dense, seem to have been cured well and aren’t too dry. With that said, it’s smell isn’t incredibly pungent and it’s trim could use a lot of work. Earthy/Gassy smell on this one, with a fairly harsh smoke that burns grayish white. There’s also some animal hairs in this stuff, which isn’t ideal. The buzz is a pretty strong, but not overpowering Indica buzz, I wouldn’t say it’ll put you to sleep but it’s nice and relaxing. Overall I’d rate this at 70/100 AA+/AAA- which could’ve been higher if the trim was better, and I wasn’t finding hair.

I guess CannaLeaf is a new MoM trying to get their name out their, and I can only imagine giving away 200+ free half ounces did just that. Interesting business strategy, hopefully it all works out for them in the end.

Ordering & Pricing:

My origin...al sample pack, and first order were done through e-mail and live chat, so I’m not sure what the cart system is like, but my order was quickly processed, and I was sent tracking within a couple hours. Pricing is more than fair on many strains, especially the bulk pricing.

I also noticed 4 new strains were added today, and while they’re a little out of my typical price range, they’re still not terribly priced by any means.

Communication:

The live chat took a little while to get a response, but once I did communication was quick, friendly and easy. Same with e-mails.

Packaging:

My sample pack was very neatly packed in a box just large enough to fit the contents. Discreet. Have a HP coming, will update with how that was packed when it arrives.

Romulan

This Romulan was different than any other Romulan I’ve smoked. It had a great sweet smell and taste, instead of the more earthy Romulan flavor I’ve become accustomed to. I much prefer this flavor, and would buy this over the typical stuff nine times out of ten. The smoke was fairly smooth, with peppery ash. After smoking a couple bowls I was locked to my seat, and that’s all I could ask for. 78/100(AAA) for me.

Budhapest

This strain was my favorite of the bunch. A seemingly indica strain, with an overpowering scent of Kush. The old school stink up your local park kind of Kush scent. Fairly well trimmed, with a nice smooth smoke and white ash. I could smoke this stuff all day, and in my opinion it just barely missed being a quad because of a bit of a rough trim, and a little touch of harshness in the bong. 84/100(AAA+)

Blueberry

Nice sweet/fruity smell coming from the singular, kind of poorly trimmed, roughly 1.5g nug. I’ve had better ’blueberry’ strains, and I’ve had worse. This strain definitely isn’t a standout among the rest of the group, but it’s definitely no slouch. I’d recommend it to friends who like fruity strains, and pass it around in a group but I don’t think I could smoke this stuff every day for very long-term. A little scratchy on the exhale. Enjoyable buzz that seemed to linger for quite a while, so that earns a couple points. 70/100(AAA) in my opinion.

Bubblegum

I didn’t particularly care for this strain. My sample had a kind of earthy smell to it, not the sweet smell you’d expect from bubblegum. Not trimmed very well, pretty harsh to smoke, grayish ash, overall I think it’s just the lowest quality of the bunch. An obvious indica high, that’s unsurprisingly shortlived. Not my cup of tea. 60/100(AA) I’d say.

Purple Swan

The only strain of the bunch which was ’purple’ and if you’ve read previous reviews, you’ll know I have a soft spot for purp, and this one was no different.

Great sweet berry smell typical of the purple kush I’ve been seeing since high school. The trim is great, smooth smoke, nice flavor, strong indica high and some fantastic bag appeal. I love a good purp, and I really enjoyed this one. 82/100(AAA+) also misses the AAAA mark, but this time it’s because of the slightly loose bud structure.

Licon

I enjoyed this strain. It wasn’t a standout by any means, but it had a very nice earthy smell, with a similar taste that was equally appealing. It’s trim could use a bit of work, and the smoke isn’t as smooth as I’d like, but otherwise this strain is pretty great. A seemingly 50/50 strain that has an enjoyable, albeit not super long lasting buzz. I’d rate it 70/100(AAA) similarly to the blueberry, it’s not my cup of tea, but it is some pretty nice quality.

Black Diamond AAA

I’ve tried many different versions of this strain up to this point, and this is not my favorite, but it’s pretty high quality regardless. Pungent gas/fruit smell from buds that are mostly medium-large in the half pound. Some smaller nugs, but that’s to be expected with bulk purchases. Strong indica feeling high that locks you to your couch. I love Black Diamond, and this didn’t disappoint one bit. 80/100(AAA) in my opinion.

Cherry Pie

I didn’t know what to expect ordering this strain. It was a recommendation that I’m pretty happy with. Nice large, dense nugs for the most part. Again, a few smaller stragglers but it’s a HP so I don’t expect anything else. Wonderful fruity smell, hard to describe but it’s kinda like a strawberry that’s kush flavored. Nice high that seems to be very indica dominant. These buds are very well trimmed, the strain seems to be well grown overall, and doesn’t fall very short of being AAAA. 83/100(AAA+) for me.
