Strain Category: Indica Dominant Hybrid (70/30)
Genetics: G13 x OG #18
Nose/Flavour: Has a bit of the classic kush smell with a hint of sour funkiness; oddly, I p...icked up a sweet aftertaste on the exhale. Kind of a neato terp profile honestly.
Trim/Size/Density/Cure: Trim is great, bud size is large (>1g), density is ultra high (probably the densest of the three), and the cure is very nice (high degree of terpene presence).
Lift/Buzz: Kushy; in that it is very relaxing, but I also found it quite spacey.. My thoughts drifted constantly and it was a good destresser.
Potency/Quality: Solid; good strong stone, fairly long duration of effects, great terpene quality. AAA+/AAAA-
Quality: 8.3/10
Value: 7.5/10
GCG
https://i.imgur.com/51YPE5C.jpg
Strain Category: Near Balanced Hybrid (55% indica/45% sativa)
Genetics: God’s Gift x Green Crack
Nose/Flavour: Kind of a musty floral type vibe on the nose, but it has an almost sweet taste on the exhale.
Trim//Size/Density/Cure: Trim is expert level, bud size is large (>1g), density is like a volcanic rock, and the cure is nice (fair degree of terpiness).
Lift/Buzz:: A split between a blazing head high, and a strong body buzz, GCG is decidedly a balanced hybrid. This strain has long been a favourite of mine for daytime/productivity weed, as it is quite energetic.
Potency/Quality: A very nice example of GCG. I hit a lot of dabs, and this still got me flyin’ pretty high. Good duration of effects. Solid AAAA-
Quality: 8.5/10
Value: 8.5/10
Godfather OG
https://i.imgur.com/xPpQa1e.jpg
Strain Category: Slightly Indica Leaning Hybrid (60/40)
Genetics: Bubba Kush x LA Confidential x Granddaddy Purple
Nose/Flavour: Herby, spicy, earthy, with some floral overtones.
Trim//Size/Density/Cure: Trim is good, size is mixed (some >1g, some <), density is very high, and the cure is good (terpenes are present but not overwhelming).
Lift/Buzz:: I found it quite relaxing and intoxicating without being overly sedative. Ideal “turn-off” in the evening weed.
Potency/Quality: Bit of an odd looking cut, with a ton of pistils and whatnot, but it definitely has solid potency. AAA+
Quality: 8/10
Value: Not sure, not currently available on the website.
Conclusions:
This was my first experience with Hornet, and I would definitely be a return customer. All of the bud that I received is well grown, highly dense, and has good potency. Shipping was astoundingly fast, for having come from Montreal. The packaging was excellently discreet and smell-proof. Their customer service and response time is fast and professional. Overall a very pleasant experience, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Hornets Buds to others in the community.

Gorilla Bomb
https://i.imgur.com/QKT5tA1.jpg
Strain Category: Sativa-Dominant Hybrid
Genetics: THC Bomb x Gorilla Glue #4
Nose/Flavour: A mixture of fuel, pine, and earthy tones. Slightly mild out of the bag, but it bouquets out nicely once mulched and vaped.
Trim/Size/Density/Cure: Trim is excellent, bud size is large (>1g), highly dense, and well cured with ample terpene friendliness. Not quite a sticky/dank level of freshness, but not far off.
Lift/Buzz: Fairly balanced hybrid, with a bit of a sativa lean. Strong, long-lasting cerebral high, coupled with a deep relaxation.
Potency/Quality: AAAA-... An excellent example of Gorilla Bomb.
Quality: 8.7/10
Value: 7/10
Jager

Strain Category: Indica Dominant
Genetics: Unknown; rumoured to be Blue Dream x LA Confidential, but it is decidedly an indica dominant strain.
Nose/Flavour: Earthy and fuely, with hints of pine and sweet. The terps on this cut are strong, and it absolutely fills the room with a slightly funky aroma. Taste is great through the vape--makes my taster buds go zang!.
Trim//Size/Density/Cure: Trim is excellent, size is medium (~1g), density is high, and the cure is great… still has nice moisture and dankness.
Lift/Buzz:: Strong indica style medicinal effects; great for pain, sleep, restlessness, appetite stimulation, etc. Heavily intoxicating, and long-lasting.
Potency/Quality: AAAA
Quality: 9/10
Value: 7/10
Monkey Mints
https://i.imgur.com/j60P2O7.jpg
Strain Category: 50/50, Balanced Hybrid
Genetics: Grease Monkey x Mint Chocolate Chip
Nose/Flavour: Spicy/savoury with maybe a hint of gassy sourness (I’m bad with smells, okay, frig off).
Trim//Size/Density/Cure: Trim is good, bud size is medium (~1g), high density, and the cure is very nice--good moisture and smooth through the vape.
Lift/Buzz:: It has a slightly energetic and heady high, and hit me right behind the eyes. Highly intoxicating; probably not the weed to smoke before you go fly helicopters.
Potency/Quality: AAAA
Quality: 8.7/10
Value: 7/10
OG Shark
https://i.imgur.com/ERjCS0g.jpg
Strain Category: Hybrid (dominance is debatable)
Genetics: Unknown, but Blueberry and Diesel strains are suspects.
Nose/Flavour: Hits my sniffer as sweet and sour, or sweet and savoury.
Trim//Size/Density/Cure: Trim is great, bud size is large (>1g), density is like a rock, and the cure is decent, with good moisture and a nice terp profile. Not quite dank, but far from dry.
Lift/Buzz:: I found it fairly psychoactive; my senses were heightened and I was quite spaced out. Great for gaming or zoning out to a flick.
Potency/Quality: AAAA-
Quality: 8.5/10
Value: 7/10
Slurricane
https://i.imgur.com/iEHT1m7.jpg
Strain Category: Near Balanced Hybrid (60/40 Indica/Sativa)
Genetics: Dos-Si-Dos x Purple Punch
Nose/Flavour: Quite possibly the most richly sweet terpene profile I have come across. It smells like a fresh bag of candy, warmed in the sun. It smells so good I’d almost rather eat it. The flavour of the vapour is equally great and it is ultra smooth on the old trout.
Trim//Size/Density/Cure: Trim is just fine, bud size is large (>1g), density is high, and the cure is definitely done right, what with the amount of gorgeous terpenes that this cut is pumping out.
Lift/Buzz: Fantastic. An indica leaning, 60/40 hybrid is my favourite ratio, and the Slurricane does not disappoint. It has just enough sativa lineage to keep me alert despite the heavily intoxicating indica effects, and I wish I had a LB of it. Highly potent, fast-acting, long-lasting medicine. Buy this; be happy--the end.
Potency/Quality: AAAA (I’d consider a plus here, were it massive sticky nugs)
Quality:9 /10
Value: 7/10
Tropicana Cookies
https://i.imgur.com/NJv5kKx.jpg
Strain Category: Sativa Dominant Hybrid (70/30)
Genetics: Girl Scout Cookies x Tangie
Nose/Flavour: Strong lemon citrus, or Lysol type dominant terpenes, with undertones of sweet and sour. The terpenes are absolutely saturating... my fingers reeked from hand mulching, and my tongue tasted like a lemon, post-vape
Trim//Size/Density/Cure: Trim is excellent, bud size is large (>1g), with insane density and a superb cure--face blasting terps.
Lift/Buzz: Definitely sativa dominant, but not anxiety inducing. High energy, high productivity type stuff… excellent day weed, work weed, gym weed, fight weed, hike weed, whathaveyou.
Potency/Quality: AAAA… Top tier; would love to see some colas from this cut and the slurricane.
Quality:9 /10
Value: 7/10
Conclusions:
I have been using Ace for around two years, and have yet to disagree harshly with what they label as “quads” on the website. It may waver by half a point here and there, but the top-tier selection is genuine quality and I am happy to state it. It generally checks all the boxes that I personally look for in terms of consumer level “quads”, and is an appreciable treat vs. my homegrown mids.

Overall rating out of 10:
8/10 (would have been higher if the bud wasn’t compressed)
Ordering & Pricing:
Pack arranged via forum, so I can’t comment on web ordering. Pricing on the website leads me to believe that this MO...M is geared to cater more towards the connoisseur crowd. All non-sale ounces are priced $150 and above, and all are either organic by Love +, or some other variety of upper tier exotic flower.
Communication & Packaging:
I chatted with the folks at Mailbox by DM; they come off as friendly and professional, and their packaging speaks to the same quality. Everything I received is company branded, vacuum sealed, and packaged in a discreet manner. It gives me some degree of comfort to see when a new mom has spent money on branding and packaging, as it likely means they aren’t amateurs with cash flow issues. Only gripe with packaging is the bud got squished as it was only shipped in a bubble mailer as opposed to a box, but that’s not the end of the world for me, and it wasn’t completely pancaked.
Products / Photos:
Hash Plant (Love + Organic Farms):
https://i.imgur.com/P37zGmt.jpg
Rumoured Genetics: Northern Lights #1 x Hash Plant
Dominant Terpenes: Alpha-Pinene, Humulene, Carophyllene
Nose/Flavour: Strong humulene and carophyllene with mild pinenene - earthy, floral and fresh, with piney undertones.
Trim/Size/Density/Cure: Trim is good, size is medium (>1g), density is medium to high (little compressibility), cure is very good, not sticky but highly fresh.
Lift/BuzZ: Hash plant is 90% indica dominant and the effects follow suit:it is highly relaxing, good for pain management, sleep induction, stress mitigation, and a host of other medical benefits.
Potency/Quality: This cut is priced at $185/oz; I’d put the quality at around AAA+ to AAAA-, and would typically expect to see this quality closer to $200/oz.
Quality: 8.5/10
Value: 8/10
Girl Scout Cookies (Love + Organic Farms)
https://i.imgur.com/q1KPnZ2.jpg
Genetics: OG Kush x Durban Poison
Dominant Terpenes: Caryophyllene, Limonene, Linalool
Nose/Flavour: I’ll be honest, I have a bit of a bias toward Love + stuff; I am a big fan. To me, this is how natural terpenes that havent been artificially boosted should smell and taste. You can definitely pick up on the citrus and peppery terpenes but it is all distributed amongst an overall organic plant profile, and they are best expressed when the buds are broken open or mulched. Citrus is the predominant taste in terms of vapour profile.
Trim//Size/Density/Cure: Trim is good, size is medium (>1g), density is medium (slightly compressible), and the cure is very good (again, not sticky, but very fresh).
Lift/Buzz: GSC is a very psychoactive strain for me, I find it heightens the senses and is a favourite for creative endeavors. This particular GSC is quite heady, very spacey, and the buzz is strong and long lasting, which is a quality that I find is practically inherent in high quality organic cannabis… the high just seems to last longer, for whatever reason.
Potency/Quality: Priced at $194/oz, I would guess that MM is evaluating this cut as somewhere near a low quad, and I’d say that’s pretty much on point with this one.
Quality: 8.5/10

PICO Vape Pen - Afghan Kush
https://i.imgur.com/EcFgx2p.jpg
Battery and Cart Manufacturing Quality: The cart has a nice stainless mouthpiece and variable ariflow, it feels weighty and high quality. The battery seems as if its meant to fit a slightly slimmer cart, as the cart body overhangs the battery just slightly (~1mm). The battery is decent quality and has variable voltage (3.3v-4.8v) to control the density of your vapour. Rechargeable via the screw-on USB adapter that is included with the unit.
Flavour: Piney with a citrusy undertone. I’m not typically a fan of distillate carts, but the flavour of this one is quite mild and enjoyable. I don’t get a harsh sense of faux terpenes. Puffs nice and smooth, no coughing or hacking. They call this an ’organic’ distillate, which could mean any number of things, but it does come off less artificial tasting than many of the carts I’ve had.
Lift/Buzz: Good anxiety reliever; I find afghan very relaxing and quite heavily intoxicating. Because this is distillate, it never hits me quite as hard as a full spectrum extract in terms of sedation, but it is still highly relaxing, so its very useful in its way.
Potency/Quality: 87% THC, but again, it is distillate, so the high isn’t as trainwrecking as a full spectrum extract. I can puff on it and still function as a human in the world.
Overall: 8/10… again, not a cart guy, not a distillate guy, but I enjoyed this one!
ChronicCandy Gummies (150mg) - No Pic, Apologies.
Flavour: These tasted amazing for cannabis gummies; made me question if they were edibles at all, lol. Just like candy.
Texture: Proper gummy.
Potency of Effects: 75mg at a time, and each time I had a noticeable extra body stone that was nice and chill.
Duration of Effects: A few hrs probably.
Incentive for Customers:
Free ship over $99, regular sales (currently $185/oz Love + marked down to $100/oz), discount codes, affiliate program.
Conclusions:
Overall, I very much enjoyed my first experience with Mailbox Marijuana. I legitimately get the professional vibe from these folks. I am not tempted as a grower very often to buy weed, but seeing Love + at $100/oz is highly alluring.

Ordering & Pricing:
This order was arranged via discord, but the website is standard painless ecommerce. Pricing for these strains ranges from $100-$130 per half ounce, which is at the upper end of Th...e Green Ace’s pricing scheme. For the quality of cannabis I received, I hardly bat an eye at those prices.
Communication & Packaging:
Interactions with Ace are professional, prompt and polite. They are quick to respond, have a good knowledge base of their product, and will take the time to help you find the medication you seek. Packaging is upper-echelon discreet: no smells or red flags.

Purple Space Cookies (Gas Demon):
https://i.imgur.com/sK1FF3y.jpg
Genetics: Durban Poison x Girl Scout Cookies
Nose/Flavour: The taste and smell are both highly floral with sweet undertones; a bit like fresh cut flowers. By far the best smelling and tasting cut of this strain that I have personally had.
Trim/Size/Density/Cure: Sizes ranged from popcorn to over a gram. Fluffy buds, lacking density. Cure is good, not quite sticky but not far gone. Trim is good on most buds, but scrappy on a couple.
Lift/BuzZ: This is a highly psychoactive strain, I find it heightens the senses and spaces my brain out to the planet mars. Very heady and definitely sativa dominant Careful of anxiety with this one, it’s strong.
Potency/Quality: Easily the highest quality PSC I have had to date. Small bowls go a long way.
Overall: AAAA-
Gelato #33 (Gas Demon):
https://i.imgur.com/C4EowDI.jpg
Genetics: Thin Mint GSC x Sunset Sherbet
Nose/Flavour: Gassy, ice creamy, sweet, dank.. Terpene city: population me… Delectable.
Trim//Size/Density/Cure: Massive, 5g, fox-tailed beauty of a bud took up most of the quarter. Density is high. Trim is good. Cure is dank, sticky, and sexy as all hell.
Lift/Buzz: Gelato is almost always decent, and I’ve had some particularly nice examples, but this is step up altogether from those. I got squinty-eyed, giggly faced, off-balance, high-school level stoned off of my first sampling of this cut. To put it in perspective: I dab rosin all day everyday, for me to get this stoned from flower is really saying something.
Potency/Quality: Potency is chart-topping, and the quality is probably amongst the top 3 cuts I have ever had the pleasure to smoke.
Overall: AAAA+. (It’s my party, cry if you want to.)
Blackberry Cookies (Gas Demon):
https://i.imgur.com/EnYGWoH.jpg
Genetics: Black Domina x Raspberry Cough
Flavour/Nose: Initially, I found the terp profile both piney and gassy, but once I broke down a bud, I instantly got hit with the berry notes. The flavour is just stellar, and the medley of aforementioned profiles is highly appealing to my palate. It is ultra pungent, and the smell permeated the room the second I cracked into the can.
Trim/Cure/Size/Density: Trim is excellent, density is very high, size ranges from popcorn to over 1g, and the cure is on point and sticky toward the center.
Lift/Buzz: Hybridized buzz with an indica slant. I found it heavily psychoactive with a very buzzy head sensation, fairly relaxing (if a tad sedating), and highly intoxicating. I wouldn’t even think about driving after smoking this.
Potency/Quality: Fantastic in both regards; top-shelf cannabis.
Overall: AAAA.
Blue God (Gas Demon):
https://i.imgur.com/H8WLXhD.jpg
Genetics: God Bud x Blueberry
Flavour/Nose: Very pungent detergenty/varnishy terpene profile, with sweet and floral undertones. The flavour is almost overwhelming, it has an aftertaste duration similar to drinking a Belgian beer.
Trim/Cure/Size/Density: Golf Ball sized buds of galactic density, cure is damn near perfect; dank, squishy and sticky at the center. Trim is excellent.
Lift/Buzz: Powerfully and deeply relaxing, I could feel all the tension in my body ease right off of the first exhale. Quite heavily sedating; not sleepy per se, but my limbs began to feel as though gravity had doubled… couch lock is an understatement: furniture paralysis may be more appropriate.
Potency/Quality: I must smoke too many mids or something because this one kicked my ass too. For me, it’s a quad all day, and it takes very little of this bud to get highly medicated for a long time.
Overall: AAAA.
Incentive for Customers:
Free ship over $149, frequent sales and discounts, Ace Bucks rewards/points program.
Conclusions:
Flack is expected anytime one rates everything quad, but it is what it is. These are top tier cannabis strains, and I’m not going to nitpick to satisfy the purists and snobs. Buy it, try it, know it. :D

Overall rating out of 10:
7.5/10
Ordering & Pricing:
This pack was arranged via Discord, so I cannot speak to the order process, however, the website looks to be fairly straightforward. Quints pricing varies pretty widely, as with most... MOMS, but there appears to be at least one option at every budget level currently.
Communication & Packaging:
Communication is prompt, professional, and polite; they seem like good people, and they are responsive to queries and advice. Packaging was really good; multiple vacuum sealed scent, and visible barriers. Not a huge fan of the single-use, paper/mylar combo sample bags, but I completely understand the economics of it.
Products / Photos:
Lemon Kush:
https://i.imgur.com/KVF721L.jpg
Genetics: Master Kush x Lemon Joy
Nose/Flavour: My sample was a tad muted but I definitely got hints of the citrusy/lemony/kushiness… Almost a bit of spice too; might just be my nose.
Trim/Size/Density/Cure: Trim is okay, sample buds were tiny, very dry, due to what I suspect is age… This bud has a bit of an old look to it (slightly discoloured/lightly browned in spots)
Lift/BuzZ: Proper kushy buzz, relaxing and fairly balanced between a body and head high.
Potency/Quality: Quints lists it as AAA, and I might say AAA- or AA+, but they are pretty close, regardless, at $80oz, it’s one of the best deals I’ve seen lately for mids.
Overall: 7/10. For value seekers, this is a good buy if you can handle the bud being a little older, and I noticed no problems with it beyond its age and relative dryness.
Special Kush #1:
https://i.imgur.com/vb6bJA7.jpg
Genetics: OG Afghani/Pakistani Origins, from the Hindu Kush Mountain Region
Nose/Flavour: Spicy/herby… Touch of sage.
Trim//Size/Density/Cure: Bud size was popcorn (<1g), density was medium, trim was a bit scrappy, the bud was pretty dry and the trichs pretty oxidized looking: my feeling is that this was older stock as well.
Lift/Buzz: Initial hit feels quite heady but it morphs into a couch-lockey body buzz fairly quickly.
Potency/Quality: This strain isn’t currently listed for sale on the Quints website, but I’d probably put it around AAA potency.
Overall: 7/10
Mandarin Kush:
https://i.imgur.com/jngAPOI.jpg
Genetics: OG Kush x Master Kush
Flavour/Nose: The teriyaki of weed. It has a really unusual sweet and sour thing going on, both in taste and smell.
Trim/Cure/Size/Density: Trim is great, size was popcorn (<1g), dense as a neutron star (very high density), and the cure is very good, still nice and sticky on the inside.
Lift/Buzz: It’s really hard to not just say “kushy effects,” cause that’s really what they are: calming, relaxing, anti-anxiety… Sort of a tingly body buzz that ran all the way down through the feet.
Potency/Quality: Quints calls this a quad, and I’d say that’s pretty close. There’s gonna be a few guys who argue it’s not dank enough or large enough buds to be a true quad, but opinions are like assholes, and I personally reserve the top of the top for a AAAA+ rating, which to date, I don’t think I have ever given out. Nit picking aside, the quality is definitely at the upper’ish-end of cannabis.
Overall: 8.5/10
Blue Kush Shatter (Sugar):
https://i.imgur.com/zLk9rtt.jpg
Genetics: Blueberry x OG Kush
Flavour/Nose: The terpenes are suspiciously strong, sweet and sticky. My initial assessment was that terpenes had been added back to the concentrate at some point, but Quints says that is not the case to their knowledge, so perhaps they are legitimate.
Colour/Consistency: Pale amber, but not in a way that I am concerned it has been CRC filtered (colour corrected), I don’t believe it has. Consistency is sappy sugar at room temp. Easy to work with and dab.
Lift/Buzz: Smalls dabs are nice and relaxing, large ones rip holes in spacetime.
Potency/Quality: Surprisingly strong… I took a big ass dab as my first taste and it kicked my ass for a good 15 or 20 mins, dab sweats and disorientation. Good stuff.
Overall: 8.3/10
Incentive for Customers:
Coupon codes, free-ship over $150, etc.
Conclusions:
It’s early days, and I think given a little bit of time, the issues with sourcing older cuts will subside, but Quints definitely has some connects for higher quality bud and decent concentrates, and if they are willing to offer up $80 ounces and hit each budget tier, then there will certainly be things worth watching their website for.

Ordering & Pricing:
This pack was arranged via discord, so I cannot speak to ordering. BB’s pricing at the surface seems very good. However, if you dig a bit deeper, you will realise that there ar...e hits and misses going on among their strains. The zedd is priced at $99/oz and is the same price as the Purple OG, but they are NOWHERE close to the same in quality. Zedd is levels superior to the OG. So what does that mean for the consumer? It means your order is a complete gamble, because these prices do not reflect the actual quality of the buds. It also means that gamble could pay off big, as in the case of the Zedd, but I wouldn’t want to be at the losing end of that gamble, because when we consider one strain is literally twice as good as another, yet priced the same, there are bound to be some upset customers. Additionally, the OG’s are priced at $99/oz to $1400/lb, and the Zedd is priced at $99/oz to $1500/lb--the Zedd goes UP in price for bulk?! How’s that work guys?
Communication & Packaging:
Communication and CS with BB is very good, they have been polite, professional and prompt. Packaging was discreet and smellproof. The sample bags had no branding and the strain names simply sharpied on, but it’s early days.
Products / Photos:
Note: I have a strong belief that my blue dream and melon nuken samples were crossbagged, as the blue dream sample looks and smells exactly like three other nuken cuts I have on hand, and the nuken sample smells a whole lot like Blue Dream. I could be wrong, but I’ll eat my shoe if I am. For the purpose of review, I went with my gut and not BB labels, so the blue dream labelled bag was reviewed as nuken, and vice versa.
J-27:
https://i.imgur.com/CEzxYUn.jpg
Genetics: Unknown
Nose/Flavour: Spicy/peppery and earthy.
Trim/Size/Density/Cure: Trim is a tad scrappy, size is small (<0.5g), density is medium-high, cure and humidity is good, has squish but not dank.
Lift/BuzZ: Good wake and bake weed; boost of energy, clear headed, minimal body buzz. Functional high.
Potency/Quality: The stone was surprisingly nice, albeit a tad short in duration. I’d probably say AA to AA+ in terms of potency.
Overall: 6/10
Willy Wonka:
https://i.imgur.com/uhGGcuA.jpg
Genetics: Chocolate Trip x Cinderella 99
Nose/Flavour: Best way I can think to describe these terps is organically sweet. There’s none of that artificial sharpness to it. Quite nice.
Trim//Size/Density/Cure: Trim is okay, size is small (<0.5g), density is medium, cure is good, not dank but has a nice consistency when broken apart.
Lift/Buzz: I find this buzz quite sativa leaning and heady, but it is more psychoactive and less clear headed than the J-27… more daydreamy.
Potency/Quality: Again, like the J-27, the high is just nice, it isn’t a rocketship, and the effects are at the shorter end of duration. AA to AA+... Very similar quality to the J-27, but I prefer this buzz.
Overall: 6.3/10
Blue Dream (AKA Azure Haze):
https://i.imgur.com/akEEN7N.jpg
Genetics: Blueberry x Haze
Flavour/Nose: Sweetly peppery.
Trim//Size/Density: Trim is good, buds are tiny, density is medium, cure is alright.
Lift/Buzz: Blue Dream has a great buzz, unfortunately this isn’t great BD. It has the right buzz, its heady and has an energetic appeal, but it is quite weak and short lived. That said, it’s priced at $99oz, and at THAT price, there is definitely value here, because it isn’t BAD weed by any means, just don’t expect to be blown away.
Potency/Quality: AA.
Overall: 5/10
Melon Nuken:
https://i.imgur.com/lAcIdtN.jpg
Genetics: Nuken x Melon Kush
Flavour/Nose: Classic nuken terps, but I didn’t pick up much in the vein of melon.
Trim//Size/Density: Trim is good, size is smalls (<0.5g), density is high, and the cure is nice--interior of the buds are nice and fresh.
Lift/Buzz: Nuken is another psychoactive one for me; it’s one of the strains I like for listening to music or playing video games as I seem to zone in a bit deeper. This cross of nuken has a nice dose of relaxation effects as well, probably due to the kush genetics.
Potency/Quality: AA+ to AAA-, and I think $109/oz is a pretty good value for this quality.
Overall: 7/10
Purple OG Kush:
https://i.imgur.com/xmf7bm8.jpg
Genetics: OG Kush x Purple Kush
Nose/Flavour: Bit skunky and fuely, but it is pretty muted, the taste is mild and the smell is only prevalent when the buds are milled up.
Trim//Size/Density/Cure: Trim is a bit scrappy, size is small (<0.5g), density is medium-high, humidity is approaching dry. :
Lift/Buzz: Proper kush stone, relaxing and slightly sedative.
Potency/Quality: Not great, a top example of this strain should knock you on your ass, I found the buzz very mild and short acting. Even at $99/oz, I’d be hard pressed to buy this, especially when you can get twice the quality for the same price.
Overall: 4.5/10
White Widow:
https://i.imgur.com/dWDnsrF.jpg
Genetics: Brazilian Sativa x South Indian Indica
Nose/Flavour: Strong skunky and piney terps.
Trim//Size/Density/Cure: Trim is hard to comment on as most of the buds were smashed up pretty good, size is tiny, density is medium-high, and the humidity is again approaching dry.
Lift/Buzz: WW is one of my all-time favourite hybrid strains. I experience the kind of stone I remember from when I was young; droopy eyes, dopey brain, giggles, etc.
Potency/Quality: A step up from the previous strains, definitely a better quality in terms of terp quality and potency. I think I can reasonably call this AAA potency, but it loses points for its scrappy appearance and beat up buds.
Overall: 7/10
Zedd:
https://i.imgur.com/G2NJ3ja.jpg
Genetics: 100% Pure Indica (purportedly)
Nose/Flavour: Zedd has a smooth, naturally sweet/perfumey/floral nose and tongue.
Trim//Size/Density/Cure: Trim is excellent, size is popcorn (<1g), density is medium-high, and it has good moisture content-not dank, but probably the closest to dank of any of the strains I received.
Lift/Buzz: Heavily sedative; beyond couchlock… Bedlock. For insomniacs, look no further.
Potency/Quality: I’d say it’s an easy AAA+, and at $99oz, it’s by far the best value among all the strains I tried from BB.
Overall: 8.1/10
Incentive for Customers:
Free ship over $150, competitive (but random) pricing.
Conclusions:
Firstly, I’d like to thank Boxed Buds for their kind giveaways to the community via discord recently, they certainly seem determined to make waves. I feel like this company is going hard at being a mid-level, budget-end, bulk provider, and I think to that end they are doing a great job in terms of pricing. That said, they definitely need to work on their quality recognition, as I could definitely see some headaches down the line with respect to customers upset that they paid the same or similar prices for wildly differing quality.

https://i.imgur.com/G2NJ3ja.jpg

8/10
Ordering & Pricing:
This pack was arranged via email, so I cannot comment on the web order process, but I do visit each site prior to reviewing and can at least say that the website is well orga...nized, clean and fast. In addition to the THC products (flowers and concentrates), they have a good collection of creams and balms, as well as some CBD products. Flower is priced between $150 at the low end, to $200 at the high end, with many of the strains ringing it at the $150oz price point.
Communication & Packaging:
Communication:
I had a bit of trouble with emails from Sparks getting filtered into my spam folder via gmail, so just be careful of that if you are emailing them or making an order, be sure to check spam folders if it feels like you haven’t received a response. Other than that issue, Sparks is professional and polite by email, and I had absolutely zero issues in that department.
Packaging:
Shipping packaging was good, no smells or obviousness. The branding is low key and attractive, though the small plastic containers I received flower samples in are really bad for product drying, pretty much all of my samples were bone dry after a week. I daresay mylar bags have better longevity with respect to humidity The vape pens and packaging are all high-end retail styles.
Products / Photos:
It’s obvious that the flower samples sent to me were not the prime examples of those cuts; I would expect that anyone buying the higher end strains from Sparks are likely to receive much larger buds than I did for the purpose of a sample review, so please bear that in mind when reading my comments about the smaller bud sizes. That said, if anyone orders a $200oz from these cats and receives nothing but popcorn, I want to hear about it. :)
Since all of these strains were dry by the time of writing this review, I’ll refrain from talking about cure and vapour quality (all vapour was slightly harsh due to drying).
Green Crack:
https://i.imgur.com/MFwGi2q.jpg
---
Genetics: Skunk #1 x Afghani
Nose/Flavour: Skunky and savoury, both nose and tongue.
Trim/Size/Density: Trim was okay, nugs were small (<0.5g) and they were highly dense little green crack rocks.
Lift/BuzZ: The buzz of this strain is built right into it’s moniker. :D
Potency/Quality: Not the most potent green crack I’ve ever had and the buds are on the tiny side, but its a solid stone, and at $150oz, I’d say it’s a good value.
Overall: 6.5/10
Mimosa:
https://i.imgur.com/rXxFYx5.jpg
---
Genetics: Purple Punch x Clementine
Nose/Flavour: I find the terp quality of Mimosa hard to describe, its sweet and rich and complex… definitely the champagne of cannabis terps.
Trim//Size/Density: Trim is good, size is small (<0.5g), density is medium.
Lift/Buzz: Great uplifting buzz: clear headed energy booster with a bonus happy stone. Excellent daytime use weed.
Potency/Quality: It’s definitely nice mimosa. Sparks and Rec has it marked as a $200oz quad, and I wish I had seen some larger bud examples so I could better judge that. In terms of aesthetics, it’s probably close to quad with all that snowiness, but I think I’ll only go as high as a AAA+, as I think most mimosa fans won’t find this to be quad potency, and everyone will desire larger buds. This is more of a looker and less of a performer in my opinion--the popstar of strains, if you will.
Overall: 8/10
Dosi Pie
https://i.imgur.com/dMW5Kdt.jpg
---
Genetics: Dos-Si-Dos x Cherry Pie
Flavour/Nose: Nose is sort of a skunky/spicy type deal, but I find the taste quite earthy/musty.
Trim//Size/Density: Trim is good, size was popcorn (>0.5g but <1g), density is medium-high.
Lift/Buzz: Loved the buzz on this one, it’s very spacey and psychoactive, and sort of reminds me of a good girl scout cookies buzz. Fun for activities.
Potency/Quality: Sparks puts this one at AAAA, and I’d say they are maybe a bit high. If I purchased this cut, and it came as larger buds, was properly cured and sticky, then I would agree that it is a quad. It’s terpy, it has a potent, long-lasting stone, and it has good aesthetic appeal, but as far as what I received, again, primarily due to the small bud size, I will go only as high as AAA+ to AAAA-.
Overall: 8.6/10
Blue Diamond:

Genetics: BioQueen Genetics Proprietary (exact genetics unknown/unreleased)
Flavour/Nose: Piney with a hint of varnish.
Trim//Size/Density: Trim is good, size is popcornish (~1g), density is medium-high.
Lift/Buzz: Daydreamy as all hell. I caught myself spacing out so many times that it just became funny after a while. In my opinion, this one would make a great anxiety reliever.
Potency/Quality: Listed by Sparks as AAAA, and were I to receive large, well cured nugs in a purchase order, then I would agree and be satisfied. As is, AAA+..
Overall: 8.2/10
Purple Duke Nukem::
https://i.imgur.com/mZoihWJ.jpg
---
Genetics: Chernobyl x Chemmando x Something Purple?
Nose/Flavour: Classic DN musty pine nose, and a super tasty creamy pine flavour. Seriously one of the best tasting and smoothest strains I’ve had in the past while.
Trim//Size/Density: Trim is good, size is popcorn (>0.5g but <1g), density is medium.
Lift/Buzz: I can definitely feel the caffeiney duke genetics, it makes my head race a bit, but there’s more pronounced body buzz, so that must be where the purple comes in.
Potency/Quality: Nice: It’s a looker, a smeller and a taster. IMO this one is a little nicer than the Blue Diamond, yet priced lower on Sparks website. Sparks lists this as quad, and again, if it were large buds or colas at a perfect cure, then yes, I’d say this is probably a quad, but as far as what I received, the bud size would immediately remove it from the running for that rating. I’m happy to call this a high trip and also say that at $175oz, it’s probably the best value among Sparks top-tier.
Overall: 8.4/10
Watermelon Zkittles::
https://i.imgur.com/eVsNPrX.jpg
---
Genetics: Watermelon x Zkittles (duh)
Nose/Flavour: Terps for days, sweet and fruity on the nose and in the vape. This and the nukem were my favourites in terms of terps.
Trim//Size/Density: Trim is good, size is popcorn (>0.5g but <1g), density is medium-high.
Lift/Buzz: Indica dominant, highly sedative, maybe a tad couchlockey. Good night cap.
Potency/Quality: Sparks doesn’t specify a rating but it is priced the same as the other “quads” in this review ($200oz). At the risk of sounding like a broken record, I’ll say that if the buds were larger and the cure fresh, then it would be getting close to a true quad, but as is, AAA+ to AAAA-.

NOTE: before reading this section, know that I am not a Cart or CBD expert of any variety, so please take the following with a grain of salt:
Country Syrup Full Spectrum Honey Oil (CO2 Extracted) & B-650 Battery:
https://i.imgur.com/DNi3coR.jpg
---
Packaging: Fancy retail packaging; the battery and cart were packaged separately, and the cart box has a short break down of content percentages, though I’d like to see more detail within that breakdown (“other” should never be an acceptable ingredient listing). Comes with a usb charger.
Flavour: The box lists the flavour as Sour Apple, with a terpene content of 3%. My lamentation is that these are not natural terpenes, and I am not a fan of food grade terpenes in my cannabis products. It tastes nice, I can’t completely complain, but its not natural tasting, and that bothers me.
Viscosity: It has a very low viscosity, I can set it on the table for a minute and it completely slides sideways, pick it up and it falls back just as fast.
Vapour Quality: Very smooth.
Lift/Buzz/Potency: I find this cart has a nice smooth buzz.. It’s potent like doing dabs, but without the rocketship, so there’s none of that blasting upward or crashing down--smoother around the edges. It is certainly a hybrid buzz, maybe even a little sativa leaning, as I felt a bit of an anxiety after a few too many puffs.
Performance: Smooth, battery is natively tuned to a really nice voltage/wattage/temp, and it seems to run forever.
Form Factor/Carriability: I dig this style of pen. I know everybody is carrying them fancy click in magnetic deals, but I still dig the feel of a well built pen vape. It fits in most of my jacket pockets, its discreet and produces clouds quickly. Both the battery and cart feel very well made and the battery seems better quality than your average cheap chinese 510 batt, although it would have been nice to have a voltage control on this one. Despite having no voltage control, the hits are big and smooth, so I guess it hardly matters.
Diamond Distillates Pen: Birthday Cake Kush:
https://i.imgur.com/vFJbKmI.jpg
---
Packaging: This pen comes in a fancy little magnetic box with a charger. One thing I really don’t like is not seeing a breakdown of the cart contents on the packaging, it states that it is 92.9% and solvent free, but beyond that is anybody’s guess. In the age of vape scares and dangerous thinning agents, an ingredients breakdown is a MUST.
Flavour: I still get a falsely sweet flavour from this pen that I suspect is a cheap food grade terp to improve its flavour profile, and while it is a little more subtle than the country syrup pen, it’s still there, it’s not my thing, and I’d rather see manufacturers stop adding it.
Viscosity: This cart is fully viscous, you can leave it upside down for 5 minutes and it doesn’t move, that said, I haven’t had any clogging issues.
Vapour Quality: Very smooth.
Lift/Buzz/Potency: This one IS a rocketship. The first time I ripped this pen, it ripped my face off and I didn’t know who I was for about 45 seconds. It’s seriously potent at first, but it does taper back pretty good after 15 minutes or so.
Performance: Great; the variable voltage on the bottom of the pen seems to work well, and I can get big clouds or modest puffs. Battery life seems more than adequate for all day use out at an event.
Form Factor/Carriability: Slightly lighter and more narrow than the country syrup pen. That fact might appeal to some-I prefer the build quality and feel of the CS pen, even though it’s slightly larger/heavier. I do prefer having the variable voltage over not, however.
Focus CBD Disposable Vape Pen: Fuji Apple Strawberry::
https://i.imgur.com/AgwI2DK.jpg
---
Packaging: Retail quality; magnetic box, shiny gold lettering-fancy fancy.
Flavour: Fuji Apple Strawberry, I guess? Honestly, the box states that the flavours are “all natural organic cannabis terpenes,” but in 20 years, I have yet to try any fuji apple strawberry cannabis strains, let alone ones that taste this ridiculously sweet. So, I’ll just go ahead and call that out as bullshit. The flavour is nice, but it’s falsely sweet imo. To me it tastes how nic vapes smell.
Viscosity: Low, moves around inside the cart as I spin it.
Vapour Quality: Smooth.
Feels: I’m not a regular CBD user, and I don’t completely understand the entourage effect that occurs between THC and CBD, but I feel like the CBD isolate somehow enhances my THC stone. Used alone, the CBD pen gives me a nice relaxed feeling, but used in conjunction with THC, I get more pronounced effects from the strains I’m vaping on.
Performance: Fantastic. Pick it up, give it a pull, put it down.. The inhalation activator works really well.
Form Factor/Carriability: Compact; about 3.5” tall, which is a good inch and a half shorter than most vape pens. Very sturdy and well built. I love the feel of this little pen, I wish I had ten just like it for THC.
Focus CBD Tincture: 1000mg::
https://i.imgur.com/hjJvFFD.jpg
---
Viscosity: Like a thin cough syrup.
Taste: Has a very faint taste of the coconut MCT oil.
Effects: Hopefully something…. Anything.
What else does one say about a CBD Tincture?.
Incentive for Customers:
There are a few strains listed as on sale, but other than that, I could see no indication of incentives or referral programs on the immediate website.
Conclusions:
At the high end, sparks and rec has some nice bud on offer, and it is generally priced near where it should be. That said, a paying customer would certainly be expecting larger buds than I received above the $175 price range. With respect to their sample packaging, I might suggest switching to sealed mylar bags or include small humidity packs. The vape pens and extracts are fairly high quality, but are priced toward the higher end of the industry for what they are, and could use greater transparency in terms of ingredients listings. Overall, I didn’t receive anything from Sparks that I wouldn’t share with a friend, and that’s a good thing. It appears that they know how to choose good clean flower and price it accordingly, and that is half the battle won. Next test is the dreaded Reddit ranting, maniacal customer. :)

Ordering & Pricing:
This was not a website order, and I cannot comment on that process, though looking over the website gives me the sense that it is straightforward ecommerce. Website is fairly clean a...nd fast; can’t seem to lock it up clicking links like a madman.
Communication & Packaging:
Low Price Bud’s communication has been very good for me, they are quick to respond, polite and professional to deal with. Their shipping packaging as well as their branded packaging is excellent.
Products / Photos:
I always let the photos speak to the visual quality of the buds, so please excuse the lack of verbal description.
Extras:
Pack of papers which I am unlikely to use, and a really decent plastic compartment grinder combo.
Key Lime Pie:
https://i.imgur.com/nvtIRZs.jpg
---
Genetics: KLP is a phenotype of Girl Scout Cookies.
Nose/Flavour: All lime, all the time; I get a bit of pine sol/lemon pledge too, but it’s predominantly citrus. The terpiness carries through in the flavour and it lasts a while too, it doesn’t completely vape off on the first pull like some strains do.
Trim/Cure/Size/Density: Trim isn’t awful, but it’s definitely a bit scrappy. The cure was okay, not dry, but not dank (little squish, some crunch). Bud size is medium (>1g), and the density is high.
Lift/BuzZ: Very heady; the Girl Scout Cookies genetics are very evident, and I found the high very spacey and psychoactive. Loved this strain for gaming and what not.
Potency/Quality: LPB has this listed as AAA, and I’d maybe drop that to AAA- due to the less than perfect cure and scrappy trim. The potency itself is nice though, good high and good duration.
Vapour Quality: Fairly smooth and tasty. No burn or lingering dryness.

Nose/Flavour: I can’t really think of anything to compare it to other than Nuken. This strain, to me, smells and tastes a whole lot like Nuken.
Trim/Cure/Size/Density: Trim is excellent, cure is nice (not dank, but definitely some squish/bounce), I received one large nug that was over 2.5g, and its density is medium-high.
Lift/Buzz: Definitely a sativa high; very cerebral but more clear headed than the KLP, also a tad more energetic--I experienced a bit of an energy boost.
Potency/Quality: LPB lists this one at AAA+, and I concur--solid potency, good terp content, good cure, and larger than average bud size.
Vapour Quality: Got a little bit of a dry throat from this one, but nothing terrible.

Trim/Cure/Size/Density: Trim is great, cure is good (lots of squish/bounce, not quite dank but close), size is medium (>1g), and the density is medium-high.
Lift/Buzz: Cool buzz on this one, the indica effects are strong but not comatosing, they are deeply relaxing, and it’s paired with a very spacey/daydreamy head stone. Ideal evening movie watching type stuff.
Potency/Quality: LPD lists this at AAA, and I agree.

Flavour/Nose: Very uniquely appealing nose to this strain; it’s has a sweet/peppery/skunky type thing happening. I found the flava flave predominantly peppery and skunky.
Trim/Cure/Size/Density: Trim is good, cure is okay (no squish left but not bone dry), bud size is medium (>1g), and the density is fairly high.
Lift/Buzz: This is supposedly a balanced 50/50, hybrid strain, but for me it felt slightly more indica leaning. I felt relaxingly sedated; it has pain relief and anti-anxiety properties, and it might do well for sleep with some people. Definitely one of the more enjoyable buzzes I’ve had lately.
Potency/Quality: LPB has this strain listed as only AAA, and I feel like they are perhaps aiming a little low there. IMO, it is the most visually appealing of the bunch, and perhaps the most frosty. Additionally, this strain has a heavy creeping component to it’s high, so while I initially judged it the same as LPD, as the stone came on stronger, my opinion changed. I must confess though, I do have a bias towards creeper weed, I love it. I digress, I’d rate this cannabis at AAA+ quality, with the qualification that it may be slightly less dank than some might prefer at that level.
Vapour Quality: Smooth and flavourful; no noticeable burn or lingering dry mouth/throat.
Overall: 8/10

Conclusions:
Typically I get nervous with any company that has implications of discount pricing built right into its moniker, as it all too often equates to top-down corner cutting that has an adverse effect on product quality. Thankfully, I do not think that is the case with LowPriceBud, or at least, not above the $170/oz mark, as I didn’t receive anything priced below that. That being said, I generally request that MOMs do not send me anything below the AAA mark, as I am not a budget-end consumer nor a qualified budget reviewer. My humble thanks to LowPriceBud for providing a few small samples for review, and I can confirm that at least four of their strains are rated and priced accordingly. :D
LowPriceBud
Overall rating out of 10:
7.7/10

Overall: 7/10

Genetics: Pineapple Kush x Godbud
Overall: 8.2/10

Genetics: Pre-98 Bubba X Space Queen
Flavour/Nose: Another very citrusy, heavy lemon pledge type terp, both in terms of taste and smell.
Vapour Quality: Smooth trip through flavourtown.
Overall: 7.5/10
