I was on a hunt for affordable edibles, and found these Mary’s Medible gummies at KushStation.

Most gummy brands are 80-200mg or so THC per package, and these contain 300mg! At $20 a pack, they’re on the better end of mg/price ratio.

The downside to these gummies is that they are... 75mg per piece. Usually 25mg or so is all it takes for me to get the functional buzz I’m looking for. In my case, I didn’t mind cutting each gummy into a few pieces if it saved some cash. I did end up eating an entire gummy once or twice, but usually I’d just cut off the head and start with that for a dose. Cutting each gummy into approximate 3rds meant 12 x 25mg doses for $20. That’s a good deal, in my opinion.

I tried both indica and sativa varieties, and found I had a preference for the indica ones. As a smoker, I enjoy both indica and sativa, so I don’t think this preference was based on my expectations. The indica gummies were more functional in my experience, more of a pleasant euphoria. Comparatively, I felt like the sativa ones just made me a bit dumb.

I’d definitely order these edibles again, but I’d stick to the Indica ones.

Ordered an ounce of DJ Short Blueberry and some of their XXX OG and Death Bubba Budders. Happy with everything in the order. The Blueberry nugs are the chunkiest I’ve had recently. They’re huge! I got it on sale around $116/oz and am impressed despite the low price. Both bud...ders vape clean. I switch back and forth between the two. Death Bubba might be slightly more potent but XXX OG tastes better. Hard to really say on potency because I almost always end up enjoying both back to back. AAA(+) is a fair grading. More terps and they’d be top shelf across the board.

Watermelon (AAAA)

High quality weed with a matching high price tag. I got this 20% off for Black Friday which helped entice me to make the purchase.

Smell is wonderful, like sweet watermelon bubblegum. I was a little disappointed that the taste didn’t translate over from this delicious aroma. I tried the Island Sweet Skunk from PG which was considerably cheaper, with better flavor on the exhale.

I ordered 7g and received this massive 4.6g nug with some smalls to round it out. I did find a single, mature/developed seed in one of these smaller nugs. Surprising, but not the end of the world.

I’d describe the effects more along the lines of Hybrid than Indica. I can smoke this Watermelon all day and still function.

Wedding Cake Shatter

Another item that made it into my Black Friday order because it was 30% off. I ordered 7g which felt a little risky given it was my first time trying their shatter. Given their reputation, and the fact that at the time they only had this one strain of shatter available, I figured they had tried it themselves and would stand by the quality. Turns out it was a good buy :) It has an enjoyable Wedding Cake flavor and vapes clean in my crucible cup v4. I’ve been getting the best flavor around 400F, but usually bump the temperature up a little higher for the final hit.

Nice smoke, just a tad bit dry. Hybrid high, potent, but more functional for me than the Master Kush. Light salt and pepper ash. Smell reminds me of lambsbread I’ve had before.

Purple Punch

Hybrid effects felt less laze-inducing than the Master Kush. Gentle sweet lavender-ish aroma. Trim is slightly loose but nugs still have bag appeal. Solid trips.

This is one of the budget strains at BCCB. Quality reminds me of Rockstar I tried from Sunset at $100oz. Darker ash than the other strains from this order. Smoke is smooth. Medium effects. Personally I’d go for the Master Kush given the choice, but this one is good if you’re looking for bulk.

Bag Appeal: Perfectly trimmed, looks great. I got a variety of bud sizes, from very small pieces up to the largest,... which is what I included a picture of.

Smell: Soft and sweet, very pleasant. My friend thought it smelled like mango when I showed it off.

Burn: Extremely smooth smoke, even big hits are soft on the lungs. Ash is light grey.

Effects: High takes 15 minutes to settle in. It has a slight haziness but didn’t make me stupid. I’m not experiencing much burnout, which makes it great for

daytime.

Shipping: I ordered Friday, but it wasn’t shipped out until Sunday night. Arrived for me in Quebec Thursday. Pretty standard wait considering I placed order just before the weekend. Package was boxed inside compostable envelope, very discreet and professional.

Incentive: Points for review, but I like to review everything I order, whether or not there’s a bonus.

Out of the three strains I tried (Hindu Kush, Rockstar 2, Wedding Cake) this was my favorite. Even though the Wedding Cake had better bag appeal, the sof...t smoke from this Rockstar 2 was the most enjoyable for me. When I broke up the nug to grind it, the nose became stronger and I could see a bunch of protected trichomes inside. For $100oz, it’s worth it. I’d grade it at AAA-

Master Kush Live Resin

Usually I vape concentrates from a YoCan Evolv pen, but I’ve been enjoying rubbing some of this Master Kush Live Resin on rolling papers to make extra potent joints. This stuff is pretty ’dry’ so it works really well to consume this way.. if I did this with the FSE, my paper would be soggy ;) I just got a sample, but I think this was $125/7g when it was in stock.

First time trying this strain, and had to look it up to find out more (Grizzly Purple x G13) Smell has a gentle fruitiness to it. It’s a little leafy, don’t mind so much for AA grade. The nug looks really nice when you break into it, lots of protected trichomes inside. This is one of the cheaper strains at LPB. They just dropped the price to $118oz.

Lemon Haze (AAA)

Best smelling strain of the package! Really loud smell that reminds me of Jack Herer. The nugs are very dense. It’s a sativa, but didn’t feel overly heady to me. I think people who enjoy hybrids would probably also enjoy this strain.

Blue Dream (AAA)

Good bud structure and density. Unfortunately this batch doesn’t smell like it was cured properly. There’s a hint of ’blueness’ masked under a generic grassy smell. I expect that if I let this one sit in a glass jar for a week or two the smell and flavor will improve drastically.

Girl Scout Cookies (AA+)

LPB is currently stocked with two batches of GSC. This is the cheaper, lower grade one ($123oz) I think it smells slightly better than the GSC AAA. I did notice a little yellow leaf sticking out of my bud, but otherwise effects are strong and a small bowl went a long way.

Girl Scout Cookies (AAA)

This GSC costs slightly more than the lower grade one ($140oz) In my opinion, this batch is way too leafy to be considered AAA. It also would probably benefit from some cure time in a glass jar. After I trimmed the bud, it deserved the AAA grade.

Girl Scout Cookies: Best nug of the order. Dank cherry smell. Nug is trimmed and cured perfect. This is what I was hoping for in an order from ECM! The GSC was graded lowest of the three I ordered but I’m really enjoying it. If I was going to show off one of these to a friend, I’d pick this one.

Ayahuasca Purple: This was one of the strains that stuck out to me while browsing because I had never heard of it before and the picture looked so unusual. The buds look way more average in real life. This one might smell the strongest of the three, kinda like a floral chinese takeout. Soy saucey. The high is head to toe. I’m happy to have tried this one.

Tahoe OG: I love me some OG! This batch didn’t disappoint in taste or effects. Stinky OG deliciousness. I like this weed but I don’t think tiny buds like this count as ’AAA+++’ without some kind of disclaimer. The bag appeal is on par with the $99oz ’very small buds’ Mint Cookies I got from JJMeds recently. ECM cleared this strain out for $135, which I would still consider a competitive price.

I’ll keep my eye on the ECM deals thread, and would happily order again next time I see a good sale. The impression I get from this order is that they only stock from quality growers. A downside is that I’ve watched the prices float around quite a bit. Thanks ECM :)See More

JJMeds (August 2019)

First order with JJMeds. I have been wanting to try their $99 ounces and was lucky to check the site when they had two different strains available. Pretty sure the Mint Cookies sold out in less than a day. I was happy to be able to order when I saw it, because if you sn...ooze, you lose.

Order came quick vacuum sealed in a plain box, nothing squished.

Mint Cookies: Small nugs, just as described. Super caked. Smells a little gassy. Nice strong effects, and hardly any stems to remove before grinding it up. Perfect ounce for the price, really blown away.

Dutch King #7: A few decent sized nugs, probably nothing over 1g. Really fresh and has a gentle sweet smell. Interesting color and some nugs even have a little purple to them. This’ll be my daytime smoke. I’d love to know more about this strain’s lineage if anyone has the information.
