Decided to begin this round of TCS reviews with the lonely sativa of the crew. Enter Chocolope. A cross between Chocolate Thai x Cannalope Haze. The buds are very dense and com...pact in structure with a crisply textured exterior and snappy, medium sticky interior. Mainly light green in colour with the faintest glimpses of purple and a large population of wispy orange pistils. All followed by a visible layer of oily trichomes. Lovely trim and cure on her as well.
A delightful profile on this Chocolope, both in nose and flavour, delivering a very pleasant mix of sweet herbal earth and cocoa with faint hints of citrus on the tail end from the Thai in it's genetics. Translates nicely to the taste, just not as defined, producing more of a herbal influenced smoke accented with hints of citrus. Smooth and decently resinous in a J, burning to a lightly peppered ash.
Chocolope is one of your harder hitting sativas and I place it in the same category as Red Congo for how it hits me, especially as a wake and bake. Real uplifting and energetic with focused cerebral qualities, providing all the benefits from a social, outgoing sativa without any of the racy or overly anxious effects. Terrific daytime strain with a decently potent kick.
These gorgeous nugs of Tropicana Cookies appear even darker in person with their deep purple complexion and forest green foliage, further accompanied by a greasy dusting of frosty trichomes and pal...e orange pistils. The purples become even darker the further into the bud you go and after grinding. So much so that I even dumped out a loaded bowl because I thought it was just ash/half burnt flower. Firm and snappy with a slightly sticky texture and decent trim with a bit of extra leaf.
Easily one of my favourite cookie crosses to date as I'm a sucker for those delicious Tropicana terps. The nose is just oozing with loud, zesty citrus notes as if someone suddenly began peeling a tangerine in the room, becoming a little sweeter post grind. The flavours are very similar with the aforementioned Tropicana Cookie traits. Zesty and bitter like the peel of a tangerine without much sweetness. Although I did find it to be sweeter and overall tastier in my bong over a joint as I feel paper impacts citrus terps more than other flavours, except maybe berry strains. The burn is decently greasy but a touch on the darker salt and pepper side.
Even though it isn't a full on sativa it certainly leans to that side of the spectrum throughout the majority of it's high. It doesn't take long to kick in, feeling a burst of upbeat energy that can easily help turn a lousy mood upside down. It's not racy but it definitely encourages functionality over everything else but with enough of a mellow side to not feel anxious and very at ease. Perfect for a daytime smoke in every way but I did notice it had the potential to leave me a smidge tired after the effects wore off.
Gorgeous dark purple and forest green buds peppered in a fine layer of sharp orange pistils and a generous helping of full visible trichomes. Crisp and and a little dry to the touch but still manages to grind up to a sticky, pillable t...exture that feels far from dehydrated. Very nicely trimmed as well.
The nose upon opening the jar is pure grape hubba bubba bubblegum and it's just delightful. Cracking open a bud releases a slight spiciness with minty and herbal nuances. Reminds me of a Sundae Driver in ways. The flavours however are completely different. Extremely earthy and dank, like fresh, wet soil, followed by hints of spice and only the subtlest of the sweet hubba bubba goodness found in the nose. Joints burn to a bit of a darker salt and pepper ash with a large oil ring to follow.
An overall decently potent Indica dominated high, coming on quickly after the first few minutes. It begins with a noticeably calming and relaxing body stone that promotes a lazy, stress free vibe. It's also a little heady but not in an intense way more than it is focused and introspective.
I'm a lover of anything MAC related and this is only my second time trying this interesting cross of Alien Cheese x MAC bred by Capulator. The buds are ext...remely easy on the eyes as they sport a tremendous appeal and are well manicured. Heavily sugared in a blanket of long stalked crystals and clusters of peach coloured hairs over a surface of pastel greens and purples. Firm in density with an exterior that is a bit crisp to the touch but decently sticky within, balancing out to a perfect texture after grinding.
The aromas of this MAC and Cheese are very reminiscent to the MacFlurry by Teddy Farms, also from BcCannCo but with an added funky twist. It's very pungent and zesty but also like a creamy lemon pastry at the same time. There is also this slight meaty/cheesy funk thrown into the mix that further compliments and enhances the initial MAC terps, giving it a very complex profile. The flavours semi translate but without the funkiness, delivering more of a citrusy, slightly creamy smoke with spicy, herbal accents. A little scratchy and not as smooth as the MAC #1 I'll be reviewing but overall a decent smoke, burning to a salt and pepper ash with an average sized oil ring.
I feel like MAC crosses and Cheese crosses are both extremely heady in nature and the pairing of both brought on powerful cerebral effects. Very spacey and unfocused, meaninglessly zoning out from time to time and getting off of track of what you were just last doing. It's later met with more of a relaxing high that can efficiently leave you locked to the couch for a little while but is easy to bounce back from.
Genetics : (Skywalker OG x Joseph OG) or (Jedi Kush x Alien Kush)
Arriving in one heavy, chunky, 7 gram unit of a nug, doing it's namesake justice as it certainly is a force to be reckoned with. Ultra dense, greasy and exceedingly sticky, backed by a stellar cure... and careful trim, allowing the vast majority of trichomes to remain full and undisturbed. Slightly fox tailed in structure with a menacing colour scheme, combining shades of pale olive green with darker shades of forest green, further met by streaks of indigo and a heaping amount of orange hairs that would give Chewbacca a run for his money. Or more specifically; Imperial Credits.
Instantly knew I had a treat on my hands as I've always been a fan of this kind of terp profile. It's very nostalgic and in many ways reminds me of a few Breath or Glue crosses I've had. Sweet, woody, and herbal followed by rich aromas of fresh pine and peppery spice. Also a little skunk nestled deeply within it's layers. It translates to the taste exceptionally well, resulting in a smooth, tasty smoke that is slightly sweet, woody, and herbal with flavours of pine, spicy kush and skunk on the tail end. Clean and greasy burning, bearing a fluffy white ash and thick resin ring.
The Force is strong with this one as it contains quite the indica fueled high that excels both on a mental and physical level. Very heady and dialed in, effectively drowning out any surrounding distractions while allowing the mind to zone out and the body to drift off into a heavily relaxed state. Amazing strain in every way and one I would undoubtedly seek out again.
It was an incredibly sunny day so these photos are a little sun kissed!
This lovely cut of Peanut Butter... Breath cultivated by Teddy Farms arrived on the fresh, sticky side, equipped with a dense, snappy texture and a frosty, greasy exterior. Dark forest green in colour with purple shading throughout, vividly exploding with a multitude of radiant orange pistils that give the buds a ton of their character. The trim is immaculate as is the cure.
A strain I've had a wild amout of times yet I'm always intrigued by it due to the parents. This particular batch smells dank and floral with undertones of earth and spice. A touch of sweetness as well. The flavours are nutty and earthy with a spicy, gassy finish, smoothly burning to a clean ash with minor peppering and decent sized oil ring.
A potent high that is mainly cerebral in the early stages, even feeling a little unfocused and spaced out, especially if it's the first sesh of the day. It begins to exercise it's physical qualities further down the line, becoming very relaxed and tranquil without the heavy handed sedation, making for a well rounded, daytime hybrid.
One of my favourites so far from BcCannCo as there isn't much that keeps this ICC from being a quad with it's humble AAA+ rating. The buds are... wonderfully cured, feeling super sticky to the touch with a very dense composition. Dark green in colour with dark purple patching throughout, further covered in a sea of grease ridden trichomes and thin, pale orange hairs.
A delectable blend of dessert like fragrances that are creamy, doughy, and sugary, legit smelling like a pastry of sorts. It's almost overwhelming how sickly sweet it is but only in the best of ways. The flavours are also very bold, defined by a sweet creaminess that ends in a dank earthy exhale with some bitterness. Noticed this to happen only through a joint and not in the bong. Clean and slow burning, leaving behind a lightly peppered ash and heavy resin ring.
I'll always appreciate the buzz on a good ICC and this one certainly followed suit as it shares all the qualities I look for in an indica dominant hybrid. Very euphoric, uplifting, and whimsical in nature combined with an all encompassing sense of relaxation that brings with it minor pain/ache relief. Not a heavy KO hitter but that's what makes it an ideal afternoon/early evening smoke to slowly unwind to.
These nugs of Tom Ford Pink arrived on the very dense and compact side, sporting an ultra tight structure and close trim. Well cured with a crisp exterior and a resinous, sticky in...terior. Colours are a blend of olive and forest green with minor hints of purple, followed by a moderate dusting of milky trichomes and faded orange pistils.
The nose is spicy, kushy, and floral with an earthy, sweet diesel finish. Very rich and almost perfume like. The flavours produced are spicy, earthy, and slightly musky with gassy, floral undertones. Definitely surprised me as the taste easily outperformed the nose. Will update on the ash asap as I only have thick papers at the moment and they don't accurately portray the burn cleanliness but I will say it's some smooth smoke. Update* Burns to a salt and pepper ash with a medium sized oil ring.
A very enjoyable indica dominant buzz on this TFP, offering a powerful head high that's accompanied by uplifted euphoric effects. It's effectively relaxing as well, feeling it take hold both mentally and physically and leaving one in a dreamy/spacey slumber. Smoking it throughout the day had me somewhat functional but as time went on it became heavier and sedating in nature.
I've had a ton of Gelato crosses over the years but this is one I've certainly never came by before. Couldn't find much info but I'm assuming the parents are a variation of Gelato and ...Skunk. The buds are very dense and sticky, taking a little extra effort to break down to size, equipped with a decent trim and cure. Her colours are a mixture of several shades of green, playing background to a lush forest of pale orange pistils and towering white trichomes. Many outer trichs don't taper off to a full head but there are still plenty overall.
A pungent herbal profile that is also quite nutty but in a fresh, vegetal way, like peanuts that haven't been roasted. The Gelato side is subtle but there with a gentle creamy sweetness that quickly turns musky and spicy. The flavours are sweet, woody and herbal with a musky, skunky exhale. I wouldn't say it's harsh but the smoke certainly packs a sharp punch to the throat like most skunk crosses.
The potency on this Gelato Skunk is up there without a doubt, especially in a heady sense. A spacey, disorienting high that can be feel overpowering and even racy in larger amounts. I found it best to be active and functional rather than just lounge around on the couch. It eventually eases up, becoming very calming and relaxing in nature with mellow sedative qualities that aren't overly taxing. Great for a mid day, early evening smoke.
I've had this Dr.Claw once before from Gizmo Craft and remember it being a decent Bubba overall. The buds could use a bit of a haircut this time around, appearing a little bush...y but other than that they are heavily greasy and sticky. A combination of forest and dark greens with hints of purple, coated in a generous amount of snow white trichomes and clusters of bright orange pistils. Dense to the touch and well cured.
The nose is a combination of sweet earthy gas and spicy kush, becoming danker and stronger upon disturbing the buds. Lovely bubba flavours that are gassy, woody, and spicy, lingering on the pallet after each exhale. Joints yield a light grey ash and a large, quick building resin ring.
An indica driven high that offers a deep body stone paired with potent heady qualities. Very relaxing and laid back, leading to tired, heavy eyes and a couch lock that is imminent. Certainly one to indulge in when the schedule is clear or in the evening as it may put a halt on productivity.
