I can't even recall the last time I've smoked some Grape Ape but I have to say the looks are very consistent with this strain. This batch from THC really stood out to me, hen...ce why I decided to review it first. Beautiful looking buds across the board, equipped with lovely shades of violet and dark green, further enhanced by a forest of bright orange and yellow pistils. Decent trichome coverage as well, leaving the semi dense nugs feeling nice and sticky when breaking them down. I did find areas on certain buds to contain some chunks of perlite that I had to pick out before shooting pics but still managed to miss a few.
A very interesting nose to this Grape Ape straight out of the bag, combining notes of peppered citrus and earth with a sweet, slightly fruity background. It almost could pass for a haze of sorts. The translation to taste is partial, providing more of a woody, earthy smoke nuanced with hints of pepper. Not the best burning or smoothest however with an ash that is darker on the outside and lighter grey inside, sometimes needing a little help staying lit.
The effects are very mellow and relaxing, slowly building over time into a carefree, stress alleviating, medium potency buzz, perfectly suited towards a late afternoon or early evening. Didn't find it to slow me down too bad as it's only slightly sedating and couch locking, feeling overall quite balanced. Certainly decent value for the 120 tag, just might do better with a longer cure.
Sunset Sherbert and Animal Cookies are the parents behind this strain, one I've only had a handful of times. Buds arrived on the very dense side with a moderately sticky texture and light trichome coverage. Decent... visuals overall but nothing to write home about and a touch leafy in areas.
Aromas and flavours are light for a cross with such parents. Very woody, peppery, herbal and earthy, especially the nose with the taste being a toned down version of the smell. Joints burn decently with an average sized resin ring and salt n' pepper ash.
The effects once again are on the mellow side like the SSH previously reviewed. Very light and mainly in the head with a clear and focused buzz that lacks that real punch. It'll do the trick if one's tolerance is low but seasoned smokers will feel underwhelmed.
I've always enjoyed the flower I received from OneTwoTreez in the past but I can't say I'm a fan of buds that have this particular look, sometimes even bringing into question the use of PGR's, very similar to wh...at was called ”China Bud” back in the day, usually identified by extremely dense rock hard nugs littered with thick orange hairs and a minimal trichome production. The Gelato I've yet to test is also unfortunately similar.
I will say that despite it's appearance it's nose actually surprised me. Certainly smells like a haze with a refreshing citrus nose that is sweet, spicy, and slightly sour. The flavours are similar but more peppery and herbal with a citrus background, producing an accrid, slightly harsh smoke that was a little smoother in a joint vs bong.
The effects were quite light and short-lived for an SSH, delivering a mellow cerebral stone that is clear headed and focused. Probably best for beginners or those looking for a little daytime buzz.
Dense forest green nugs coated in a greasy layer of sticky resinous trichomes, sporting a decent trim and cure. Hints of purple can be seen throughout as well as a helping of burnt orange pisti...ls. Can't say I've ever had these two strains together but it's an interesting cross for sure.
The nose on this Pink Trapstar had my attention straight away as it's a delicate blend of pungent and sweet. Gassy and slightly sour with a vanilla background. Flavours were more your standard gassy, earthy, spicy Kush terps with floral accents. Joints grease up heavily while burning to a grey peppered ash.
The high is nice and potent with quick hitting indica effects that are heavily relaxing, sedating, and euphoric, building to a body numbing couch lock over time while putting a halt on all functionality. Certainly one for the evening.
This stuff was a steal at the time, should have grabbed some more. It's supposed to be CE's cut of PBB, just not grown by them. The nose is real rich and dank with a floral/perfumey, spicy, creamy, skunky profile..., reminds me of certain meat breaths I've head. Burns real nice and clean with a white ash and slick oil ring, packing a medium potency buzz with balanced hybrid effects.
Certainly no stranger to Gelato as it's probably one of my most reviewed strains to date. This particular batch from Grasscove arrived in the form of dense medium sized buds equipped with a sticky snappy texture and neat trim. Certain buds ...were more on the green side with specs of purple while others were the opposite. Decent trichome production overall although the exterior is a little roughed up.
A familiar Gelato nose that is very creamy and sweet with hints of citrus and lavender from the linalool presence. The aromas seamlessly carry over to the smoke with the same characteristics, providing a defined Gelato taste that is sweet and creamy with a delicate citrusy-floral background. Slightly scratchy on the exhale but still relatively smooth overall, burning with a nice sized resin ring and salt & pepper ash.
A balanced indica leaning high that is very relaxing and euphoric in nature, aiding in stress and anxiety relief in the process. It's also chatty and socially engaging as well, something I tend to notice in many 'dessert' strains. The high begins to fade after a good amount of the time, leaving me in a lazy unproductive state so I found this one best for evening use.
Not entirely sure on the genetics of this strain as one would assume by the name that it's Triangle Kush x Pink Kush but the description has it as Rockstar x Pink Zombie. Buds are very resinous and sticky with a squishy snappy... texture, coated in a greasy layer of trichomes. Hard to tell where a bud begins and ends due to it's unorthodox structure/shape. Mainly light green in colour with specks of purple and forest green foliage followed by a peppering of outstretched orange hairs. Speaking of hairs, I found a few tangled within the buds that eventually went on to photo bomb my pictures. I had to tediously find and remove them prior to smoking, can't say I enjoyed that part!
The nose on this strain is quite pungent and dank with notes of diesel, earth, and pine, as well as a hint of skunk that tickles the nose on a long sniff. An accurate translation to the smoke as the flavours are dank, earthy, and gassy with a woodsy/piney finish. Joints burn to a clean lightly peppered ash while producing a substantial amount of resin in the process.
A very laidback and carefree indica dom that pretty much offers a bit of everything. It's not an overly sedative/KO high more than it is an extremely relaxing and serene one and when paired with it's zoned out cerebral stone can easily lead to a stress/tension relieving couch lock session.
Funky best describes the nose on this one as it's got an acidic cheesy playdough thing going on that is borderline offensive, even reminding me of ...certain emmantal cheeses. The creamy cookie-kushy aromas eventually do make an appearance after grinding as well as a subtle mintiness. The flavours aren't as funky and more on the cookie side with an underlying creamy cheesy taste that isn't acidic and is more of a desserty cheese type. Joints burn clean and res up quickly while producing a light salt & pepper.
The high is your average hybrid cookie buzz that is balanced and potent with both relaxing cerebral and physical qualities, perfect for a daytime and evening smoke alike.
Could be missing something as it's been a while since I finished my bag but that's my best recollection of it. Great strain overall and at a killer tag, easily joining the ranks of the Bert Reynolds and Freshwater Biscotti in the top three of my order.

Over the top visuals on this Flue Gas #14, a trademark Prohibition F...arms cultivar that crosses (Secret Cookies x Kush Mints #11) x XOLBG. ”Would you like some bud with those trichomes?” is the first thing that comes to mind when laying eyes on these insanely caked, exquisitely manicured nugs, with the vast majority of them being full and undisturbed as they dominate the surface area. Her colours are mainly purple but with the most beautiful vibrant violet streaking I've seen in a long while, followed by hints of green and an assortment of wispy orange pistils. The cure is on point as well, leaving the firm, semi dense nugs feeling greasy and sticky to the touch.
The nose on this Flue Gas is within the same vein as the 90 Metres South as they both have a parent in common in Secret Cookies x Kush Mints #11 . A wonderfully balanced bouquet of aromas that are both dank and dessert like all at once. Beginning with a sharp peppered fuel that stings the nostrils while simultaneously caressing them with delicious doughy cookie aromas. It's also a little nutty after grinding with a delicate touch of vanilla on the tail end. A decent translation to smoke, just not as layered as the nose, delivering a tasty mix of cookies and gas and smacking the tastebuds on exhale. Joints burn to a salt and pepper ash accompanied by a fair sized resin ring, remaining smooth from start to finish.
An enjoyable indica dominant high that begins with a mood lifting euphoria as well as a calming cerebral stone. It slowly drifts off into more of a relaxing state half way in with mellow sedative tendencies, enough to feel couch locked and adrift but not KO'ed. Overall my second favourite after the Banker's Hours and a strain I'm happy to have tried after hearing good things.
Been enjoying this funky strain for a while now as it still remains the oddest smelling flower in my stash. But in an oddly good way, especially as fan ...of GMO. The terpene profile is as wild as the looks. Funky, sour, spicy, and extremely dank, reminiscent of wet earth and dirty socks. Certainly not a strain for everyone as some may find it off putting while others may embrace the funk. The burn is clean and greasy with a salt and pepper ash and smooth smoke, delivering a potent indica dominant stone that promotes heavy relaxation as well as a powerful head high.
