Another new cultivar by Prohibition Farms and onc...e again a strain that is entirely new to me. Always exciting when that happens. Did a little digging on the genetics and based on their IG seems to be a delicious pairing of LA Kush Cake 6.3 & (Secret Cookies x Kush Mints #11). Perfectly manicured buds covered in a resinous blanket of milky trichomes, sporting a beautiful structure and colour scheme consisting of vibrant greens and purples as well as a lush forest of glowing orange pistils. Lovely cure with a dense snappy feel and sticky to the touch texture.
Loving the profile on this Bankers Hours as it's very dessert like in nature and right down my alley. Creamy and sweet with an overall cake influenced body, accented by hints of spice with a delicate fruity background. Tasty and terpy but especially via joint, falling into that unexplained category as to why some strains really come through one method but not the other. Rich and creamy with sugary cakey flavours that cling themselves to the tastebuds upon exhaling. Ash is a touch on the darker grey side but it doesn't effect the taste or smoothness. Joints grease up nicely as well.
The high on this Bankers Hours is a decently potent one with indica leaning qualities, delivering an onset of heady and physical effects that are heavily euphoric and relaxing, promoting a stress free buzz with mellow couch locking tendencies. Certainly makes for an ideal ”wind down and chill out” strain that I would reach for after a day at work or later evening. My favourite so far with the Flue Gas #14 to go!

Decided to start off this round of OWO reviews with t...his intriguing strain and one that is new to me, 90 Metres South. One of three Prohibition Farm flowers I'll be covering. A delectable cross between Orange Push Pop x Animal Mints x (Secret Cookies x Kush Mints #11), producing these lovely trichome covered buds that are easy on the eyes with a gorgeous purple and green colour scheme further highlighted by a contrasting population of of pale peach orange hairs. Arriving on the smaller size with a neat and careful trim, allowing for many heads to remain intact. The cure is top notch as the buds are firm and sticky with an ideal moisture level.
I had to go back a few times to make sure I had the nose down to a tee as this is one of those strains that smells a certain way one second and changes the next. Upon cracking a nug apart I was hit with a spicy peppery fuel like found in platinum crosses but after grinding and letting it settle for a bit the spicy fuel dissipated and instead transformed to a rich vanilla with fruity and citrusy accents similar to a frosted fruit cake. Nice and tasty when combusted where you can really sense a cookie influence with a slightly creamy spicy funk and a subtle citrus exhale. Joints burn clean and greasy, producing a fluffy white ash and decent sized resin ring.
Fairly potent in effects, delivering an indica dominant buzz that first begins in the form of a slow building cerebral high that is quite euphoric and upbeat as well as heady. As time goes on the effects begin to transition into a physical stone with mellow couch locking capabilities that are heavily calming but not sedating, allowing it to be enjoyed during the day as well as night.
This will always be one of my top strains for it's insanely delicious terpene profile. This batch that I've been enjoying for a couple of months now keeps getting better like a finely aged wine. Real impressed for it...9;s tag and probably my favourite in the lot of strains I tried with a terrific cure and beautiful large sticky buds.
The nose is a tropical berry/strawberry fusion with creamy and spicy accents, translating to taste but with a bit more emphasis on the peppery, spicy notes, followed by berry, mildly earthy undertones. It's such a pleasant and enjoyable smoke, burning to a perfect white ash and sizeable oil ring.
Balanced hybrid effects that are overall decently potent and long lasting, beginning with a wave of euphoric, mood lifting energy that leaves you feeling positive and social. It's also very spacey and dreamy with a mildly sedating and relaxing body buzz, perfectly suiting an afternoon or evening session.
No introduction needed here as ICC is a staple strain that catapulted itself into the exotic world and has comfortably earned itself a spot amongst some of tastiest. This batch is certainly worthy and may have even won me over the ...Biscotti I previously reviewed. Buds are perfectly trimmed and cured, feeling very dense and sticky with a snappy freshness and generous amount of resinous trichomes. Lovely structure and lively appearance, sporting a light green coat highlighted through faint hints of violet and a lush forest of yellow-orange pistils.
This is the exact ICC profile that I hope for every time. It's extremely defined and full bodied, producing creamy vanilla cake batter aromas with a subtle mintiness on the tail end, growing stronger once fully ground up. Her flavours are just as enthralling and translate accurately, delivering mouthwatering ICC terps that are creamy and doughy with a scrumptious hint of vanilla, lingering on the tongue long after the initial toke. Certainly the definition of a dessert profile as it's quite pastry like. The smoke is clean and smooth, burning with an oily resin ring and light coloured ash.
A mellow hybrid based high with a solid mix of mood enhancing and relaxing qualities. Certainly quite the chatty high as well, only adding to it's overall uplifted, euphoric nature. It provides just enough of physical buzz to feel very loose and unwound throughout it's entirety without any noticeable sedative tendencies, making it a flexible strain to indulge in at any time of day.
My one constant in my life is always having a MAC or MAC #1 in the stash like one would keep a favourite coffee on deck at all times. My bag arrived consisting of large chunky colas and a few medium sized n...ugs, extremely dense and heavy with a lovely physical appeal. Forest green in colour with hints of dark purple scattered throughout followed by a frosty dusting of tall stalky trichomes and radiant orange pistils. Overall neatly trimmed with a tiny bit of extra leaf, accompanied by a great cure that has the buds feeling sticky and snappy to the touch.
Certainly the MAC profile I know and love as it's such a distinctive smelling/tasting strain. The nose is creamy, sweet, and fruity with funky herbal undertones and hints of citrus, effectively translating to the taste with the same tasty MAC terps that linger on exhale. It could be a touch on the smoother side as it's a little scratchy but that would be my only negative as the burn is very clean and greasy.
The effects produced by this MAC 1 are very balanced and mellow with a super relaxed demeanour and floaty head high. It's also mood lifting and euphoric with with minor sedative tendencies, deeming it the perfect mid day smoke to keep as a daily driver. Overall really happy with this batch of MAC #1 that holds it's own for a AAA+.
A gorgeous Italian cookie inspired strain consisting of GSC, Gelato 25, and South Florida OG. The buds arrived in tip top shape, sportin...g a lovely coat of greasy white trichomes and peach coloured pistils atop a bright green and purple surface. Very dense, sticky, and snappy, breaking up to a perfect texture. Lastly the trim and cure are on point.
This stuff is great in every category but especially when it comes to the nose/flavour. A very creamy, sugary, biscotti cookie profile with those sweet dessert aromas coming through from the Gelato as well as undertones of vanilla. There is also something candy like going on that is borderline fruity. The flavours are also on par, delivering a very desserty, Gelato driven smoke that is creamy and sweet with hints of citrus, coating the pallet as it deliciously lingers after each exhale. Perfect burn and smooth smoke, producing a clean ash and large resin ring.
Like the majority of dessert strains the high feels quite evenly balanced as it hovers around the hybrid territory with a mellow indica influence. Uplifting, euphoric, and relaxing, a great recipe for feeling extremely chill and laid back while also shedding off some stress and anxiety in the process. Medium to to medium - high potency with a decent longevity and high that can be enjoyed at anytime really. Certainly my favourite of the strains so far with just the ICC left to challenge it.
An intriguing relationship between PBB & Rockstar that also goes by Dank Breath I believe. Tightly structured buds that are dominantly dark forest green in nature with pur...ple streaks and purple sugar leaf throughout. Equipped with a substantial amount of milky trichomes and assortment of peach and light orange pistils. Dense with a little give and moderately sticky, greasy texture.
The nose on this Peanut Butter Rockstar is a little on the fresh side and could certainly benefit from a longer cure as it's quite vegetal and ”green” smelling with a herbal background. Also a little gassy but it's not pungent at all. The flavours are also on the light end of things and I couldn't pick up on much as it mainly had that generic earthy, smokey taste. I'll be saving the rest of it as I'm sure it just needs some extra jar time. The burn is salt and pepper with an average sized resin ring to boot.
From the little bit that I smoked I can say it's some potent stuff. Immediately felt a buzzing head high kick in within minutes with a mellow relaxation to follow so the potential is definitely there.
Couldn't find the lineage on this neat looking Makaveli OG but I'm assuming it's a pheno of OG Kush. The buds are dense and compact with a sticky texture and neat trim, comprised of mixed greens and hints of purp...le. Decently coated by a dusting of snow white trichomes and clusters of entwined orange pistils.
The aromas produced by this Makaveli OG are musky, sour, and earthy with a subtle herbal sweetness and a gassy finish. The flavours are a little less defined and are more on the earthy woodsy side with gassy undertones. It could be smoother as the smoke tickles the throat a bit. Joints burn with a medium sized resin ring and dark grey ash.
The high is easily this Makaveli OG's strongest trait. Potent and long lasting with solid indica dominant effects that are heavy and hard hitting, delivering a spaced out, daydream like stone accompanied by an extremely relaxed body high.
Organic Polynesian Thin Mints - OSO Fuego (Tin Series)

Had a chance to check out Kootenay Botanical's new offering from t...heir OSO Fuego Tin Series lineup. So far it's the only strain available but if this Polynesian Thin Mint is an example of things to come then they are certainly on the right track.
Arriving in a sealed tin can suitable for 7 to 14 grams with a separate included Integra on the side. I didn't find a need for it but it's a nice touch nonetheless. Some extremely wild fox-tailing going on here and I have no idea how these buds were so delicately packaged without breaking any of the outstretched tips. Kudos on that and it's also apparent when observing all the undisturbed heads. Not sure if this strain has it in it's genes to foxtail but it's more likely to a heat or light stress issue but I didn't find it to effect anything. Fresh, snappy, and cured to a tee with a perfect moisture level and amount of stickiness that leaves the fingers coated in trichomes. Her colours are a mix of mint and forest green with subtle purple shading and heaps of peach hued pistils.
The nose on this Polynesian Thin Mint is just incredible and very complex as there are so many layers to it. It's heavily pungent and even a little funky at first as it reminded me of a spicy garlic cookie cross. As the buds settle a certain mint aroma emerges that is actually more on the peppermint side than anything, followed by an earthy, cookie sweetness. A seamless translation to taste with all the characteristics found in the nose carrying over and then some. A very rich and and flavourful tastebud lingering smoke, producing a sweet peppermint cookie flavour with spicy and earthy accents, remaining delicious and silky smooth toke after toke. Joints burn perfect with a clean white ash and heavy set resin ring.
The effects delivered by this PTM are almost instantaneous, storming out of the gates with a buzzing head high that leaves you feeling floaty, hazy, and spaced out. It's also very euphoric as well as uplifting, making for a tremendously effective mood lifter. The physical qualities that eventually come into play are heavily relaxing and couch locking. Definitely suited for a slow afternoon or evening as the burnout can be a little immobilizing and decrease productivity.
Not much prior experience with this strain at all as I think I've only had it once. A cross of Master ...Kush and Red River Delta by Barney's Farm, arriving a touch on the dry side but not to a point of crumbling, just not as sticky as the other strains I have. The buds appear to have had a seed problem as there are empty pods all throughout the surface but I couldn't find any within. Forest green in colour with touches of purple throughout, lined by rows of thick orange hairs and long thin trichomes that are mostly of the stalky variety.
A very musky, earthy nose on this Ayahuasca Purple with underlying notes of lavender and a subtle nutty aroma lingering in the background. Very similar tasting to how it smells, delivering flavours of dank earth and lavender. A bit of an acquired taste for sure as it can be a little overwhelming. A touch scratchy on the throat as well. Joints burn with a medium sized resin ring and salt and pepper ash.
The high is a bit of a creeper and is mainly heady at first with a building cerebral buzz that is focused and clear headed. It begins to shift into more of a relaxed high further down the road but never feels overwhelming or sedating. Might be better suited towards beginners and light smokers as it's in the lower potency bracket.
