I'll keep this review short and sweet. This Sugar Cane looks absolutely phenomenal and has an outstanding nose to match. Sugary, creamy, nutt...y, grape aromas wrapped in a rich caramel blanket with accents of platinum spice on the tail end. Very rich and full bodied, just can't stop diving in for repeated smell checks. Unfortunately, that's where the fun comes to an end. Very little flavour to the smoke, mainly tasting of...well, smoke. The burn is also lackluster as it's on the dark side. Found the potency to be ok overall, feeling like an Indica leaning hybrid but everything is ultimately jeopardized by it's lack of taste and less than ideal burn. Also found a seed. So far the only strain I was let down by in my order.
(lighting was a little cool the day I took the pics. Buds are slightly darker)
Lovely aesthetics on these dense, smaller sized buds. Arriving with an average humidity level... and great trim. Vibrant shades of green and purple peek through a layer of snow-white trichomes, peppered with hints of orange in the form of thin, long hairs.
The nose on this Mellonheadz comes across as a little subtle, mainly smelling sweet and herbal. Cracking a nug apart introduces faint fruity/citrusy notes. I didn't pick up on any watermelon/melon terps unfortunately. The flavours follow suit, providing a herbal leaning smoke that carries with it a faint fruity taste as well as a little nuttiness. Smooth hitting in both bong and joint, burning to a salt and pepper ash and medium sized oil ring.
A high that opens up with a wave of cerebral effects, feeling a warm fuzziness build at the top of the skull. Very clear headed and focused, good for multitasking and keeping functional before entering more of a spacey, zoned out state. Great for daytime medicating as it's only relaxing to an extent without putting a damper on productivity.
A last minute choice that I tossed in my cart on a whim. Couldn't find the lineage on it but it's description had me interested. Beautiful, perfectly groomed, medium to large nugs, arriving feeling dense and compact with a snappy, moderately sticky texture. Properly cured stuff. It's app...earance is a combination of sage and olive green mixed with shades of purple, blending together in a very complementive fashion, further joined by a population of rusty orange pistils and milky trichomes.
I was a little let down by the nose/taste on this one after it arrived to be honest as it's not tropical leaning like I had anticipated from the description. However, it has grown on me immensely after a couple of weeks with it. Aromas and flavours are nutty and herbal, but in a very fresh nutty-herbal kind of way, not roasted. Also a touch of pine as well. It sounds basic but it's actually quite pleasant and I found myself constantly going back to it. It's best feature is the smoothness and cleanliness of the smoke, especially noticeable when consumed through a bong. Joints burn with a good sized oil ring and salt n pepper ash.
Found the potency to be up there as it's certainly surprised me on a few occasions, especially when waking and baking with it. Extremely heady but not racy in the slightest, delivering a very uplifted, energetic, social high that can be suited for anytime of the day. Just enough of a relaxing side to it that mellows out the effects towards the end but it never feels sedating or counter productive. For the tag of 108 at the time (i think) I'm quite happy with it overall.
One of the most nostalgic strains to me. Not only because I've had it a bunch back in the day but it was also part of my very first MoM order. This Pre 98 Bubba, grown in Living Soil, arrived sporting a decent bag appeal oth...er than some extra scrappy foliage at the base of the buds. They are very sticky and greasy with some give to them so they aren't overly firm, more of a medium density but far from loose. Mainly pale light green in colour with darker greens mixed in, followed by hints of purple and orange across the surface. All finished off by a healthy coating of milky trichomes.
Familiar and welcoming Bubba terps that are a pungent combination of gas, earth, and skunk followed by sweet woodsy notes on the tail end. Also getting a little floral hint in there. The flavours are somewhat similar and well represented in the smoke, delivering hit after hit of gassy, earthy kush paired with an acrid skunkiness. Not harsh but can leave the throat a little raspy feeling midway into a session. Slow and greasy burn, leaving behind a salt and pepper ash.
The high certainly seems to be the stand out trait on this Pre 98 as it packs a powerful indica punch almost right off the bat. A few tokes in and I can already begin to feel relaxed and mellow, weighing heavy on the shoulders and eyes with a calming, spaced out head high to follow. It eventually spreads out towards the rest of the body, delivering a soothing, carefree buzz that effectively develops into a significant couch lock over time. Might just be my favourite of the strains reviewed, especially for it's 'blast from the past' factor.
Wrapping up this round of Big Boss reviews is the heavy hitting, resin dripping, finger licking Pink Death by Quad City. Chunky buds that are neatly manicured,... allowing their greasy, trichome covered surfaces to shine amongst vibrant shades of green, purple, and orange. Ultra dense and compact, accompanied by a very sticky texture within. Cured to an absolute tee as well.
A very pungent and dank aroma/flavour profile as to be expected from a Pink Kush x Death Bubba cross. Opening the jar releases suffocating notes of gas and earth that become slightly sweet and floral when ground up, but still very heavy on the gas. Also a lovely touch of vanilla detected in the background. The flavours are identical, leading with a sharp earthy gas and finishing with a floral vanilla taste that pleasantly lingers behind, burning with a clean white ash and thick resin ring.
She's a potent one without a doubt, wasting no time to roll out her euphoric, immobilizing effects. Very heady and hazy feeling, kinda just forcing you to space out to something. Add in the heavy relaxation with the lazy couch lock and the end result is a sedating and long lasting one, providing effective stress and pain relief throughout it's entirety. Definitely one of my faves of the bunch.
Probably the best looking Pink variation I've ever reviewed to date and I've reviewed a ton. This gorgeous Pink Goo is manicured to perfection and frosted out to t...he 9's with a masterful cure to follow. Buds arrived on the large size, sporting a super dense structure with an optimal moisture level and sticky to the touch texture. Gorgeous colours on her as well, showcasing a vibrant backdrop consisting of light greens and purples, highlighting a lush forest of wild orange hairs and snowy white trichomes.
The nose on this Pink Goo is pungent yet sweet, combining notes of gassy kush with hints of rich earth followed by a light floral musk. Almost reminds me of the smell of freshly ground coffee at times. Flavours are gassy, earthy, and floral but much more rich and exotic tasting than the average gassy type kush if that makes sense. Extremely smooth and clean smoking, burning to a very light ash with a heavy resin ring to follow.
Heavy hitter status, delivering a potent indica driven high that hits on every level. Starts out with a very floaty, weight lifted off the shoulders type of buzz, feeling completely calm and loose as stress and anxiety are pushed to the side. It's soon met with a spaced out head high and physically sedating body stone, launching one self into a complete state of blissful relaxation where the couch lock is imminent.
A bit of a scrappier appearance to these buds as they are a little leafy and don't have much of a structure to them. However, they more than make up for their looks with an extremely sticky texture, heavy trichome p...roduction, and great cure.
The nose is mainly gassy and earthy at first, further accompanied by undertones of spicy, floral kush when broken up. Not the most distinguished of Pink profiles overall but still a lovely smelling cut. The taste is very floral with earthy and gassy undertones, making for a thick, heavy smoke that is initially smooth on the exhale but can be a little scratchy on the throat mid session. Joints burn to a darker grey ash with an average sized oil ring.
The high is certainly it's best trait overall. Heavy and potent, delivering a carefree, euphoric stone with powerful relaxing and sedating qualities, temporarily nullifying minor pain and alleviating stress. Definitely one to indulge in at night or when not a whole lot is going on.
My favourite of the bunch so far as I'm a sucker for a GMO cross and this beautiful GMO x Blue Sherbert did not disa...ppoint. Cured and trimmed to perfection, showcasing lovely, pastel shades of green and purple that are further complemented by a multitude of glowing orange pistils and full juicy trichomes. Extremely dense and compact in structure, only needing a tiny bit to break up to a huge amount, basically rolling itself from being so sticky.
The nose on this Garlic Sherbert is all fuel at first, the type that feels like you're getting buzzed on the smell alone. Super pungent and aggressive. Breaking it apart releases a funky, rubbery-garlic smell with hints of dank herbs on the tail end. Definitely a GMO dominant cut. The flavours are similar enough but not quite as funky as the nose. It's still GMO dominant for the most part with a spicy, gassy, garlic punch but is balanced out by a creamy sherb flavour that pleasantly lingers on the taste buds after exhaling. Very smooth while smoking but it certainly let's you know it has some kick as it goes straight to the chest. Joints burn to a light grey ash while producing a thick resin ring.
Found the high to be really potent as I've come to except with GMO crosses. It starts off as extremely upbeat and social, noticing a boost in energy along a powerful, soaring head high. Just very mood enhancing in general. It begins to mellow out about halfway into it's duration, noticing a very obvious shift in effects as it becomes heavily relaxing and couch locking. Not an instant KO but the ingredients for an eventual nap are certainly there.
Beautiful visuals on this Pink Gas Mask, bringing together the likes of Pink Kush and Gas Mask. Cured to perfection, equipped with a dense exterior and extremely stick...y, greasy interior. Fresh, yet crisply snapping away at the main stem. A pale green surface gives way to patches of dark purple and copious amounts of long, outstretched hairs, followed by a significant dusting of frosty trichomes.
The nose is all gassy fuel at first, paying homage to it's Gas Mask genetics before emitting aromas of dank earth and sour kush. Grinding it up brings out notes of floral pink kush as well, adding a little sweetness to the mix. The terps translate to taste in an expressed manner, delivering mouthwatering notes of diesel fuel and slightly sour, earthy kush, accompanied by sweet floral accents on exhale. Very smooth and clean smoking, burning to a light grey ash with a decently sized resin ring.
Exactly the high I would expect from a heavily indica influenced cross. Powerfully relaxing and sedating, providing instant relief whether it be mentally or physically. It's also very euphoric and spacey, making everything feel slow motion like until finally giving in to it's narcotic, sleep induced couch lock. Great for a lazy day lounging at home and evenings as a sleep aid.
Had this strain in the past from OWO and loved it. These are the smalls this time around and they arrived with a decent bag appeal. Buds are crisp and firm on the outside but sticky within, accompanied by a good amount of trichomes. A l...ittle extra foliage here and there but nothing substantial.
A very different set of terpenes on this Shark OG when comparing to last time. It's very floral smelling, like actual flower petals, mixed with a little diesel and perhaps a little skunk and pine as well. Hard to tell but the last strain I had that was this floral smelling was Black Roses. The taste is also very floral dominant with hints of earth and gas with a super smooth smoke to follow. Burns to a light grey ash and a medium sized resin ring.
A solid, all around indica with a good balance of cerebral and physical effects. Very mentally soothing and calming at first, eventually met with a very mellow body high. Heavily relaxing and euphoric, all while leaving you peacefully glued to the couch.
