The return of the most controversial bud of the year has arrived, and I am here to assure you all that this is the same stuff we all fell in love with before the great Headwater Broken A.C. Fiasco (Headwatergate?) of 2021 that left so many justifiably bummed out and mistrustful of the grower/strain....

Let me just preface this first off by saying that, yes, I did buy that last batch that everyone was hating on, and while it was clearly not near the same quality as the last batch, I definitely wasn’t nearly as upset as some people as I still found it a decent enough smoke and had only grabbed a half o of the smalls (which SB actually filled out with whatever extra smalls they had as I seemed to get the end of the bag), so I really had no reason to complain. That said, smelling that last stuff it was immediately apparent by the sour mustiness compared to the minty gas of the last batch that it was for sure a big difference. I will not argue that, just saying I didn’t really give a shit and was more just willing to write it off as a fuck up and wait for the next round.

Now on to this stuff. Immediately when I pop the jar I am greeted with that familiar and unique sweet minty gas I loved from the first batch. Does it smell as strong as that first batch? I have no idea. It was so long ago and we have a way of glorifying the nugs of the past that I really can’t trust my memory enough to say whether it was better or not, but it definitely brings back some nostalgia on each whiff so i think we’re on the right track.

In terms of burn, no complaints whatsoever, but I don’t think burn was ever an issue with this stuff even on the crappier batch. I didn’t pay attention to ash, it was dark and i was high, so sue me lol. But the smoke was smooth and potent as hell, a nice juxtaposition between the feeling of inhaling something smooth as air that you can still feel getting you higher and higher on each puff.

The high was exactly what I remember. When that first batch came around I kept on referring to it as the TV weed because every time I smoked it I felt completely glued to the screen and utterly captivated by whatever I was watching. I barely watch tv but smoking that stuff always made my A.D.D ass able to sit still and binge a series for hours. When I smoked this last night I noticed a similar effect, I just felt completely locked in to whatever album I was listening to at the time and just completely content to chill the fuck out and be in the moment.

Ok i think that is probably about as long of an essay as I’m going to get away with before i start losing your stoner asses attention so i’ll stop there, but last point i wanna make is that this is completely unincentivised (spelling?). With that said, I think Stashbox are genuinely solid people that I have grown to really like and have always treated me very well, so I do want to go to bat for them for a sec here and say I think it’s a bit weird how quick people turned on them over this fiasco. Headwater fucked up, and I think a lot of people got screwed in the process, but I really don’t think SB deserves the brunt of that upset after providing what I think most of us can agree has been a really solid service for a while now. Not trying to stir the pot here, but just really think people need to chill out on how quickly they will turn on a MOM over a mistake. We are all human, including your mail order service/grower/dealer. If you decide not to go forward with someone after a fuck up that is totally understandable, but do we have to be complete assholes about it? I meant to review this one last week but I completely blanked out til now. I usually like to do my reviews either as I’m smoking or immediately after so I can go into details about the smoke, but since I finished this one a few days ago I’ll have to keep it short and sweet.

Overall I�...��ll just say I was extremely impressed with this one. I’ve had a few hits and misses with Hierba so I wasn’t really sure what to expect but I really loved everything about this herb. Right off the bat reminded me of PBB’s london poundcake, but a bit heavier on the indica side of things, rich where the LPC is sweet, reminding me very much of the biscotti strain but more unique.

The high was felt immediately in the chest and behind the eyes on inhale, with that classic lung expansion that the heavy smokers are always seeking out. High was heavy but not debilitating, not quite knock you out at bedtime but perfect for some late night tv/movies/videogames. Burn was super clean and had zero burn issues. Would absolutely buy this again

Franklin at Classics was kind enough to throw in some of this stuff as a sample on my last order, which was much appreciated! At first I was a little skeptical about this strain I can’t lie, seeing as I’m not usually a fan of blue crosses, and sunset sherbet usually gives me headaches so I thoug...ht I was set up for disappointment, but I’ve been very pleasantly surprised by this one.

Visually a little bit scraggly but absolutely coated in trichomes, and with a smell that reminds me of the purple reign i got from them a while back, as well as another strain I have tried before called Night Nurse. The nose is just straight purple with an almost chemical-y smell that I for some reason associate with nail polish haha. Luckily the taste is quite a bit more subtle, and I actually have found myself enjoying the taste on this one more and more each time. Definitely not the kind of terps I usually go after, but one thing I remember about the other 2 strains that smelled like this is that they got me fuckin blasted. Happy to report that this one is no different. Just an absolutely perfect mid day high that I find myself going for every day as my after work joint. Super uplifting and clearheaded, but with just enough of a narcotic effect that you just feel absolutely in the pocket after smoking this. The kinda high that just makes me feel really happy to be in the moment, which can sometimes be a rare thing. Really appreciate having this stuff in my stash to help me through the bad days

NC’s Dirty Banana from last year was absolutely one of my favourite smokes of all time, specifically top 3 daytime smokes for me, so when I saw Stashbox was getting this in, I got some major weed fomo as I was out of country. Thankfully the folks at SB put a little bit of each pheno aside for me w...hich was a lovely homecoming gift to say the least haha.

I’d recently read a review saying that this stuff was full of seeds and a terrible smoke, so I definitely got a bit nervous. I also feel like I’d hyped this strain up so much in my mind over the last year that no matter what I would be disappointed. I am happy to admit that I am absolutely pleased with this stuff. I’m not trying to discount the other reviewers experience, but this stuff really reminds me very much of last years batch. Same gummy, sticky to the touch buds that are just coated in trichomes. Same creamy banana nose, though I think this one has a more (subtly) cheesy undertone than the outright sweet candy blast that i remember from the one last year, but it’s really tough to say on memory alone. Taste is also maybe a bit more subtle than I remember, but that kushy banana flavour is for sure there.

The high is also exactly as I remember, and the reason I loved DB11 so much in the first place. It gets me exactly where I need to be, that absolutely contented kind of high but very peripheral, allowing me to get on with my day and feel stoned as hell without feeling like I SEEM stoned as hell. Good stuff for my outdoor job, just really functional but satisfying.

I can’t say I notice a huge difference between phenos except that the 8 seems a bit more gassy maybe? but I’ve been smoking way more of the 11 and it’s not like I’m smoking them both back to back while taking notes haha. Overall I am extremely happy with this stuff. It was a bit of an emotional rollercoaster going from incredibly excited to very nervous when I saw that last review lol. I’m not gonna deny the person’s experience at all, but I’ll just say mine has been way different. If I could say one bad thing about this drop is that it might not be QUITE as mindblowing a smoke as I remember, but sometimes memory is just like that, and as i mentioned it’s tough to meet expectations of something you have hyped for so long!

Also worth noting (I prob shoulda mentioned this at the beginning) is that I have yet to find a single seed, though I’ve only smoked a few grams so far. I’ll definitely update if I do find any though as I’m really not trying to take sides one way or the other. Just want to be honest about my experience!

A really decent trip, this has been a go-to morning smoke for me for the last little while. While it’s certainly not my favorite currently in my stash, I find it perfectly acceptable as a daily driver. Not super potent, but it burns extremely clean and has a really pleasant menthol taste that I en...joy quite a bit, and for the price I got it at it is definitely a solid deal. I was smoking the gwiz from HGA for a while as a cheap go-to, but after a few ounces got a little tired of the strain, and this was a nice change. Not sure if I’ll buy it again right away as it is a very specific taste that can get a little bit tiresome after smoking too much of it, but I can definitely see myself grabbing it again in the future at some point.

Overall 7/10, but gains major points in the value department

This one has been getting a ton of hype on here but unfortunately I missed it the first time around, so I actually ended up jumping on the Phat Pharmers drop and grabbing some FFC since I was very curious about the strain. I absolutely loved it, but not one week later, classics gets in ANOTHER batch... from Gas Godz and I just couldn’t resist grabbing some of this and comparing. Those who have tried Phat Pharmer ANYTHING know that he is a hiiiigh bar to meet, and his FFC is one of the better strains I have tried from him but after a full weekend of enjoying both, I can confidently say that I like this one just a bit more.

First off, the smell: maybe it’s just the power of suggestion/word association or whatever, but this strain reminds me of sugary breakfast cereal, specifically frosted flakes and fruit loops. I know a lot of people throw the fruit loops smell around, but this shit reeeally smells like fruit loops. It’s the kind of weed I want to show to non smokers who don’t necessarily understand or appreciate just how complex and amazing this plant can be. Distill this smell into perfume and I will happily buy a bottle for my girl haha. It’s truly a pleasure on the nose.

Taste is exactly the same as the smell, just full blast sweet fruit icing on the tongue with just a hint of that gassiness the oldschool stoners still chase so you won’t have any old heads talking shit about how weed used to smell/taste in the good ol days. Just pass them the jar or a spliff of this and watch them immediately shut the fuck up and just enjoy an example of this plant in its prime.

The high is just absolutely - and i try to use this term sparingly - in the pocket. It gets you exactly where you need to be at any time. You feel it expand beautifully in the chest immediately upon inhale, and behind the eyes on the exhale. I think the reason i love this one just a bit more than the Phat Pharms one is because it’s slightly heavier on the indica side, but that little bit goes a long way for me as sometimes the headier stuff gives me a headache or can send me down a weird thought process if i don’t smoke it at the right time. This one just knocks all the potential bad effects out. I can smoke it mid day and not have to pass out, or i can smoke it late at night and feel perfectly in tune with whatever i am doing and not feel wired or anxious.

Anyways i can really go on and on about this. It’s a straight up 10/10 and likely my favorite smoke of the year (sorry baby yoda!). This is that real stuff and I’d seriously put this up in my all time mental weed hall of fame haha. Amazing job GG, can’t wait to try some more from them one day

Another really impressive one from classics, who have become one of my go-to local delivery services as of late. This one came recommended, and he was right when he told me I wouldn’t be able to stop smelling this stuff. Straight up some of the best smelling weed I have had in a while, reminding m...e of one of my all time favourite strains, kush mints, with that kushy bowl of fruit loops smell that is absolutely addicting.

As you can tell, these buds are stupid frosty. Like, frosty to the point where they are difficult to photograph because the light just reflects off of the trichomes. Nugs are incredibly dense, and all chunky good sized buds making up the quarter.

Burn is very clean but a bit harsh on the throat compared to the ice burn, but still a very decent smoke. Flavour is a bit dialed down compared to that incredible smell, but that’s sometimes the case and i still found its subtlety very enjoyable.

The high i’d say is something like a 70/30 indica, just enough to put you on your ass and turn you into a tv zombie, but not quite heavy enough to put you to bed. For that reason alone i think i’ve been smoking this one a bit more conservatively, as i tend to use more even hybrids til bed, when i pull out the really heavy stuff. But for that pre-PRE bedtime joint, you know, the one you smoke an hour or two before bed to unwind and enjoy some tv or a book before the actual bedtime joint to put you on your ass...that is, if you are a complete degenerate like myself of course haha.

Anyways, all round really good stuff. 8/10 for me, and classics customer service gets a 10/10 for me every time as he is really a pleasure to deal with

This one is really lovely. Beautiful, frosty nugs cured to perfection that just coat your fingers in resin when you give em a squish. Every time I crack the jar and give it a sniff, i can’t help but thinking of juicy fruit gum mixed with ever so subtle hints of spearmint.

When i rolled... one up for the first time, first thing that came to mind is how much this reminds me of headwater’s baby yoda (which I’m sure we all know or at least heard by now is some of the best cannabis of the last couple years) and lo and behold, when i looked this strain up it turns out that it has one of the same parent strains, the menthol.

For those that have tried the baby yoda, both the flavor and high are very much along the same lines on this one. Flavor is definitely a bit more subtle here, not as minty but just incredibly clean and fresh tasting is the only way i can describe it, like smoking some baby yoda through a massive ice chamber; not as distinct or refined on the palette, but every bit as pleasurable in every other department.

The high is that same “in the pocket” stone as well, the kind of high i feel like I am always chasing where everything just kind of feels right in the world for a lil bit, at least in the comfort of your own cozy little space. Reading, watching tv, listening to music...whatever you are doing, this stuff just enhances the mundanity of a lazy day into something a little better. And I do emphasize, be prepared for laziness, but fuck it...you deserve a day to yourself homie. Just call it a “self care” day or something !

A favorite to many for good reason. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and again, this is still the best sativa I ever had. I was hoarding the last couple nugs of my ounce from months ago like I was the dragon from the hobbit sitting on a pile of treasure. Only when i saw this go on sale... did i allow myself to finally smoke the last little bit haha. It’s just the kind of weed I never want to be without, just knowing i have a stash of this stuff brings great calm to my every day state of mind lol. Tastes like all the things everyone has said before me: grape fruit, root beer, heaven. Also if you smoke this with your partner you are almost guaranteed to have some extra sexy times. This weed just makes you feel GOOD, and really seems to heighten all the senses while still keeping your head on straight

This one has very quickly become a favorite for me, the kind of staple strain I would like to have at all times for when I just need something mellow to smoke. I was waiting around for it to go back on sale after my first ounce and even had an email notification set up, and somehow didn’t realize ...that it was on sale in the smalls section for a while, so i jumped on that without hesitation.

As i mentioned, i find this one a perfect any time strain. Sometimes i want to get real baked and pull out the exotics, but sometimes I just need a joint (of any kind) and this one always fits the bill. Earthy and very distinct taste that reminds me of Sacred Gardens Polynesian Thin Mints. Easy on the lungs, clean burning, and a high that is just perfectly balances. It has the uplifting positivity of a sativa, with enough indica to let you just chill out and enjoy the wave of euphoria. I’ll keep getting this one every time as long as the price is right
