White Runtz Papaya is the third flower I’ve tried from Omega3 Farms. This strain is perhaps the most well rounded offering I’ve had from the grower. I’ve come to expect benchmark level level quality and consistency from Omega3, this quarter of White Runtz Papaya more than lived up to those exp...ectations.
Bag appeal with Omega3 is a little different than most current craft offerings. If you’re used to giant dense boulders you’d probably walk away disappointed after looking at White Runtz Papaya. I’ve found Omega3 buds air on the smaller side, however they’re all immaculately trimmed and wonderfully cured. This flower in particular had a beautifully vibrant colour palette, dense full headed trichomes and a soft perfectly squishy texture. Everything about the look of this bud screamed “smoke me please, I am fire”.
White Runtz Papaya brings a remarkably pronounced terp profile that translates like no other flower currently on the market. Think over-ripened tropical fruit soaked in gas. That profile comes through wonderfully in the nose and somehow gets even more pronounced in the smoke.
High like most flower from this growers leans on the potent side. However, it’s strength is in no way debilitating. Like the Sunset Octane I had prior, this White Runtz Papaya seemingly amplified every situation. It felt as though my senses were heightened, and my brain was sharper. All of this was complimented by a euphoric rush of sedative energy throughout my body that blissfully welcomed me into a deep state of relaxation. I preferred this as a nighttime treat, but honestly go ahead and smoke this whenever, it’ll just make things better.
Omega3 Farms has become my benchmark for modern craft cannabis. Expect an unrivalled terpene profile, clean hard hitting potency, smooth greasy burn, and gorgeous ash structure. Essentially everything a true connoisseur looks for in their flower. This isn’t for everyone, definitely other growers producing stuff of similar quality at a cheaper price. However, Omega3 might be the most consistent in the game right now.
This jar of 70u - 149u cold cured Runtz Live Rosin by 33rd Degree Extraction has been siting in my stash for an embarrassingly long time. I suspected it would be fire, and I have a weird habit of wanting to save the best for last. My suspicions rang true, this jar was sublime and easily ranks as one... of the best solventless products I’ve ever tried.
This jar was from the batch produced sometime around December 2022. Honestly, I was slightly worried cracking the lid. I half suspected mold or some fowl smells. To my surprise the rosin inside was absolutely pristine. Miron jars and storing in a fridge seemingly kept this product exactly the same as the day it was packaged. I have a few other unopened jars in my collection that are even older, they are also packaged in miron. This jar of Runtz has given me hope that they all will be just fine.
Texture and consistency of this rosin was like whipped butter. Terp puddles pooled after a quick mix and brought the whole thing truly back to life. I found this jar to be an absolute pleasure to work with. It left very little residue and required minimal cleanup.
Terps on jar were fantastic. It’s hard to give words that would do it justice. I will say this flavour profile is right up my alley, and it was easy for me to fall in love. Nose was fruity sour gas. Taste was quite a bit more complex. I found the sourness mellowed out and transitioned into something more creamy. Both nose and taste did however have that wonderful candy fruit terp profile that was the clear star of the show.
High was another standout aspect of this jar. I found it to be that perfect balance of cerebral euphoria and physical relaxation. This was a great jar to grab when I wanted to focus in on a specific task. Reading graphic novels in my backlog, watching the new season of The Mandolorian, getting my ass repeatedly handed to me by Malenia in Elden Ring were things I enjoyed doing after dabbing this jar of Runtz.
I’m trying to think of a rosin I’ve had that is better, I can’t come up with one. I guess this is the advantage of being a novice in the solventless arena. Things will still blow me away, I’m sure I haven’t stumbled on the best option in Canada, but it certainly is the best I’ve tried. This jar has me excited to try not only more from 33rd Degree Extractions but also dive even deeper down the solventless rabbit hole.
This will be the second batch of Frosted Fruit Cake by GasGodz I’ve tried. Not much new to say here so I’ll keep it short for once.
Bag appeal on my quarter was slightly better this round. Buds had essentially the exact same look with a vast array of colours and a dense coverage of t...richomes. Definitely very pretty flower, not gonna blow your doors off in the bag appeal department. But certainly not gonna disappoint either. The flower felt fresher this run as well, I did get the FFC essentially day of drop so perhaps that helped?
Terps I found were less pronounced this batch, not to say that it lacked flavour. However coming from what I had prior, this batch doesn’t compare in nose or taste. I picked up subtle fruity notes with a touch of dank gas. It felt like this batch was missing that leftover cereal milk flavour I fell in love with on the prior run of FFC. Would love to hear what others who had both batches think, might just be a me thing with the muted terpene profile on the 2nd FFC run.
Burn and high again are both phenomenal and I have nothing to complain about in that regard. Ash was a respectable shade of greyish white, burn was smooth and consistent. This flower is a great anytime of the day smoke for me, it makes everything you are doing that much better.
Not much love here for expensive pot, especially expensive pot purchased from Classics. This FFC by GasGodz however is remarkable flower that’s worth trying out anytime you see it on a menu. Hopefully next batch is closer to the first experience I had, but even a weaker run like this still rates as a superb smoking experience in my book.
Finally took the plunge and decided to try this rather elusive and often times hotly debated grower. My quarter of Sunset Octane was purchased from Classics, and is a sativa dominant hybrid strain created through crossing Sunset Sherbet and High Octane OG BX3. I’d imagine at first glance and judgi...ng solely off my crude pictures would have many here quick to assume this is overpriced and definitely overrated. Others might see the shake and deem that unacceptable for the price I’m paying. I however feel quite satisfied with this purchase, and will absolutely hunt for more flower from this grower in the future. Hopefully I can explain why I feel it’s worth it, but it’s absolutely one of those things you have to experience for yourself because words and pictures don’t really do this flower justice.
Bag appeal for the most part was underwhelming. My quarter consisted of a handful of dense and rather dry buds. Upon closer inspection this strain did start to win me over. Full headed trichomes and wispy short pistils cover flower that had a primarily bright green hue. My biggest gripe with the bag appeal is the excessive amount of sugar leaves I found at the bottom of my jar. I was told this is not uncommon with Omega3 Farms flower as they tend to cure longer and also trim less. Do I think that makes it acceptable? Not really. However I’d be the first to admit I’m not an expert on cannabis cultivation, trimming or curing. I’ve tried flower from a few different growers that I would consider “craft” quality, and I hadn’t experienced this excess shake problem till now. Apparently GasGodz has a similar methodology but I haven’t had this issue from him personally. Again I’m not an expert these growers all have their different systems and standards. I’d need to try more from Omega3 farms to see if it truly is a recurring theme.
Now back to why I think this flower is worth trying out. The terps are here and they are fucking loud. Incredibly dank and pronounced gassy aromas greet you immediately upon opening the jar. That pungent smell would often times linger for what seemed like hours after I was done rolling a joint or fiddling around with pictures. The gassy notes while most pronounced are not the only aromas present. This bud was very complex, especially when ground up. Multiple scents battling for your attention. It’s hard to really pin down, but if I were to describe it I would say candy soaked in gasoline. This batch of Sunset Octane was utterly intoxicating, if I hadn’t met the Haze just recently I would call this the best nose I’ve ever experienced from flower. Taste is a mirror of the smell with a sweeter finish and less sharpness from the gas.
Burn was smooth, smoke was thick but had zero harshness. Ash was clean white, and joints got very resinous immediately. Flavour was also fantastic till the bitter end. Smoking experience on this flower gets zero complaints from me. Absolute pleasure all around.
Now here’s the part I was honestly most excited to talk about. The high on this Sunset Octane is really something else. It was straight euphoria in smoke form. I’m going to compare to the OG Haze and Afghani I had from AFWW because they also happened to be extremely potent. This Sunset Octane while matching those flowers in potency didn’t ever take me to a bad place, the more I smoked the happier I got. With the AFWW flower I found at times it was almost too much. Sunset Octane filled me with good vibes, had me buzzing for hours after partaking, and had zero lethargic burnout effects. I have a funny feeling I’ll be chasing this high for awhile, definitely hadn’t experienced anything like it before. This would be a great daytime smoke for a veteran, but probably a bit much for a novice.
Not sure how people are going to react to this review. I’d imagine many will see the shake and deem it unacceptable for the price, or look at the buds and claim they’ve purchased better looking pot from buyweedpacks. Omega3 farms is certainly not for everyone. It’s connoisseur smoke for the savvy head who wants the zaza, or the rich dick with a “money is no object mindset”. Could Franklin provide more info on the site to help potential customers make better more informed decisions? Yes absolutely. But my guess is he doesn’t really want the average customer just looking to get the most fucked for the cheapest price buying this weed. I would suggest trying Omega3 Farms if you’re willing to educate yourself first, learn about the strains, ask Franklin for advice on what to get, follow the grower on Instagram. Some may see my suggestions as ridiculous, maybe they are? All I know is I’m completely willing to do the little dance and play the little game in hopes of securing more flower from Omega3 Farms in the future.
Apparently I’ve saved the best for last, because out of all the GasGodz flower I’ve tried thus far this cut of FFC stands head and shoulders above the rest.
Purchased this quarter for $80 from Franklin over at Classics, again another high tag comparatively. This flower however in my ...opinion justifies that inflated sticker price by being a near flawless representation of the strain. My bag was made up of a couple large nugs and some decent sized popcorn. Beautiful colours on the buds and an incredibly dense coverage of trichomes throughout. Terps on this flower are remarkable. Fruit loops that have been soaking in milk for a little too long. That unique profile comes through both in the aromas and taste.
Burn and high are also exceptional. I found zero issues with my joints, everything was above and beyond my expectations. The high was really interesting with this strain. I found it was honestly whatever I wanted it to be. It complimented everything perfectly, made anything I happened to be doing at the time that much better.
Again I guess it always comes down to “is it worth the price?” with GasGodz. I’d have to say with this particular strain, absolutely yes. I’m blown away by just about everything with this flower. I only wish I had more, and that it was slightly fresher. Definitely can’t say this is for everyone, I’m sure once again with enough searching you could find comparable quality for cheaper. However, for connoisseurs or people simply curious to try GasGodz out this FFC is a terrific choice.
Giving GasGodz flower another shot. This quarter of Headphone Jam was $80 and purchased from Franklin over at Classics. My first time trying a GasGodz strain was mostly underwhelming, this particular run of Headphone Jam continues that streak with another mostly underwhelming experience.
...>This flower shines in the flavour and aromas department. Sour almost over ripened fruit at first, then a wave of doughy gas on the backend. I find it remarkable this weed was terpy at all, considering the flower was very dry, and clearly from the very bottom of the bag.
Burn and high are both phenomenal. My joints smoked perfectly with a solid oil ring and a greyish white ash. High was that perfect balance of relaxing and euphoric. It doesn’t completely overwhelm me with a heavy sedative feeling like the GMB. The Headphone Jam high instead provided a pleasant, carefree, full bodied buzz that complimented just about any task or adventure I threw at it.
Slightly conflicted feelings overall with this flower from GasGodz. I do think it’s an improvement over the Gas Mask Bubba. However it lacks in freshness, and honestly should have been sold at a reduced price. For $80 a quarter I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect perfection across the board. Freshness, loud terpenes, and solid nugs everytime. My quarter zip of Headphone Jam had a few of those things, but didn’t check all the boxes.
So I did it. I Bought the stupidly expensive Kind cartridge, see if they live up to the hype. Honestly I wanted to find a reason to hate this .5g of Funfetti Cake #3 Live Rosin by Kind. At $75 from Cannapanda this carts tag is higher than pretty much any other legacy label, and most LPs as well. For... this price I expected everything to be perfect, and for it to be noticeably better than anything I’ve tried thus far. It was all those things and more. Definitely a noticeable step-up in quality from my past cartridge experiences.
Terps on this are easily the most pronounced I’ve ever had from any cart FSE, rosin, or resin. This live rosin has the most incredible gassy orange rind flavour. I joked with a few friends if this was a blind taste test I would probably assume this contained some sort of distillate. It doesn’t make sense these flavours came strictly from flower. I found this also hit better than any other cartridge I’ve smoked. In my past experiences rosin tended to clog up more often. This Kind hardware does not suffer from those issues. Very smooth pulls with little to no resistance.
High is heavy and essentially the same as a good Kind dab, 3 pulls off my battery at 2.4v is enough to get me very stoned. I generally use carts for my daily smoke as it’s convenient and discreet. Can’t really do this with the Kind cart, I find it to be too potent. I’m a lightweight though, so results may vary in this regard. My biggest issue with cartridges has always been the high feels “less than” or primarily cerebral in effect. I think this Kind cartridge is the first time I’ve tried a pen style product that truly matched if not surpassed the high I get from most flower and dabs.
It’s hard to fully recommend this product purely due to the inflated price. I haven’t tried enough legacy products to truly label this best in class. I’ve heard Sugr puts out great gear, also still need to try NFC and Ganjawise. Maybe something can be found that’s comparable for a cheaper price. However, if you want a remarkable experience guaranteed, or perhaps you want to treat yourself, Kind carts are an excellent choice. This is without a doubt the best cartridge I’ve ever smoked. It will be very hard to ever go back to legal or switch to another legacy brand. I can’t see how cartridges would get any better than this.
This FSE is a very interesting collaboration that brings together a well regarded legacy grower 39NattyGreen, who provided the Blueberry Runtz flower with arguably the best solvent extractors in Canada over at Kind who processed said flower into a FSE.
Baller jars of this Blueberry Runtz... mix and the Animal Mints x Gelatti are both tagged at $140. It’s been too long since I’ve dabbed Kind gear, and boy did I ever miss this level of quality. Immediately upon opening the jar you’re hit with the most inviting smell of blueberry pancakes soaked in dank gas. It honestly blows me away when I get jars like this, and it isn’t reaching matching the name to the nose or taste. The jar is made up of large salt shaped granules covered in a thin very runny amber honey coloured sauce.
I dabbed using my DTV4 and found 390° to 480°F gave me the best mix of dense clouds and pronounced flavours. Working with this FSE was a bit of a hassle everything tended to get sticky quickly. High was seriously heavy but didn’t put me in a couch lock or dull my senses. This was a great dab for when I wanted to focus in on one specific thing/task.
Solid price for a Kind jar and it’s an interesting collab? Not sure why this FSE is cheaper than the mainline Kind FSE baller jars on Cannapanda. I think it’s a great product. Pretty much everything you could hope for out of a solvent style extract.
Haven’t picked up gear from OG in a minute, this half zip of Black Garlic was part of a recent drop listed for $60 and rated as AAA. I was pleasantly surprised by what I received. The flower exceed my expectations in just about every aspect. Packaging was adequate triple bagged vac sealed mylar ba...g. Flower had terrific bag appeal considering its trip rating. Buds had a soft semi sticky texture complimented by a dense coverage of trichomes and long wispy pistils. My bag consisted of 3 larger nugs (pictured) and some decently sized popcorn to make up the remaining weight. Nose was meh for me personally but definitely prominent. I found it to be earthy and grassy. Taste was garlicky and peppery on the backend. No issues with burn quality. Ash was chalky white and j’s got decently greasy the more I smoked. High hits like any good indica, perfect strain for unwinding relaxing your body and mind after a long day. Not much to report as far as negative criticism with this pickup. Price was fair, bag appeal probably exceeds its rating on site, taste is pleasant, joints burned clean.
Violet Fog #9 is one of I think around 11 phenos grown by brokekidgrows. OG grabbed this cut and a handful of others. I can safely say this is quality smoke despite the lack of terps. Bag appeal is off the chains, truly stunning buds. Great uniform and consistent shape, colours are deep purple and ...dark green. Trichomes covering every square inch of the flower. Visually this is quad bud all day everyday. Things start to fall off when you go in for a whiff, nose is decent. I felt it was citrusy, think orange pulp with a touch of sour gas. Taste like the nose was subdued. Almost non existent tbh. Burn was very clean, no issues with joints going out, or ash being too dark. The only real negative aspect with this bag is the lack of terps. That for some is understandably a deal breaker, I wasn’t too sad about it considering every other aspect of this bud met or exceeded my expectations. Price was in my opinion a steal of a deal at $85 for the half zip. Similar MoMs had other phenos listed for around $30 more. Glad to see OG bringing in some great smoke from reputable growers. I would gladly purchase this again. Do not grab this pheno if you’re a flavour chaser. Budget quad seekers who want clean smoke, this bags for you!
