\[The Gentle Herb\] Blue Hawaiian Skunk Indica Review | 4.6 / 5 | [Microscopic Photo](https://www.safebud.wiki/review/280/blue-hawaiian-skunk-indica-an-appetizing-name-of-some-our-favor...ite-strains-sweet-hawaiian-and-stinky)
An appetizing name of some our favorite strains ... sweet hawaiian and stinky Skunk #1. A sample of 11-17% (medium to high) this bud IS priced pretty high but labelled a quad ...
Out of the jar the smell is very TROPICAL, SWEET, not far off from pineapple express.. a very candy like smell. The outside is quite frosty and coated with a nice, lighter orange mix of red hairs. A dense (once again similar to other tropical strains) strain that doesn’t leave much room near the core.
In the center is a lighter, orange color overall, still dense, but not as frosty. Cracking it open we start to get that skunky aroma which we didn’t get before. This skunky, sweet, hawaiian smell is a really nice combination but still dominated by the hawaiian.
Grinding it up the bud is quite light in color, with noticeable amounts of red hairs. A VERY sticky bud (to my hand, to itself) and leaves my fingers sticky. The smell is now about 60/40 TROPICAL/SWEET & Stinky, skunky odor ... almost a bitter smell complimenting the candy sweetness. It’s almost a lingering skunk stickiness that hangs in the air after grinding.
In the vape the taste was VERY dominant. No need to get it past the low temperatures of 185 which lasted the entire session. An almost ’overpowering’ sweet flavor throughout, followed by a flowery, perfumy flavor. Finally a bit of bitterness, then hints of skunk (fast food, chinese food flavor) that finished up the vape alongside a spicy taste/sensation. Even left the tongue/throat a bit spicy ... something we’ve attributed before to strong strains (but usually not this spicy). An ambitious thing to say but one of the strongest combination of flavors we’ve seen so far which goes well with the strong effects we’re already feeling.
Burning it in the pipe we’re left with a dark grey, black ash. The smoking experience was a bit harsh but a bit of spice did pull through alongside the tropical and hints of skunk. The effects were a very heavy, pleasant indica: strong body buzz, slows you down, droopy eyelids, but doesn’t get you depressed or deflated, keeps you happy and attentive. This strength goes hand in hand with the very sticky nature of the bud.
Overall, not a quad as advertised, but close to it. Great smell, unique combination of strains, with a nice looking bud, great taste in the vape, and strong happy effects. The only downside was the less-than-perfect smoothness and dark ash color but something that I thoroughly enjoyed simply as they were a combination of some of my favorite flavors.

\[Cannabis Vapes\] Gelato Hybrid CO2 Oil Review | 4.5 / 5 | [Original Review](https://www.safebud.wiki/review/279/gelato-hybrid-its-been-a-while-since-weve...-checked-out-concentrates-shatter-honeycomb-budder-so-this-)
It’s been a while since we’ve checked out concentrates (shatter, honeycomb budder) so this time was nice we got a free sample of CO2 oil. Even tho we got it in the disposable one time use cartridges we decided to transfer it to the Pico and save the cartridge for another day.
From the cartridge the oil looks quite darker than the shatter we’ve seen before, more of a dark brown tint. Once we extracted it and spread it out in the container it yielded a much more golden, amber color, tho a bit darker than other concentrates we saw.
Tossing it in the vape (and blast it at 430) the oil instantly liquifies (much faster than shatter/budder) with a pretty clean burn overall .. almost no leftovers visible in the vape bucket. On a q-tip tho the color remains more of a golden color compared to the darker remains we’ve seen before.
The smell is much more sweet and flowery once vaped; a more pleasant smell than other concentrates... a nice change from the usual baked goods smell we’ve come across before.
Vaping it was quite an enjoyable experience ... the taste lasted start to finish (much longer than what we expected). The taste was consistent throughout and didn’t disappear right away. A very minty, floral and quite skunky/stinky flavors. A few tokes were quite ’food’-like with food spices. Despite this the ’floral’ and ’minty’ flavors were the most dominant.
This oil was much harder to work with than shatter and honeycomb (probably why the other two are so popular). With this in mind the taste lasted much longer than the other concentrates (perhaps the others burned faster) but it felt like you were getting more out of less with this.
The effects were a pretty strong hybrid: awake, a bit slower thinking, no body buzz, no anxiety, just a relax, dumbed out, buzzing-behind-the-eyes, hearing enhancements. Not the most mind blowing effects but still satisfactory.
Overall a good first ’oil’ we’ve examined which seemed to be a good choice. With a longer lasting flavor (personally) we enjoyed it more with fewer leftovers and almost instant melt.

\[The High Club\] Lambs Bread Sativa Review | 4.4/5 | [Microscope Photos](https://www.safebud.wiki/review/277/lambs-bread-sativa-keeping-in-mind-this-strain-is-one-of-my-go-to-for-daily-...smoke-and-is-also-often-)

Keeping in mind this strain is one of my go-to for daily smoke and is also often crossed with many strains when they need that ’sativa’-ish effect. From blueberry breath to blackberry breath it’s quite common to see.
Out of the jar we get a very ’doughy’, ’grassy’, ’fresh’, ’light’ smell ... a bit woodsy but most dominant is that wheat smell. Imagine fresh bread rising in the kitchen kind of smell.
Looking closer at the bud we see it’s composed of long, dominant stems .. a thinner, taller bud with a very light green color of the bud and very dark red hairs (although few and short in count). A very frosty bud nonetheless with a lot of the crystals and red hairs present close to that core, probably due to it’s messy, fluffy looking nature of the bud. It’s pretty well trimmed but not perfect, a bit branchy, perhaps to the rumors I heard it was a Jamaican style strain that naturally is so airy and leafy. Cracking it open also gives us a floral, sweet smell we didn’t get out of the jar.
Grinding it we get very little bud for the nug we put in, meaning its quite an airy, fluffy bud. The color is overall very light green with a good shine from the crystals. A few stems left in the ground up bud which is expected considering how it looked before we put it in. The bud ground up is very sticky, almost like playdough and sticks to my hand and to itself, leaving my fingers quite sticky. Smelling it we now get a very ’spirit’, alcohol smell that we normally associate with higher end strains.
In the vape we get a VERY strong earthy, woods, bitter, flavor that lasts the entire smoke. Even at 185 we don’t need to change the temp as the flavor is so everlasting. The bitterness goes well with a morning coffee which makes it an even better daily morning smoke. We did get a bit of a bread/wheat flavor but not as much as the other strains. Already we feel a bit energetic from the vape which is always a good sign.
Smoking it from the pipe we’re left with a light grey/dark grey ash. The smoking experience was pretty smooth, but not THE smoothest. We did get a LOT of that earthy, woodsy flavor pull through (much better than just getting burned ash taste). We did get a bit of a skunky/pungent taste as well, tho minor, it was def there.
The effects kicked in right away: energy, having your mind race a lot, wakes you up, a GOOD mood, euphoric, a picker-upper perfect if you’re burned out or tired. A good follow up if you’ve been smoking all day OR just started smoking in the mornings. Now because we’ve been smoking this so often we did notice a bit of a burn out but hard to attribute to the strain or the fact that we drink it with coffee. Asking other people about it they said it’s simply ’Jamaican strains’ :D
Overall an interesting strain that def. changes my perception of sativas that normally give me anxiety. This being a much more even-high with controllable effects that don’t get you wrecked for the whole day nor does it make you too anxious. This is a good first step into examining more ’bread’ or ’breath’ strains and seeing how they’re crossed with other strains (even Blueberry, an indica) which is sure to bring in some of these good feelings in with other smokes.

\[Canna Leaf\] Nuken Indica Review | 3.5/5 | [Microscopic Photos](https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=video_description&v=qkJHhKndtAc&redir_token...=QX9SWAGjIORsMMAQaaie3DYezCZ8MTU2MTcyODkxMEAxNTYxNjQyNTEw&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.safebud.wiki%2Freview%2F272%2Fnuken-indica-another-nuken-purposely-chose-quite-soon-after-the-last-to-be-a-proper-comparison-and-p)
Another nuken purposely chose quite soon after the last to be a proper comparison and pretty similarly priced ... so should be interesting to see how many of the characteristics carried over.
This bud maintained more of a traditional ’normal’ looking bud: a dominant stem, quite long, squishy, leafy compared to the last which was almost no stem but very hard like styrofoam. Quite well trimmed (but not perfect) this bud is one of the more common, typical looking ones. Another interesting thing to note is this was much easier to squeeze and handle than the last. Trying to pinch the top allowed it to stick together and had a bit of give, quite different than what we saw before.
Similar to the last, the smell was quite similar: fruity, tropical, lemon/acidic (perhaps pine?) and a slight clay/earthy smell.
Cracking it open we see this color is maintained quite nicely to the core, revealing a nice, strong, green stem. Due to the nature of the bud the red hairs are quite evenly distributed and remain quite frosty even close to the core. They also seem a tad bit longer/brighter but not by much and not so long to be dangling off it.
Grinding it up we get a good ratio of green to red hairs, giving it an off-color brown appearance. The bud is extremely sticky to itself and my hands (a nice characteristic). The smell once again is strong, fruity, tropical, sweet, acidic and a hint of that clay/earth smell. The only big difference between the two strains was this one was much stickier and slightly darker bud color, otherwise nearly identical.
In the vape, once again, an INITIAL strong taste of sweet, tropical, just like how it smelled, but QUICKLY disappears. This, being at 185, left us with a much more muted, oaky, earthy, ’neutral’ flavor. Cranking it up to 195 we still get more of this neutral, earthy flavor. A slight tingling at the back of the throat (perhaps a pepper flavor?) but nothing too drastic or noticable.
After smoking it we’re left with a light grey to dark grey ash, almost identical to the last. Smoking it, once again, was quite disappointing with a very harsh smoke, hard on the lungs. We once again got a BIT of the sweet/tropical taste near the beginning but overall was hard to finish.
On the plus side this strain seemed to have a very indica, body buzz, relaxed, but puts you in a good mood. Furthermore, the effects are much stronger than the last with a longer lasting peak. In that sense I was quite impressed ...
Perhaps due to the low price the two strains turned out to be nearly identical. Having great smells, a harsh smoke and quickly disappearing flavor were by far the main points of these strains. Perhaps in the future we really see what the higher end nukens are like and would be an interesting comparison once we DO come across it.

**\[KingTuts\] Nuken Indica Review | 3.3/5 |** [Microscope Photos](https://www.safebud.wiki/review/271/nuken-indica-nuken-seems-to-be-one-of-the-most-popular-flowers-used-for-concentrate...s-that-weve-seen-)
Nuken seems to be one of the most popular flowers used for concentrates that we’ve seen (shatter, honeycomb, live resin, etc) but haven’t seen too much talk about the flower itself. Figure this 99$ / oz from kingtuts is a good start and should set the foundation for future (maybe more expensive) Nuken herb.
Out of the jar we get a smell almost identical to the concentrates: tangy, sweet, tropical flavors. The buds themselves are very hard, very styrofoam, which from what I was told is a normal thing for it. A very smooth, well trimmed, with a decent amount of red hairs (but shorter). Overall a light green/orange tint to it. Trying to crack it open is also difficult and yields a tropical and ’clay/earth’ smell which differentiates it from other tropical smelling buds we’ve seen before. So far it seems to be a bud grown for the mass/smell/taste as we haven’t seen buds that are quite this dense and packed.
Grinding it up yields a darker brown/green color than before. The dense buds break up to a very large amount in the grinder. We get a more tropical, tangy smell than before (with a hint of that earthy clay smell). Quite sticky to itself and a bit to my hand, tho not THE stickiest we’ve seen.
Vaping at a lower 185 .. the first couple tokes we got a few hints of tropical/sweet taste with some chalky flavors. Shortly after we lost those tastes and got a much more muted/neutral flavor of oak, woodsy, earthy, etc. It was a shame the flavor disappeared so quickly. Even cranking it up to 195 didn’t change the muted flavors nor did it bring that pleasant smelling tropical tangy smell back. A bit disappointing nonetheless.
Smoking it leaves us with a darker, light grey ash. The smoking experience closely matched this as well as it was quite harsh, perhaps the harshest we’ve had in a while, with only a hint of the tropical flavors near the beginning. The effects were a good, solid, strong indica: relaxed, in a good mood, couch lock, laid back. A good effect and smoking experience for day-to-day but maybe not something you’d want to smoke on a daily basis.
Overall with these 99$/oz buds it’s hard to say whether it’s the bud itself that yielded this harsher, less flavorful smoking experience or the nature of the strain itself. This nuken being one of the best smelling, dense, and quite sticky buds it clear that for concentrates this is perfect. On top of that the low price point would def crank this up to a higher-rated bud but we tried to ignore the price point. In the near future it’s important to look at other nukens and compare whether the same smoking experience occurs or does it get better the more you pay for it.

\[Ganjawest\] Gelato Hybrid | 4.4/5 | [Microscopic Photos](https://www.safebud.wiki/review/269/gelato-hybrid-another-gelato-strain-only-means-we-get-a-bette...r-understanding-of-how-different-grows-)
Another Gelato strain only means we get a better understanding of how different grows for different batches affect the strain and which dominant characteristics are carried between all variations. I’ve heard the higher end strains do have an ice cream/sweet smell (but haven’t come across it yet).
Out of the jar we (surprisingly) get a sweet, ice cream smell. Hopefully not just mind games as the smell quickly disappears. The bud has a nice variation of colors: Light greens, dark greens, shorter red hairs, quite shiny .... and very well trimmed. No leaves that aren’t covered in shiny trichomes. Sticky (but not super sticky) when we pinch the bud.
Cracking the bud open we do get quite a light color down to the core .. quite similar to the frostiest tips of the nug. These denser buds to maintain this lighter-color characteristic at the core as we’ve noticed it before. We now get a more gassy/diesel smell with only a HINT of sweetness ... but majority gas. It leaves quite a lot of crystals on my hands when playing around with which is a good sign.
Grinding it up we see the bud to be quite a darker / reddish green, and quite sticky both to my hands and itself. The smell is now quite full bodied: gasy/diesel with a mix of sweet, piney, acidic smell. This sweet diesel is only topped off with a nice floral after-smell .. probably the more unique and pleasant smells we’ve come across in a while.
In the vape the taste was a quite common taste but very strong. At lower temps (185) we got a diesel, creamy, flavor but more important was a STRONG diesel flavor. This common gassy taste was complemented by huge plumes of smokes. But at 195 we got a peppery/spicy itchy-back-of-throat taste. This, in combination with the gassy taste, provided a very unique profile which was quite different than other gelato strains we’ve come across just signifying how different each strain can be from one another.
Smoking it from the pipe we’re left with a darker, with some white specks of ash. The smoking experience matched the ash .. a bit harsh, but we got a lot of smoke and didn’t make me cough or irritate my lungs. The buzz was couch lock, drifting off into space, laid back, daydream, lazy ... much more indica than a 50/50 hybrid. On the plus side we got the diesel taste pull through while smoking and was a good end-of-night smoke. Tho hard to say for sure the THC was pretty close to the ’20%’ advertised.
Overall tho a very common strain it gave a unique vaping taste and quite an interesting smell, well trimmed, frosty and pretty out of the jar. This, coupled with the laid back, solid buzz, provided a pretty good experience overall. Tho not completely identical to the other gelato’s we’ve come across it was quite a nice surprise to get that slight difference in tastes that can only be explained by different growers and different crops.

\[TheGreenAce\] King Louis XIII Indica Review | 4.5 / 5 | [Microscopic Photos](https://www.safebud.wiki/review/268/king-louis-xiii-indica-this-strain-is-a-...trip-back-in-time-as-was-one-of-the-first-strains-we-ever-re)
This strain is a trip back in time as was one of the first strains we ever reviewed (but that time from THC) so it’s nice to look back and see if it’s the same kind of effects and whether our ability to taste and judge has changed much.
From the jar the buds seem leafy, crystally, some red hairs but not many. Pretty well trimmed with only few half-leaves left over. Without hesitation we’re getting a GASSY, hint of SWEETNESS (but pale in comparison). Probably one of the most ’pure’ gas/diesel smells you can really get from buds. We tend to see that the diesel strains are usually a bit stronger than fruity strains so hopefully it remains true.
Cracking it open we get an even stronger gassy smell to the point it almost knocks you back a bit. The buds, tho whole and ’neat’ maintain quite a fluffy non-dense structure meaning we get little discoloration (a bit lighter) to the core and consistent frosty-ness.
Grinding it up we get a bit less than we expected from the 0.6grams but instead if a STICKY bud (sticks to fingers, to itself, leaves hands sounds sticky). This is pretty consistent with other gassy strains we’ve come across with a matching STRONG diesel smell (and perhaps an equally high THC content).
After trying it from the vape we got one of the most UNIQUE combination of flavors we’ve come across. Obvs. diesel flavor was the first we got hit ... with an odd twist. Soon after we got a skunky flavor which was best described as instead of the bitterness of gas/diesel we had a sweeter, more cooked-food flavor which added nicely to the buds spectrum.
From the pipe we get a light grey to dark grey ash. The smoking experience was not THAT smooth (could have been smoother). We got a bit of that diesel flavor, light on the lungs. The effects were pretty heavy indica (no body buzz but rather brain dead) meaning you cold walk around, do chores and not really think too much. Safe to say it was a head-buzz indica effect rather than couch lock body buzz. Effects kicked in right away and continued to creep up over the next 5-10 mins.
Overall, looking back at other King Louis we had the flavors, effects and smells very closely resemble this one from months later. A nice looking bud, strong smell, unique vape combination and tolerable indica effects makes it a solid choice for after-work smokes. Perhaps due to our ability to judge more tastes we get this unique, skunky-ish flavor near the tip of the tongue which was a nice surprise over what would be a boring, run-of-the-mill diesel/gas experience.

\[Speed Greens\] Rockstar Honeycomb Budder Hybrid Indica Review | 4.? / 5 | [HD Photo](https://www.safebud.wiki/review/263/rockstar-honeycomb-budder-hybrid-indica-another-honeycomb-budde...r-in-an-attempt-to-differentiate-betw)
Another honeycomb budder in an attempt to differentiate between the taste and strength of shatter, bud and honeycomb. Last time we looked at it we noticed shatter indeed had a stronger taste and about the same effects. The ’Rockstar’ flower we haven’t seen in a while either (in fact never got it post-legalization) so not sure on it’s natural taste or effects. With this lack of past experience we can assume whatever we taste today closely resembles the natural bud.
Once again the budder maintains the ’honeycomb’ shape with a waxy, crumbly, easy to break off texture. A bit of a pine, flowery smell out of the container but nothing too drastic.
Doing a burn test yields an immediate melt with a dark gold tint left over. A strong smell of sweet baked cookies also emanates from it. Swabbing it out also brings out a lighter golden color after it’s smoked which seems to be a bit lighter than the Gods Green Crack we looked at.
Vaping it at about 450 yielded a much stronger flavor than the last budder we saw; pine, flowery (being the most dominant). The effects were quite strong as they woke me up from being burned out (possibly sativaish) but didn’t get any anxiety or mind racing. The Hybrid-Indica is pretty dead on when describing it as it didn’t get me lazy but at the same time didn’t have be feeling like I had to run around and do things with it.
Overall as we review more budder we can determine a better base of comparison between different flowers and concentrates. Whether its shatter vs budder or budder vs the original flower each seem to have it’s own strengths and weaknesses (which some may include the higher price of concentrates vs flowers).

\[6ixpensary\] Lemon Walker OG Hybrid Review | 3.9/5 | [Microscopic Photos](https://www.safebud.wiki/review/261/lemon-walker-og-hybrid-a-bit-of-a-mystery-bud-not-knowing-much-except-it-w...as-a-hybrid-and-probably-s)
A bit of a mystery bud not knowing much except it was a hybrid and probably smells/tastes like lemon. Not knowing how much THC/CBD either makes it quite an interesting bud to look at.
Out of the jar we don’t get a lemony tangy smell as we thought we would but rather a more citrus/pine smell. Interesting as it still bears quite a lemony smell but a bit easier on the nose.
Though decently well trimmed this bud is quite dense with any red hairs attached and flattened to the bud giving it a lighter green color overall (with some pockets over orange). Oddly when cracking it open even tho it maintains the glisten we get much deeper pockets of red hairs to the core. I can only assume it was quite different before it was dried and cured which would explain the red hairs being so close to the center. Due to this we also get quite a lot of crystals down to the core.
Once we crack it open we get a very tropical, fruity, baked goods smell ... one of the more unique combinations (and appetizing) that we’ve seen so far. While looking closer it becomes apparent this bud is quite sticky and hard to pull apart.
What stood apart about this bud was that it was INCREDIBLY hard to grind; a combination of the squished-appearance and stickiness we observed before. Once it was ground up it yielded a very light green color and an overall shine as we saw before from the crystals. Obviously quite sticky when pinched this bud maintains the shape like playdough when squeezed. The smell is very lemony and sweet once again without that burning acidic smell we’ve seen on other buds. In fact this was a much more well balanced tropical/sweet/lemon smell a combination I’m quite fond of.
Vaping at lower temps (\~175) we got a very sweet, lemon, CANDY, flavor... a good mix of sweet and tropical. When turning it up to our usual 185 the sweetness was quickly replaced by baked goods/cookies taste (a very common flavor we come across). Even at 195 it was almost completely baked goods taste ... would have been great if the tropical flavor lasted a bit longer at higher temps. Easy to excuse because the effects kick in even after a session of vaping (and quite strong) which is a nice bonus and not that common to experience.
Smoking it we’re left with a light grey with some specks of white. This translated to an average smoke with a bit of harshness ... but didn’t get big clouds of smoke because of it. On the plus side quite a bit of that lemony taste pulled through at the end of drags.
The effects are more indica leaning; lazy, relaxed not very social, hard to think, eyes droopy, stones you out. Probably nothing you would wanna go and party with but end of hard day kinda thing. Not my favorite buzz overall but there are many people who need/like this kind of thing.
Overall smells great out of the jar (even more ground up), an ok-taste in the vape as the baked goods was most dominant, smoking it was ..pretty.. smooth with strong indica-like effects which may be your kind of buzz.
