The buds smelt super strong, NATURAL flowery smell, sweet, and also very little pungency. About half strength of what we got from the more expensive stuff.
The buds were very well trimmed, very little to no leaves that weren’t completely covered in crystals, and despite being dense down to the stem were in fact quite fluffy and light (noticed after grinding). The buds were very light green, with SOME minor red hairs, but not much, with no real stem to speak of.
When we ground it up it was SUPER zesty/lemony, a bit of sweetness/pine, and some pungent in the background. We smelt this pungency before in other ’skunky’ buds and it was the same. It wasn’t super sticky when we pinched it between our fingers.
Vaping it at low temperatures was perfumy/flowery, but cranking it up to 195 we got that hot and sour food taste, dirty fast food taste that we’ve seen in every other skunky bud. DESPITE it being such a distinct taste, it was a tad bit mild but by far that was the only thing we tasted. The unique taste that seemed to change the more you tasted it ... lasted throughout the entire vape before the burned baked goods taste came out.
Smoking it at FIRST was a bit harsh (maybe temp change from vape) but afterwards it was very very light on the lungs, and thick white smoke, creamy, like the other skunky strains. Because of the smoothness of the smoke and the thickness I wouldn’t really complain about smoking it over vaping it. The room had a familiar skunky taste when leaving and re-entering the smoking room which we we saw in other skunky strains.

Haven’t seen too many strains with the words ’black’ ’gas’ but have seen many with ’white’, ’death’, ’purple’ and they seem to maintain consistency throughout different strains ... this one I can see why they named it black gas. Labeled at AAAA (but closer to AAA) its priced below 10$ a gram which matches the overall experience of it.
Very well trimmed with no fan leaves, little stem and a clean, shiny, overall gloss to it. A real skunky, stinky, pungent, smell, but not pure skunk, it smelt a bit sweet but more rotten fruit than anything.
Grinding it up just smelt foul but thats the kind of uniqueness we want to find in buds. It’s completely the opposite of a ’traditional’ smell both ground up and straight bud, very cool!
The bud was dense right to the stem and overall pretty crusted in crystals which gave way to the overall light color (almost no red hairs). Ground up maintained that light color and was surprised to how we almost got a full grinder off so little. That pungent, dirty smell maintained throughout with a slight smell of oak, wood, earth, etc.
Vaping it was soooooo diesel. Tasted like wine in an oak barrel, very dark, BITTER, really a strong, consistent taste. Even leaving it to cook in the vape for a while just made it more whiskey-bitter, oaky, etc. Its a taste that we’ve seen before so wasn’t super unique but still something that goes well with a morning coffee or an afternoon tea.
Smoking it was a bit harsh on the throat and heavy on the lungs. It produced a nice, thick, white smoke, really satisfying to exhale. Perhaps it was the high thc (as claimed on leafy) that caused the heavy lungs? Hard to tell.
It burned a light grey, darker grey, with 1 spec of bone white ash. What was nice about the burning is the after tasted was a really really nice flower, perfume taste, MUCH better than tasting just dirty ash.
The effects were very slow but kicked in immediately. It is a very cerebral indica; you can walk around, do things, but can’t really think. It turns you into a zombie without the couch lock. Eventually you get more head-buzz (perhaps the sativa) such as intense focus, hearing affected, some visual changes, but overall droopy, lazy, zombie. It’s a nice indica effects and maintains a medium-high strength throughout.
I would give this 4/5 just because it wasn’t labeled as a AAA and was a bit harsh, but on all other fronts (bag appeal , vape, and some taste in the pipe) it was a good diesel bud and something that I would take when my other diesels run out.

This 70/30 Hybrid Indica priced at a 11/1g was grown by ’Gas Demon’ which we haven’t seen much of (or anything before). Just the name Strawberry Cheesecake made me glad they sent it as a free sample (as I’m a sucker for sweet strains).
The bud itself looked pretty decent, not SUPER crystally but still had a nice, darker tint to it masking out the lighter leaves. It was pretty well trimmed and almost no stem with an even 50/50 of buds and red hairs.
The smell tho.. a sweet CHEESE smell with a slight fruity hint afterwards (dont know if could say strawberries but was fruity).
Breaking it in half yielded nice purple tints near the stem and a consistent amount of crystals all the way. I would say it even looked better near the stem than the outside of the bud!
When ground up that cheese smell was quickly overpowered by pine scent, so it would be about 50/50 cheese and pine. Didn’t really smell too much fruit after that.
Vaping it wasn’t spectacular nor was it bad. In the end the taste was very mild and at low temps of 180 we got some flower/perfume smells (not sweet) and at higher about 190 we got fresh baked goods taste. So it wasn’t terrible but nothing I would show off to a friend.
In the pipe yielded a light grey -> dark grey ash with no real specs of white. Smoking it was OK-smooth, but easy on the lungs, and PRETTY decent smoke (not super white and thick). Didn’t really have much taste but thats to be expected when comparing to vaping.
The best part was probably the effects: energetic, happy, creative, relaxed, no anxiety. The feelings first kicked in after the first toke with the tingling behind the eyes, head buzz, not much body but just relaxed. Eventually it became a very cerebral effects (hearing, eyes, focus) and at the same couch lock/laziness. Some wobblyness when sitting down as welll
So probably a good thing to wind down the night but wouldn’t say its great to go and socialize / do heavy chores. Since this was rated a AAA+ (but to be safe lets say AAA or AAA-) the rating was matching the overall experience. Great smell/bag appeal, ok vape, ok smoking, great effects. Interested to see if we can find more stuff from Gas Demon and how they achieve different tastes.

Dense, dark, and sticky this bud lives up to its name. Its got a nice overall shine to it, well trimmed (no fan leaves) and not much stems but what made it extra special was how sticky it was. Just holding it in my hand and squeezing it would cause it to stick to my finger. Probably one of the stickier if not THE stickiest nugs we’ve seen in a long time.
It had a mild berry smell mixed in with a bit of spices ... was interesting because I was used to smelling berry with sweetness usually... this was a nice change. Once grinded the smell of Pine almost burned the nostrils but afterwards was back to that mild berry/spice smell.
Vaping it was really pleasant, much more spice-flavor than berry and presented another food-like aroma which I would also describe skunk strains as.
Unfortunately when burning it was pretty harsh on the throat which may have stopped me from getting the nice thick smoke. It burns a light grey to dark ash. The plus side was that you could taste those spices even under high heat and eventually you got thicker smoke.
The high was very body buzz, couch lock, numbness/dumbness, not something you’d wanna go out and meet new people. Stay at home kick back kinda feeling. Def a creeper high that maintains a long experience as well. So nothing to complain in terms of strength or effect.
My only gripe with it is that it should be labeled closer to a AAA: even the price matches a AAA! Would make more sense and probably would help raise my overall impressions with it. I would recommend this part of a mix pack over buying a large amount to have once in a while but maybe not everyday kind of thing.

Visually this bud reminded me a lot like the Fruity Pebbles we had a few weeks back: very colorful, dark green, light green, red hairs, some purple, VERY dense, very well trimmed (no fan leaves) and the buds were made up of smaller buds kinda stuck together.
This hybrid indica was rated as 70/30. It yielded a strong cheesy smell which we’ve seen in other buds like the blueberry cheesecake but this one was REALLY cheesy, like cutting into old cheese. It ground up to a nice light colored bud and also maintained that cheese smell.
I was expecting an equally sweet smell when vaping tho and was met with more of a baked-good smell, not the type that smells after the vape is spent but fresher baked good smell. With this also came a bitter after-taste. Even tho the taste in the vape wasn’t that great, the effects kicked in immediately.
Probably the best part of it was actually lighting a flame to it: VERY smooth, a bit heavy on the lungs (maybe the high thc?) but also the effects kicked in immediately.
Overall got to be a very body buzz relax, but quite a strong sativa feeling of alertness, social, creative and a creeper feeling that starts off at around 10 seconds and peaks after 2-3 mins. Isn’t necessarily a good thing to smoke before going to bed as the sativa effects are strong and yet too big of a body buzz to go out and party.
Burns a light grey, light white ash with some darker spots and a few white spots.
I would describe this as something you would want to smoke a joint from but not necessarily vape both in terms of enjoyment and strong effect.

We haven’t really paid much attention to the producers of MoM stuff... only OCS so it’s probably a good time to start :D This Chocolope comes from The Unknown grower, a hybrid sativa for a whopping 15$ / gram. With no real THC/CBD I have to assume it must be pretty high to warrant that price.
The buds themselves look REALLY close to our all-time favorite from Broken Coast (those foxtails, dark colors, looks like a hand) so I was happy to see the entire jar was like that. Super fluffy, light buds (hollow at the center of the nug) but each foxtails was densely packed. So grinding up just one ’finger’ of it was more than enough. Dark in color but coated in crystals it was hard to tell if it was a light/dark bud, but it had some loooong red hairs.
It smelt very very sweet, fruity, tropical, not like ’honey aroma’ but like sugar / sucrose. When grinding it up we got hit HARD with that pine smell to the nose, followed by more of that sweet sweet smell, and a HINT of chocolate.
When vaping tho it took us by surprise: a much more bitter, darker aroma (NOT diesel) and much closer to dark chocolate with no sugar/milk added. We’ve seen this bitter taste before in other buds (OCS and MoM) but this time with the slight taste of chocolate it provided an interesting flavor. Perhaps a good coffee + vape combination?
Smoking in the pipe was probably the top I’ve had in a LONG time. Shisha-throat smoothness (not at all scratchy), very easy on the lungs and really nice THICK white smoke. I could smoke it from the pipe and not even the heat would bother me. The taste was nice but its always hard to judge if you were vaping it before.
The sativa, energetic high kicked in right away and continued to creep up 1-5 mins. The indica took way longer so what we got was a rollercoaster: Energetic, creative, social, euphoric, mild-visual sativa high, followed by a very heavy body buzz, VERY visual effects, super-focused but also glued to the chair. I don’t know if to describe it as Hybrid Sativa or Hybrid Indica but either way it had NO anxiety, no real pass/out couch lock and still social. Would do this even if at home just for chores (but maybe not too focus).
All in all I would say this is one of our top strains we came across but comes at a very high price. In the future I’m interested to try other Chocolope and compare to see if it was the brand that made it good or the entire strain is top shelf.

The indica took way longer so what we got was a rollercoaster: Energetic, creative, social, euphoric, mild-visual sativa high, followed by a very heavy body buzz, VERY visual effects, super-focused but also glued to the chair. I don’t know if to describe it as Hybrid Sativa or Hybrid Indica but either way it had NO anxiety, no real pass/out couch lock and still social. Would do this even if at home just for chores (but maybe not too focus).
All in all I would say this is one of our top strains we came across but comes at a very high price. In the future I’m interested to try other Chocolope and compare to see if it was the brand that made it good or the entire strain is top shelf.

We’ve seen a lot of Diesel from Mom’s and OCS but not a lot of Skunk ... so I was interested in comparing it to the Royal High Super Skunk stuff we tried from OCS.
The package came with two buds, one looked like it was super nice and trimmed, fat, etc, and one a bit more leafy and untrimmed. I checked the site and the one with more fan leafs looked identical so decided to smoke the worse looking one for the review.
The smell of skunk was there for sure; pungent, rotten / sweet fruit smell, earthy, bit piney but def theres a smell of food. This smell of food and rotten/pungent was identical to what we smelt with the OCS in terms of skunk. The rest of the smells (diesel) were much stronger and probably accounted for the overall wood/sweet/oak pleasant smell.
In the vape right away you’re hit with a really strong diesel taste (oak, woody, earth, a bit sweet) and then slowly you taste that distinct ’hot and sour soup’ vinegar taste that .. hard to describe but there’s nothing else that taste so much like food and only on the Super Skunk from Royal HIgh we saw. This of course was pretty well matched with that taste diesel. I’d say a good balance down the middle and the taste remained consistent throughout.
Smoking it in the pipe was a BIT harsh ... maybe could have been smoother for sure. Despite this, and the fact that (perhaps due to freshness) we could TASTE that skunk flavor (hot and sour soup :D ) it was a nice surprise. It was also thick smoke and pretty light on the lungs. The ash burned a light grey / dark, very little bone-white.
The effects were very head-cerebral feeling, and got a bit couch locked after a while, but at the same time awake, functioning, can do work, creative, social, etc. Just a stay at home, but maybe not right before bed. Its a bit dizzying tho so best just to sit down and relax but provides an overall good-time feeling which is nice.
Due to the unique combination of Diesel and Skunk, and comparing to what I call ’official’ skunk from OCS, this would be a suitable replacement for that. Obviously priced much lower but in MY opinion, too much skunk flavor is a bit weird. The diesel, being a bit earthy, woody, etc, kinda cancelled out some of the weird vinegar/pungent taste and smell. I would recommend trying this if you are curious to what skunky flavor tastes like but more importantly if you like diesel. I also would have preferred this over the Indica Tom Ford Pink Kush as this one has more of a diesel flavor MIXED with skunk (despite the other being just a diesel flavor).

Let’s not kid ourselves and pretend this is going to be top shelf bud. I purposely bought it because it was 99$/oz (with a promotion came out to like 34 grams) and wanted to start comp...aring lower tier stuff among each other.
This bud is characterized as AA and hyrid/sativa at 60/40 which I would have to agree. Its leafy, could be better trimmed, smaller buds, lighter and fluffier, a bit stemmy but overall it’s what I expected. It has a nice slight smell of flowers and honey from the jar and continued to smell like that with a strong pine smell when ground up. It vaped OK but not great ... it tasted flowery, soapy, perfumy, which we’ve seen in OCS before too and other moms: good but not super unique.

Smoking it in the pipe yielded a bit of white ash but more light grey, not a big deal. It was pretty smooth on the lungs, thick smoke, but a bit harsh and not a great flavor when lighting it up.

The high is very cerebral but doesnt make you couch locked. Not really paranoid but get seeing/hearing effects and clumsiness. Probably good for sitting back at home, chatting, maybe light chores etc.

If they claimed it was anything but an AA I would give it 1/5 but it was an honest rating for something you’d probably smoke if you had to roll huge blunts or had something for day to day use. I may not order this particular strain again (as they have other cheap ones plus I prefer paying more to get a bit less) but for those looking for cheap and day to day with a good but not great flavor, strong high and overall enjoyable experience this may be for you.

This hybrid sativa 80/20 labeled with low-medium THC is an overall good experience, but not the most mind blowing we’ve seen from green ace. It’s got a really nice lemon, pine, acidic? smell with a good diesel aftertone. What’s really cool is we had the same bud from our first purchase provided as a sample and compared it to THIS sample, and the buds looked identical. From 2 months apart (and I assume 2 different harvests) the buds were really similar. This is a big plus as it shows care and most importantly consistency. The buds were pretty large (1.8gram) dense and lots of red hairs with an overall darker color. A bit of a stem in the middle but nothing too bad and no fan leaves at all. The smell once ground gave way to more of a diesel / lemon smell rather than the pure lemon which was nice. Vaping was really strong flavor (once again, mostly diesel) and if you let it cook at 185-190 really brought out those great flavors. Eventually tasted like the baked goods we sometimes see after it’s spent. Burning it was probably the most disappointing .. a bit harsh on the throat so I couldn’t get thick smoke... it also burned to a light grey to speckles of white. The effects felt in about a minute, peaked in 5-10 and was overall very visual, body tingling, behind-the-eyes, no couch lock and no anxiety which was a big plus in my books with some munchies at the end. I’d say pretty happy experience in the grand scheme of things. Unfortunately because it was harsh to blaze and the price they’re asking I would give it a 3.5/5, but the fact that this bud was consistent between 2 months I would say bump it up to 4/5 (and would rate it closer to an AAA than an AAA+). Plus with moms these days you keep an eye out and can probably find a sale/deal eventually. I’d recommend getting it in a sampler pack of 3.5-7g rather than a full ounce just in case you aren’t a fan of the strong lemon/acidic/diesel flavor I can see not everyone would like it

It’s hard to judge moms ...because there’s no real brand for each bud and it varies mom to mom. This hybrid indica of thc UP TO (but prob not exactly) 28%, and priced at 190 / o it wasn’t cheap but hopefully was strong. The AAA rating was also pretty honest which I think is the only thing you can really judge whether it was worth the money. Probably because we kept it so dry in a jar there wasn’t much smell to it (was dry) but I’m pretty sure that was our fault waiting for so long. The bud itself was a good mix of red hair to bud, a bit leafy (maybe could be a better trimmed) but overall very airy and light despite it being dense. Instead when we ground it up we got a much stronger aroma... Got a nice dark, diesel smell with a tad bit of pine. We’ve seen this before at other moms before and I would describe the coffee for pot; you can enjoy it for a while but its def a taste once a day for the flavor kinda thing. In the vape it was just like how it smelt; very diesely, a bit soapy / aromatic, overall very nice dark (coffee?-like) taste. Enjoyable for sure. Unfortunately was a bit harsh while smoking perhaps could be remedied with some better trimming, but burnt a nice WHITE ash ... which was complemented with a nice head-strong, visual, energetic effect. Creative not social and a bit of a couch lock, perhaps good if you have to sit at a computer for a while. The effects creep up and kick in strong about 5 minutes with a consistent peak, even outdid previous stuff that we smoked. If it wasn’t for the harshness I would give it 5/5 but I think 4 would suffice ... otherwise it matches the stated AAA, tasted nice, was strong, and looked pretty good. Maybe try to get it cheaper, bundled in smaller amounts as usually is the best way to see if its your thing.
