The bag appeal on this Rock Tuna was absolutely insane. Rated as a craft quad and I’d definitely agree. Beautiful bud structure and colour pallete, and generously blanketed in resinous trichome heads. Sticky to the touch when broken up and left my fingers clinging to one another.
As a fan of any tuna strains, I instantly recognized the pungent aroma of nose stinging gas, and that typical tuna dankness. Really stunk up the place with little effort. Translated to taste as well with a thick and overpowering smoke that wasn’t harsh but just really heavy and flavourful. Especially in a bong!
Extremely relaxing, sedating, and euphoric type indica high with strong couch locking effects. Probably should keep it hidden from the rookie smokers as it’s definitely a potent one. For the price it was listed it would have been a steal but unfortunately sold out.
God’s Green Crack

Despite it being such a household name, there’s something oddly exciting about ggc. This one from lowpricebud is part of their end of the year sale and came with really nice bag appeal. Plump and sticky buds that are neatly trimmed and heavily caked in trichs. Lots of orange hairs with your typical ggc colours in purples and greens.
The nose on this flower is very herbal and woodsy with a sweet, earthy finish. Really intensifies as the buds are broken up. The smell translates fairly nicely to the taste, just not as pronounced. Pretty smooth though, producing a semi-thick smoke that burns a light grey ash in a bong.
Produces a very heady and relaxing high, and begins with an immediate heaviness behind the eyes. Fairly uplifting too paired with a calming and functional body buzz. Great hybrid effects that are suitable for any activity.

Only had this potent strain a few times and this was a very good rendition of it without a doubt. Dense nugs with a tight structure and littered with trichs throughout. Mainly forest green in colour with subtle purple hues, and very little leaf. Also moderately sticky with a good moisture level and clean snapping of the stems.
Nothing super crazy with the smell or taste but a very familiar one at that. Earthy, piney, and nutty, with some herbal undertones. Smooth and easy on the lungs when smoked in a joint, with a light grey/salt and pepper ash.
Found the high to be fairly potent and came on more so in creeper fashion. Relaxing mind and body effects that were heavily indica leaning and made me quite tired when I smoked some in the afternoon.
Platinum Cookies Shatter

This shatter had a nice appearance and texture to it and for the listed price I feel like it’s decent quality. Arrived a little cold of course and was more ’shatter like’ but as soon as it warmed up to room temp it became more malleable and sticky with a pull and snap consistency.
Dabbing at medium temp brought out the flavours quite well and was rather terpy. Tastes of sweet and musky berries and was smooth on the lungs. The residue left in the banger was a tad darker when q tipped.
Very relaxing and tingly body stone after a couple dabs and an all around feel good type of high. Slightly indica leaning as well but didn’t leave me severely burned out afterwards.

Like my last order of orange kush, this stuff was another great deal for the price and especially after using my ks points. Easy to score a high rating when you receive something that looks, smells, tastes, and smokes good. Only thing holding it back from a perfect score is the buds are all around a toonie size. But again, the quality vs value ratio is very high here in all other categories. Nothing dry and a decent moisture level as well, with minimal leaf. Not as frosty looking on the outside than the inside.
The more I smoke, the more I enjoy it and it offers a very relaxing, creeping body high and also very euphoric and stoney. Burns decent as well with a lighter ash and is quite smooth in a joint or bong. The profile is very pleasant to say the least. Notes of creamy dough and vanilla with hints of guava and spice. It smells stronger than it tastes but perhaps vaping will get it’s true flavours out. Another great KS pick up!
9 Pound Hammer

I received a sample of this 9 pound hammer in my order and it’s a really smooth smoke. Unfortunately I had a cold at the time and didn’t get to taste it In full. Only my 2nd time having this strain and the buzz was very potent and indica leaning. A strong, heady and behind the eyes buzz that kicked in after a few puffs and hit like a hammer, followed by a powerful couch lock. Definitely will be looking to try this strain again anytime I see it.

Great value for the price with this orange kush and I actually regret not getting more. It’s a very enjoyable daytime smoke that isn’t too heavy, as it’s uplifting and relaxing. Feels like a sativa leaning hybrid in it’s effects and the high isn’t super long lasting.
Reminded me of weed I used to get way back and has a pleasant, sweet and citrusy smell and taste with an added peppery spice. Burned very nice and smooth and is really easy to smoke on with no harshness at all and a light coloured ash.
All of the buds were a decent size, ranging from medium to some larger 2 gram and up nugs, and very little popcorn. Great trim and moisture level to them as well, with a dense and tight structure.

Smells and tastes like actual goji berries with a bit of a peppery finish. It’s pretty unique in those regards. Only tried a sample so didn’t get to experience it to the full extent as it was myself and another person smoking. Has a relaxing and chill hybrid type high that I usually get from certain OG strains.

Lovely sativa that is sure to lift ones mood as it did mine, in classic sativa fashion. Really love this strain and would definitely get a larger amount. Aromas and flavours of sweet and zesty citrus and spices and smokes very smoothly in the bong. Didn’t get a chance to roll a j of this one but I would imagine it would be even smoother and tastier.

Banana OG

This is the third banana strain I have in my stash as I’ve been really enjoying them lately. This banana og has really become a favourite in the last few days and a must buy for whenever I see it in the future. Large, dense, chunky buds that are neatly trimmed with minimal leaf and plenty of rustic orange hairs. Very green in appearance, with subtle purples hues, and just covered by a thick coating of trichomes. Real sticky to the touch especially when broken apart, and produces a satisfying snap of the stem.
The aroma and taste of this banana og is more influenced by the og side at first, having earthy and kushy notes. When broken up there are hints of sweet and sour banana. Not as sweet and artificial as other banana variations I’ve tried but very pleasant nonetheless. The smoke is thick and hard hitting, yet pretty smooth on the lungs, just how I love it. Burns a light grey ash in a joint.
Potent indica leaning high on this one and is quite potent. It comes on fairly quickly even though some say it’s a sleeper. Heady and euphoric with a relaxing body buzz. A couple yawns here and there but nothing too sedating, although that could vary depending on tolerance. One of the standouts lately from my recent orders.

This gelato here is one of the most memorable times I’ve had the strain, and for many reasons too. For starters, it has a lovely appearance. Medium to large, well manicured buds, that are heavily caked in trichomes and sport just the loveliest shades of purples and greens. Fluffy yet a little dense in the center, with virtually no leaf and plenty of orange hairs. A little crispy on the outside, but plenty sticky within. A day or two with an integra helped make them perfect again.
The terpene profile of this gelato is mouthwatering. Sweet, doughy, and tart notes that remind me of freshly baked goods. Some soft and pleasant vanilla undertones as well. A very enjoyable and smooth smoking flower that burns a light coloured ash in a joint. I was really taking some big rips and didn’t even feel the urge to cough.
Starts off with quite the head high, providing uplifting and euphoric effects to go along with a very calming body stone. Becomes more relaxing as the high builds with a functional couch lock that’s perfect for binge watching shows. Really enjoyed this one overall.
Holy Grail

I’ve only had Holy Grail a couple of times and it’s always been a memorable smoke. This one from CWS came in smaller, quarter sized nuggets, sporting shades of forest greens and hues of purples. Sticky and frosty with a thick and resinous layer of trichs. Decently trimmed with more of a denser structure rather than fluffy.
The aroma is pungent mix of earthy/woodsy kush and spicy herbs, followed by some gassy undertones. Very pronounced and stinky stuff that translates nicely over to taste, with strong spicy, kush notes. Some hard hitting smoke that packs a real punch but is surprisingly smooth on exhale. Burns a light grey ash in both bong and joint.
This one produces a very relaxing/sedative high that is extremely indica dominant. Calming, couch locking effects, that gradually grew stronger with time, and a noticeable want for munchies that I usually never get. A little went a long way with this one and I found myself letting the joint go out a few times.
Khalifa Kush

Don’t see this strain around too often and the word is the genetics are only available to wiz but this kush was great nonetheless. Good bag appeal on this slightly dense, olive green bud, as it’s decently trimmed with tons of fiery orange hairs and full trichome heads. Very sticky to the touch and would be a chore to break up by hand.
The aroma of this khalifa kush is very gassy and kushy with strong lingering notes of lemon pine and stinks up the room effortlessly. Translates perfectly on the exhale with a gassy/kushyness followed by an unmistakable lemon og aftertaste. Flavourful and pronounced smoke, as well as smooth despite it producing such thick smoke. Burns fairly clean with a light salt and pepper ash.
Found the high to be potent and long lasting with strong mind and body effects. Uplifting and euphoric, yet calming and relaxing without the sedation. A perfectly balanced hybrid and a great daytime strain, as it can still be functional and clear headed.

I’ve heard the term Wheelchair weed before as a slang for a really powerful and couch locking indica. This one that Walter recommended from his site is definitely worthy of the saying. Comes in a 10 gram plastic container sealed with a tuna can lid and the buds within were very sticky to the touch and extremely resinous. Each bud is coated in a blanket of trichomes, sporting hues of greens, and vibrant orange hairs. Also a pretty a good trim with minimal sugar leaf hear and there.
Very pungent and dank aroma after popping open the sealed can lid. Notes of powerful gas and diesel fuel ooze off the bud, especially after grinding, and sting the senses when going in for a smell. The taste is equally as loud and pronounced when smoked, with a heavy and sharp gassyness on the exhale, with some piney, kushy undertones. Produces a very thick but smooth smoke as well, and burns with a light coloured ash and oil ring.
Just like the name suggests, the high this one offers is a heavy and potent couch locker that left me glued to my chair. Relaxing, body buzzing effects as well, and my legs felt heavy and unwilling to be of use. Not necessarily sedating right away, making it perfect for gaming and tv. It did however leave me very burned out and lazy afterwards.

Had this strain a hand full of times and absolutely love it, especially as a huge fan of any pink related strains. I can easily say this is the best rendition of Tom Ford I’ve had the pleasure of smoking. The buds arrived in a super sticky fashion and stuck to anything with ease. Just handling them for picture taking was enough to leave my fingers clinging together. Full, visible trichome heads that blanket these dense and heavily resinous nugs from head to toe.
My house absolutely stunk minutes after opening the lid on this Tom Ford. It’s very pungent and will definitely make any lover of gassy strains smile. This budder is another in house extract and has a very nice appearance and texture. Almost has a consistency of a thin type of chocolate but it doesn’t crack when slicing a piece off and is rather soft at room temp. Really easy to work with.
Lovely smell upon opening the silicone container ( I always transfer my stuff to glass afterwards if I’m not going to finish it quickly) Aromas of sweet earth and kush with a flavour that’s identical when dabbed. Was rather smooth and terpy at medium temp.

One of the options in the extracts menu, this is the in house terp sauce with diamonds. It is indeed a very saucy consistency and you can feel the diamond granules when scooping some on to a dab tool. Didn’t need to use much either to get a lot of vapour from a medium temperature dab.
The taste was really hard to figure out at first but the best way I would sum it up would be a blend of gas and earth with a strong herbal finish on the exhale. Not my favourite of profiles but it was quite smooth and left no dark residue behind in the banger.

This neat little vape is one of the most discreet I’ve seen around. I’ve been using it for a few days now and it seems well built and I haven’t had to charge it yet straight out of the pack. Equipped with a 410 mAh battery and ceramic element.
The strain/flavour is Washington Apple and contains 1.2 ml THC distillate with added natural terpenes. Tastes like green apples and berries and is very flavorful and smooth unless you take too big of a rip or hold it in too long. I find distillate vapes can give you that ’throat tickle’ sensation and induce coughing if ripped on too hard.
Perfect type of high for being on the go and still remaining functional and active. Being a distillate, it’s a head high only and doesn’t have any body or physical type effects. It does however go straight to the head after a few small puffs and is quite cerebral. After not vaping for a while, this one was very enjoyable.

These lovely and tasty bars are made by Walter’s Aunt and are easily the best chocolate bar edibles I’ve had. It’s nearly identical to the original and the taste of cannabis is hidden very well. The entire bar is 75mg of THC and splits into 6 pieces.
Eating the whole bar over a few minutes gave me a mild, but enjoyable buzz, almost like taking a couple puffs off a joint. I do have a higher tolerance however and two bars would definitely hit me harder. Everyone has their sweet spot of course though.
Final Notes
This is Walters new place from BcBudStore that I’m sure many around here remember. The grapefruit soda is a strain I always hear being talked about but never had a chance to try it. I’ve heard the term Wheelchair weed before as a slang for a really powerful and couch locking indica. This one that Walter recommended from his site is definitely worthy of the saying. Comes in a 10 gram plastic container sealed with a tuna can lid and the buds within were very sticky to the touch and extremely resinous. Each bud is coated in a blanket of trichomes, sporting hues of greens, and vibrant orange hairs. Also a pretty a good trim with minimal sugar leaf hear and there.
Very pungent and dank aroma after popping open the sealed can lid. Notes of powerful gas and diesel fuel ooze off the bud, especially after grinding, and sting the senses when going in for a smell. The taste is equally as loud and pronounced when smoked, with a heavy and sharp gassyness on the exhale, with some piney, kushy undertones. Produces a very thick but smooth smoke as well, and burns with a light coloured ash and oil ring.
Just like the name suggests, the high this one offers is a heavy and potent couch locker that left me glued to my chair. Relaxing, body buzzing effects as well, and my legs felt heavy and unwilling to be of use. Not necessarily sedating right away, making it perfect for gaming and tv. It did however leave me very burned out and lazy afterwards.

Had this strain a hand full of times and absolutely love it, especially as a huge fan of any pink related strains. I can easily say this is the best rendition of Tom Ford I’ve had the pleasure of smoking. The buds arrived in a super sticky fashion and stuck to anything with ease. Just handling them for picture taking was enough to leave my fingers clinging together. Full, visible trichome heads that blanket these dense and heavily resinous nugs from head to toe.

This one is probably my favorite, just ahead of the purple punch because I love a good OG. Buds are frosty and slightly dense yet fluffy, and sport that typical zombie appearance with soft, pale greens and tan orange hairs. Trimmed rather nicely with only some protective sugar leaf remaining, and very sticky as the weed clumps with ease when ground up.
The aroma and taste of this zombie og is almost identical to any that I’ve had in the past. Sweet and creamy with woodsy pine undertones. Very pleasant smelling weed to me and such an underrated profile. Also some underlying notes of lavender that become especially prevalent upon exhale. Produces a thick but smooth smoke that is easy on the lungs and full flavoured. Burns pretty clean too leaving behind a light salt and pepper ash.
A quick onset of effects, producing a heady and uplifting high combined with a very calming and couch locking buzz. I wouldn’t advise smoking this if you have stuff to do as I got real lazy, real quick. A potent and long lasting stone as well, making for a very enjoyable rendition of zombie og.

More of a ’tamer’ take on purple punch bag appeal wise, but not too shabby at all, just different. The buds are dense and tight, with small orange hairs and plenty of trichomes. A few visible leaves here and there but not a bad trim overall. The moisture level is on the slightly sticky side but more so in the centre of the buds. An Integra really helped after a couple of days.
The aroma is slightly mild at first but gets much stronger after grinding some up. Sweet and creamy notes with fruity/berry like undertones. Reminds me of some black berry cheesecake that I just recently had. Soft and subtle, but pleasant, and really gets better with some jar time. Translates well to the taste, carrying that same sweet creaminess with subtle notes of berry. Fairly smooth on the exhale, producing a thick yet gentle smoke that burns a salt and pepper ash.
Decent buzz on this one that isn’t super powerful or overly potent, but offered some enjoyable hybrid effects. Starts off in the head and spreads to the rest of the body. Very relaxing, promoting a calming body buzz with a bit of a burnout in larger doses, but nothing overwhelming.

This purple kush is one of their in house strains and listed as a budget bud. The buds arrived slightly dry and more in the popcorn variety but keeping in mind it was a 2 gram sample and not a large amount. A litte leafy but overall not a bad look, with dark orange hairs and a visible amount of trichomes.
At first the nose is a little muted but after a cracking a bud open there is a slight earthy sweetness. It’s not pungent or very pronounced but still pleasant enough. The taste is similar when smoked, with subtle notes of sweet kush and earth. Not a harsh smoke but not the smoothest either and burned a bit on the darker side.
The high was mostly indica leaning and offered a mellow, relaxing and calming high. Not overly potent or sedating and I had to smoke a bit more than usual to get a decent buzz. Overall for a budget strain it’s not a bad option, especially for those with lower tolerances not looking to get absolutely blasted.

A staple strain of CWS. They seem to always have a great PSC and I’ll usually grab it when I see it, and this batch here follows suit. The buds are sticky and resinous and sport just the loveliest shades of purple and violet. Plenty of rustic orange hairs with even more shiny trichome heads. Looks somewhat fluffy but holds a nice density and even a little nug breaks up to a good amount.
The smell on this PSC is like a mixture of sweet tarts and welches grape juice with earthy overtones. Translates well on the exhale with sweet notes of grape followed by the unmistakable taste of gsc. Smokes very smooth and burns a clean white ash in a joint.
Definitely a crowd pleasing strain and has become popular amongst my friends and myself. I feel like it’s mostly a sativa leaning hybrid type of high although I’ve had indica leaning phenos. Not a knockout or heavy hitter but very uplifting and euphoric with spacey, heady effects. It’s a really decent choice for a daily driver strain.
Gelato

This Gelato had a really interesting and lovely bag appeal and I would have added more to my order had I known what a great smoke it ended up being overall. Mostly very dark green in appearance with sharp and vibrant shades of purple. The orange hairs also give it a great contrast as does the blanket of frost. Dense and sticky texture with some leaf at the base of the buds but nothing extreme.
I’ve had gelato numerous times and it’s a strain that can vary quite differently in profile. This one in particular smelled quite gassy and sweet, with hints of nuttiness, vanilla, and pepper. Also has that doughy, baked goods type of aroma. The taste was pretty similar with an added touch of earth and spice on the exhale. Thick and creamy smoke that burned light ash.
A great strain for hybrid lovers and I would say it’s slightly indica dominant in it’s effects. At least this one was as smoking a little too much had me yawning heavily after dinner. It offers a good balance of uplifting/social and relaxing traits. Can be a couch locker too and for that I find it perfect for winding down after dinner in true dessert strain fashion.

Purple Space Tuna is a cross of Tuna and Purple Space Cookies which are 2 strains that seem to frequent the menu. The bag appeal is fairly nice with green and purple hued, medium sized nugs that are covered in orange hairs and frosty trichomes. Not too dense but the stickiness sure gives it that effect when trying to break them apart. Decently trimmed, although there is a good amount of sugar leaf.
The aroma coming off these buds are of a sweet and gassy variety, with that classic tuna kush nose. Very dank, especially on the exhale, which in turn produces a very smooth and flavourful smoke. Slow burning with an instant oil ring leaving behind a light grey ash.
This one packed a good punch with my favourite type of high as it’s super euphoric and spacey. It hits instantly with a surging head buzz and a general feeling of being uplifted and happy. Slowly progresses into a relaxing body stone that has the potential to put one to sleep depending on tolerance/amount but if you can stay awake it’s a real treat especially in higher quantities.

Classic, good ol’ death bubba. This one from cws came real sticky and gooey, sporting a semi tight trim with good trichome coverage. Plump and fairly dense as it’s quite hard to pry open a bud. Good contrast of colors as well as the fiery orange hairs compliment the forest greens nicely.
The aroma is undeniably death bubba. Musky, earthy and kushy with a slight gas. Such a classic and peculiar smell that instantly fills up a room. Translates very well to the taste with earthy and kushy notes followed by a peppery gas. Flavourful and heavy smoke that is decently smooth on exhale, although just a tad overwhelming because of it’s thick and hearty smoke. Burns a light salt and pepper ash in both bong and joint.
Offers an extremely heady high at first with spacey effects. Kind of gives you that floating head type of feeling with the rest of your body being numb and glued to the couch. Quickly drifts off into a relaxing and sedating body stone followed by a state of blissfulness. A couple bong hits and I was ready for bed.

Another classic strain that has been around and smoked by everyone and their mother. That being said it’s still a classic in it’s respects. These tight, forest green nugs were very dense and sticky to the touch. Some hues of purple as well with ample trichome coverage and vibrant orange hairs.
I’ve always loved the profile of Rockstar, especially as someone who loves a gassy smoke. This one was quite pungent with strong notes of forest pine and gas with some lingering earthy and spicy undertones. Thick and hard hitting smoke that can be overwhelming and cough inducing as well as a nose stinger. Burns slow and greasy with a light coloured ash.
Offers a very familiar and enjoyable indica high that isn’t really focused on sedation but rather pain relief and functionality. It makes it ideal for medicating at any time of the day. All around calming and relaxing effects. Also packs a decent potency with a long lasting, cerebral buzz.

The aroma coming off these buds are of a sweet and gassy variety, with that classic tuna kush nose. Very dank, especially on the exhale, which in turn produces a very smooth and flavourful smoke. Slow burning with an instant oil ring leaving behind a light grey ash.
This one packed a good punch with my favourite type of high as it’s super euphoric and spacey. It hits instantly with a surging head buzz and a general feeling of being uplifted and happy. Slowly progresses into a relaxing body stone that has the potential to put one to sleep depending on tolerance/amount but if you can stay awake it’s a real treat especially in higher quantities.
Death Bubba

Classic, good ol’ death bubba. This one from cws came real sticky and gooey, sporting a semi tight trim with good trichome coverage. Plump and fairly dense as it’s quite hard to pry open a bud. Good contrast of colors as well as the fiery orange hairs compliment the forest greens nicely.
The aroma is undeniably death bubba. Musky, earthy and kushy with a slight gas. Such a classic and peculiar smell that instantly fills up a room. Translates very well to the taste with earthy and kushy notes followed by a peppery gas. Flavourful and heavy smoke that is decently smooth on exhale, although just a tad overwhelming because of it’s thick and hearty smoke. Burns a light salt and pepper ash in both bong and joint.
Offers an extremely heady high at first with spacey effects. Kind of gives you that floating head type of feeling with the rest of your body being numb and glued to the couch. Quickly drifts off into a relaxing and sedating body stone followed by a state of blissfulness. A couple bong hits and I was ready for bed.

Another classic strain that has been around and smoked by everyone and their mother. That being said it’s still a classic in it’s respects. These tight, forest green nugs were very dense and sticky to the touch. Some hues of purple as well with ample trichome coverage and vibrant orange hairs.
I’ve always loved the profile of Rockstar, especially as someone who loves a gassy smoke. This one was quite pungent with strong notes of forest pine and gas with some lingering earthy and spicy undertones. Thick and hard hitting smoke that can be overwhelming and cough inducing as well as a nose stinger. Burns slow and greasy with a light coloured ash.
Offers a very familiar and enjoyable indica high that isn’t really focused on sedation but rather pain relief and functionality. It makes it ideal for medicating at any time of the day. All around calming and relaxing effects. Also packs a decent potency with a long lasting, cerebral buzz.

Every time I’ve had Blue God it’s never exactly won me over. This one however, completely changed my mind on the strain. Lovely bag appeal as this plump bud came sticky and frosty with a wonderful coating of milky trichs and orange hairs. Really compliments the purple and green colours of this perfectly trimmed nug.
The aroma profile of this blue god isn’t as earthy and piney as what I am accustomed to, but more sweet with very pronounced notes of blueberry candy. Really reminds me of mataro blue or blue sapphire, and instantly stinks up the room especially when ground up. Tastes pretty much the same with a sweet and earthy exhale followed by berry accents. Produces some thick, but smooth smoke that burns a clean light ash.
Quite the spacey and heady high with potent euphoric effects followed by a full on lazy type couch lock. Not the type of strain for being active and functional but perfect for chilling around the house with some munchies and games. This one ended up being one of the favourites in the strains I tried!
Violator

Mainland’s Violator is as consistent as they come, and this batch is once again very good. It arrived sticky and frosty with plenty of full trichome heads. Light green in colour and thin orange hairs all over. Has that kind of soft and ’squishy’ texture violator often has. Also very well trimmed.
The smell and taste are both very pronounced, with notes of earthy spice combined with the creamy Malana sweetness in it’s lineage. Very terpy and flavourful, producing such a smooth smoke that you still lingers around on the taste buds. Burns clean too, leaving a light coloured ash in both bong and joint.
Dominate indica effects are fairly potent and quite long-lasting, providing a super mellow high with some headiness. Very relaxing too, enabling a peaceful couch locking buzz minus too much sedation as I find it’s more functional. Great rendition of the classic Violator.
God OG Kush

Another Jordan of the Islands bred strain, along with a few others in this review such as Blue God and UBC Chemo (his own rendition). The appearance of this flower is beautiful. Subtle purple streaks throughout the rather dense bud, covered in frosty trichome heads and winding orange hairs. Sticky to the touch and perfectly trimmed as well, with hardly any visible leaf.
The profile of this strain does a good job showcasing the aromas and flavours of both parents, God Bud and OG Kush. A mix of earth and pine with spicy/herbal undertones and just a subtle touch of skunk that is more so tasted than smelled. It burned so smooth in a joint and one of those smokes that are easy on the lungs and never get hot. And like all of the strains from Mainland that I have tried, burned clean.
I read the description before smoking and was excited about the high being a classic creeper type as those are always the best when you least expect it. This did not disappoint, as halfway through a show, I was hit with such a heavy and relaxing couch lock, accompanied by a warm and fuzzy euphoria. Really potent head high as well that made it hard to focus on multiple things but very good on one thing only lol.

My second time having gelato from Mainland and it’s another great representation of the strain. Very dense and tight bud structure, also sticky to the touch, with purple hues throughout and a sea of orange hairs. It’s quite heavy too as a bud that looked like a gram ended being over a 1.7. Perfectly trimmed as there is no visible leaf on this nug.
The aroma this flower emits is really pronounced and intoxicating. Sweet and creamy with berry/citrus undertones, yet spicy and peppery. The flavour is as good as it smells, with a creamy smoke that is thick yet smooth on the lungs and very enjoyable. Burns clean as well, leaving a light coloured ash behind.

CBD Gelato

I’ve had a handful of CBD strains before but this is a first time coming across Gelato. A very nice bag appeal with some small trichome heads visible. I do believe there is a small amount of THC as well based on the effects which I’ll mention below. The bud is of a looser and fluffy structure and sports a very vibrant green colour, with some purple sugar leaves and winding orange hairs. Slightly dry on the outside and could use some time with a humidity pack.
The aroma isn’t similar to the gelato I am used to but then again it is a cbd flower. Instead it has a combination of sweet and herbal notes with a slight grassyness. It tastes similar when smoked, with sweet, earthy, and herbal undertones. Smoked rather smooth but with a slight throat tickle, and burned a light coloured ash.
Not too much info on this strain online but I do feel as there is still a THC content, albeit low. I felt slightly head buzzed but nothing overwhelming. It was also mellow and relaxing. I should note that I do have a higher tolerance but It did make me feel very calm and at ease after a small joint.
Bluefin Tuna

Third time having Mainland’s Bluefin Tuna and it’s just as dank and pungent as always. Looks quite different in appearance however as this slightly fluffy nug is all green in colour with thin orange hairs opposed to the dark purple buds from last batch. Still so very sticky and frosty with tons of trichomes and some sugar leaf. Even a tiny bit breaks up to a big amount and clumps together with ease.
The nose and taste of this bluefin is just so pungently dank and gassy with that tuna kush goodness. There’s also some subtle notes of sweet berry that linger after the exhale. Just makes for some nose stinging smoke that’s surprisingly so smooth. Also burns a clean light ash in a joint. Very enjoyable and flavorful flower that stinks up the whole house.
The high this one produces is strongly indica leaning with some potent heady effects. Spacey, in your head type of high, complimented by a very calming and relaxing body buzz. Quite sedating too as a couple hits off a joint had me yawning instantly. Might have to fill a big ol’ mason jar with some of this one day.

I’ve said this before about the last batch of Alien OG but this one may be even better. They both had a crazy bag appeal but this may be the more terpier and potent of the two. This sticky and frosty bud is semi dense, sporting wicked purple hues with light orange hairs and milky white trichomes. Pretty neat trim with minimal sugar leaf, more towards the base.
The aroma and taste of this one is a pleasant mix of lemon and pine with very tropical-like undertones. There’s also a nuttyness that becomes present upon exhale. Really flavourful on the pallet and lingers for quite some time. Smooth on the lungs and burns a lighter coloured ash and remained tasty throughout the whole joint.
This one produces a wicked high consisting of a mix of cerebral and physical effects. Uplifting and heady with a very calm and relaxing vibe. Doesn’t really put you to sleep as it’s suitable for day time use. This alien og is becoming a mlc staple and as a lover of OG strains it may be a new favourite.

This is a strain I’ve only had once and it really is a great indica that left an impression on me and has a pretty cool history with unknown genetics. Arrived in a beautifully trimmed nug, slightly dense and sticky in texture, sporting a light forest green colour. Covered in long orange hairs and a layer of trichomes.
An aroma and flavour profile that is very nostalgic, as it reminded me of ’old-school’ type weed from the early 2000’s. Nothing exotic tasting or tropical here, which can be refreshing sometimes. Instead it has a very earthy and herbal smell and taste, slightly woody, with hints of nuttiness and pine in the smoke. Very smooth on the exhale producing a clean and light coloured ash.
The high this UBC Chemo provides is heavy and relaxing and definitely effective with slight pain and anxiety relief. I smoked some after a long and strenuous work day and it instantly changed my mood as I was sore and lousy feeling. Made me quite tired as it wore off and if I smoked any more I could see myself dozing off.
Green Hulk

Not to be confused with the strain Incredible Hulk, this one is Green Hulk and it has quite a deep and complex lineage. Pepr, which is a Czech Land race, × Sweet Mendo Kush. This bud sports a very vibrant green colour like the hulk himself, with sharp orange hairs and a generous coating of trichomes. Not dry nor sticky, with a moderate moisture level and broke up nice and fluffy in the grinder.
Cracking this nug apart released a very herbal, sweet, and peppery aroma. There is something also fruity in the smell, and when smoking it I was finally able to detect it. It’s the taste of grapefruits with a sweet, tropical type of spiciness. I looked backed at the genetics and turns out there is indeed grapefruit somewhere down the lineage! Craziness. It was quite smooth to smoke in a joint, more so than a bong, as the peppery smoke can tickle the throat and get the sinuses going a bit. Burned a very light coloured ash as well.
A mostly indica leaning strain but plays out more like a balanced hybrid at first, with a mix of relaxing but social and uplifting effects. It’s not overpowering straight away but I found It to be quite the creeper that snuck up on me 20 minutes after smoking.

Everyone has probably tried this strain at one point as it seems to be a staple in the Canadian marijuana scene. It’s a Jordan of the Islands creation of God Bud and Green Crack. This pinecone shaped bud of GGC came looking extremely frosty in appearance with lovely dark shades of green and subtle purple colouration. Dense and sticky in texture with a tiny amount of leaves, making for a decent trim.
A very pungent aroma coming off this flower and especially after broken up. Notes of sweet herbs and incense with a rich woody and floral finish. Almost overwhelming to the senses and stings the nostrils. When smoked, the flavour comes through very nicely, offering a smooth exhale. Really enjoyable in a joint and the type of weed you can just keep taking power tokes of.
Might be as balanced as a strain can get in it’s hybrid category. A potent mix of body and mind effects, but not overly sedating or overly stimulating. It’s just a decent all around smoke, ideal for daytime use.

The name Tropical Truffle does this strain justice in every way. This flower is part of the Snazzy Strains Craft line-up and comes in a 7 gram plastic container that was sealed and included a 62% Integra boost humidity pack within. The buds arrived in an ideal texture, being sticky to the touch when broken up but not overly fresh. Very light green in colour with a coating of glistening trichomes and orange hairs. Also some purple colouration on some of the sugar leaves.
A cross of Tropicana Cookies and Mint Chocolate Chip and listed as an even 50/50 hybrid. The aroma is very telling of the lineage as soon as you crack open the lid. Waves of sweet and creamy citrus are met with a doughy, and a faint cocoa like smell. Also some hints of grapefruit. The smoke is very smooth on the inhale and exhale and carries over the rich and creamy citrus notes, with a touch of grapefruit that lingers on the tongue. Burns with a very light coloured ash as well.
This one offered quite a balanced and even keeled high. A combination of heady and body effects that left me relaxed and all around happy feeling. Found it to be a great social strain as well and made me very talkative. Really loved this one and everyone that smoked it with me instantly wanted to know what the strain was. Great genetics and as a fan of cookie strains this was a winner.
8 Ball

8 Ball is another pick from the Snazzy strains menu and also came packaged within a 7 gram plastic sealed container. Included a 62% Integra boost humidity pack within. It’s a descendant of the Afghani land race and is considered a heir to it, being better rounded in all categories. These buds were very resinous looking with visible full trichome heads all over. They appear fluffier at first but are semi dense at the core. Dark forest green in colour with bright orange hairs and some leaf here and there.
An aroma and flavour profile very similar to strains like Hindu Kush or Afghani, with a sweet and earthy kush presence, and hints of herbs and spice. Has a thick expansive smoke that can induce some coughing but not due to being harsh, just a heavy smoke. The ash when burned in a joint was a very light grey, a little on the pepper side, with a greasy oil ring.
The description of this strain says it generally boasts a lower thc with a modest 2-5 cbd percent as well. It did give me a great feeling high that wasn’t overpowering or sedating at first, but more on the mellow and relaxing side. Minor pain relief as well from the cbd and just helped take the edge off and give the mind a rest. Unique effects that aren’t like the usual knockout indica.

Blue fin tuna is a real potent strain, and this batch from wholesome monkey is just that. Buds are plump and nicely sized with a decent amount of trichomes and orange hairs. Fairly sticky, more so on the insides of the nugs, but also could use an Integra for some added moisture to the outsides. A bit of leaf around the bases of the buds but nothing considerable.
The nose on this stuff is very pungent with notes of what remind me of a kind of cheese strain. Surprising too, as I never had a blue fin tuna with these particular terps. Doesn’t translate to taste however, with the exhale being mostly sweet and kushy, with notes of faint berry. Pretty smooth as well despite it’s thick smoke, burning a light salt and pepper ash.
The high is this blue fin tunas strong suit. Seriously potent, bringing on a strong head buzz with a heavy body stone. Long lasting too as I was high for a decent amount of time. Makes for an effective and sedating night time smoke.
God’s Green Crack

God’s Green Crack is a strain I’ve had countless times and although not my favorite there is no denying it’s a potent strain. Medium sized, purple streaked buds that are between dense and fluffy, with thin rustic orange hairs. Good trich coverage as well, and the buds were moderately sticky in texture. Could be a bit better of a trim as there’s some more leaf than I’d like, but the majority of them are protective sugar leaf so I can’t be too picky.
The smell and taste of this ggc is just what I was expecting, and just like every ggc I’ve tried. Sweet and earthy, with woodsy, herbal undertones. Almost reminds me of cloves that are used in ketchup. Smooth on the exhale, burning a light coloured ash. Nothing insane or exotic tasting but enjoyable nonetheless.
The high is fairly potent, producing a sensitivity/buzzing behind the eyes right after the first hit. Uplifting as well, followed by a relaxing but functional body stone. I prefer this high over just green crack as the god bud definitely mellows out the intense sativa effects.

Got some goodies thrown in as well and tried a pre roll before the picture hence why there’s 4 lol. Seems like a sativa strain with a sweet and peppery, herbal taste and uplifted, focused high. The gummies are a light dose for me but all 4 gave a decent and relaxing body high. They tasted really good, but like most get a little bitter when the thc taste comes through.
Final Notes
My first time trying TWM and being local and in the same city as them, it’s about time I finally did. Nothing but good things to say about my first experience including the very friendly customer service, the flower, and the handy, local same day delivery. The Snazzy Strains were the definite standouts in the order and great representations of craft flower and would try other strains without a doubt.

The name Tropical Truffle does this strain justice in every way. This flower is part of the Snazzy Strains Craft line-up and comes in a 7 gram plastic container that was sealed and included a 62% Integra boost humidity pack within. The buds arrived in an ideal texture, being sticky to the touch when broken up but not overly fresh. Very light green in colour with a coating of glistening trichomes and orange hairs. Also some purple colouration on some of the sugar leaves.
A cross of Tropicana Cookies and Mint Chocolate Chip and listed as an even 50/50 hybrid. The aroma is very telling of the lineage as soon as you crack open the lid. Waves of sweet and creamy citrus are met with a doughy, and a faint cocoa like smell. Also some hints of grapefruit. The smoke is very smooth on the inhale and exhale and carries over the rich and creamy citrus notes, with a touch of grapefruit that lingers on the tongue. Burns with a very light coloured ash as well.
This one offered quite a balanced and even keeled high. A combination of heady and body effects that left me relaxed and all around happy feeling. Found it to be a great social strain as well and made me very talkative. Really loved this one and everyone that smoked it with me instantly wanted to know what the strain was. Great genetics and as a fan of cookie strains this was a winner.
8 Ball

8 Ball is another pick from the Snazzy strains menu and also came packaged within a 7 gram plastic sealed container. Included a 62% Integra boost humidity pack within. It’s a descendant of the Afghani land race and is considered a heir to it, being better rounded in all categories. These buds were very resinous looking with visible full trichome heads all over. They appear fluffier at first but are semi dense at the core. Dark forest green in colour with bright orange hairs and some leaf here and there.
An aroma and flavour profile very similar to strains like Hindu Kush or Afghani, with a sweet and earthy kush presence, and hints of herbs and spice. Has a thick expansive smoke that can induce some coughing but not due to being harsh, just a heavy smoke. The ash when burned in a joint was a very light grey, a little on the pepper side, with a greasy oil ring.
The description of this strain says it generally boasts a lower thc with a modest 2-5 cbd percent as well. It did give me a great feeling high that wasn’t overpowering or sedating at first, but more on the mellow and relaxing side. Minor pain relief as well from the cbd and just helped take the edge off and give the mind a rest. Unique effects that aren’t like the usual knockout indica.

This Ice Cream Cake is absolutely caked, no pun intended. It has such a lovely appearance and bag appeal, with vibrant shades of greens and purples, with bright orange hairs throughout. All covered in a frosty blanket of trichomes. Not overly sticky but what I would deem as an ideal moisture level. Very easy to roll and it grinds up nice and fluffy but will stick together when pressed between the fingers.
A cross of Wedding Cake and Gelato and this strain delivers the best of both worlds in it’s aroma and flavour profile. Such a sugary, sweet and creamy smell that is so pleasant, with lingering notes of vanilla and baked goods. Translates to taste flawlessly when smoked, and is even more pronounced than the smell, with a flavour that completely coats the pallet. It’s one of the terpier strains I’ve had as of late. Burned clean and slow as well, producing an instant oil ring.
As far as dessert strains go, this one was a real treat and the effects on it are rather potent and perfect for evening use and chilling around at home. It has a super relaxing demeanor, with couch locking effects that intensify with time, but also very euphoric. As a daily smoker with a high tolerance this one got me absolutely cooked.

Do Si Dos is one of those strains that I could never get enough of. It’s terrific in any way and this one even exceeded my expectations. It may even give the Ice Cream Cake a run for it’s money in terms of frostyness and appearance. Lively and vibrant light greens to accompany the purple hues and dark green sugar leaves. Many orange hairs as well giving it a plethora of colours. Moderate moisture level, probably got just a tad drier than usual with the cold weather but an Integra had it perfect again.
The aroma is subtle at first with a gentle sweetness and when broken up several other smells are introduced. It becomes even richer in sweetness, with added notes of spices and kush from it’s OGKB lineage. Also hints of something floral in there. It carries over when smoked as well and it’s impressive how smooth it is on every exhale. Remained flavorful throughout the whole joint, burning slow and resinous with a light coloured ash. Thick smoke but not harsh at all which is what I love especially because I use a bong a lot.
I found the buzz to come on quick and hit me smack between the eyes, offering a spacey head high at first. It eventually spread to the rest of the body, bringing on a wave of relaxation, and glued me in my place. Just sat back for the night and didn’t get up for a while, enjoying the full body buzzing effects. The high seems to last a decent amount of time as well without smoking too much.
